  • Nice Pamphobeteus Platyamma. How old?

  • 2 years

  • How did you get to upload a video this size. I tried to upload a 12min video but no luck. Can you help me?

  • you have to be a youtube partner to upload longer than 11 min videos

  • dont they cralw out of the cages?

  • they can

  • i posted that comment befor you put a lid over a bucket sooo yeah i sould write my comment after the video...

  • hehe, its cool

  • i have a 2 questions:

1-howd you get so many Tarantulas

2-whats a good Tarantula to get for a person who never ownd a Tarantula

  • 1- I bought them all

2- Eupalaestrus campestratus (pink zebra beauty), pinktoe (avicularia avicularia) or curly hair (Brachypelma albopilosum) or even the iconic mexican red knee (Brachypelma smithi)

  • really cool dude i like when they lunge forward and you wait to see if it missed or not =)

  • thanks mats as soon as i get my handy cam ill start doing vids om my 3 t's as i aint got the space i can only have 3 at the moment but am sure ill make great video's of them

  • what software do you use to convert and edit your video's mate

  • xilisoft movie converter 3 to convert mpg files to wmv (5 min and under) and use movie maker (which sucks) to edit

  • I use to use video edit magic to do capture, edit, and convert my videos, which was good. I need to buy it though. It gives you a 30 day free trial, which sounds good, if you make vids all the time. Which I don't. When your time is up you have to uninstall it and then reinstall it and hope it lets you do another free 30 day trial. Most of the time it doesn't Other than that, it is great to work with. Did the the Fang vs. Roach and Arachnotour 1 vid with it.

  • Great feeding video!

Just wondered how often you mist your sling and how you mist the substrate without misting the sling? Chris :)

  • once a week

  • What do you do with the molt?

  • keep them

  • Why? Do you frame them? or scrapbook them? lol

Okay, so whats a good temperature to leave her in? I heard that if you handle them too much when they're young they will become more agressive when older. Is that true? And I'm still too scared to hold it w/ my naked hand, can I wear a glove w/o making her uncomfortable? LOL sorry so many questions.

  • usually frame the larger skins, depose of the smaller.

    -Between 78 and 82F

It depends, old age does tend them to make them more agro. If you're really scared I wouldn't suggest handling it because they bite through gloves.

  • Wow you have so many! Do they all live in your room? I just adopted a Mexican Red Knee. It's so small. I can't wait until it grows. Any good tips?

  • yes they all live there.

Keep it like an ordinary adult tarantula but only on a smaller scale, you know like small prey, small enclosure, and moisting the substrate serves as a water dish

  • How come the thailand black has such a huge carapace but the abdomen is so tiny? Is it naturally like that?

  • the specimen freshly molted

  • Is the "T Shopping List" supposed to be a joke that whoever sees this video is going to have to buy all those species? ;-P

Wow, the pulcher's got some very poofy looking legs. I LOVE your collection! Can hardly wait until I could make up a collection like that.

Surprised to see a baboon sp. out.

  • ya, it's a joke lol

  • why u have so many spiders

  • You have such beautiful tarantulas and you take such good care of them, very nice to see. I have 5 spiderlings which I am feeding daily. Do you think that is too much or that it is possible to overfeed a spiderling? My G. pulchra, P. irminia, and P. regalis would probably eat twice what I give them. The B. smithi and the P. miranda will only eat about every 3 days. What do you think?

  • might want to change that feeding regiment. Depending on the species of tarantula, it is very possible to overfeed tarantula.

  • Thanks, I'll feed the spiderlings every 2 days instead. I feed the adults once a week. Keep up the good work Jon :)

  • Hey Jon, I just joined youtube. I love your videos. 5 stars. P.S i subscribed

  • Hi Jon, got my 1st t about 2 months ago b.smithi which is about 2 1/2" now, he or she is lovely. Getting 5 b.vagan slings tomorrow (1cm) any tips on rearing the slings would be greatly appreciated.

  • I do have sling care sheets, keeping them like adults but on a smaller scale

  • Ok thanks.... got them today, they are soooo tiny.

  • Hi Jon,great vids,keep them coming.

  • Hey Jon i'm getting a E.pachypus adult female $10!!!!!!!! VERY cheap!!!

  • that is NOT possible.

  • I don't think someone would sell an $100+ T for that low.

  • No they are though... 21 dollars in all for shipping!

  • its very fishy. Show me where you're getting it from

  • hey jon my T has burrowed really far down and the substrate is really dry she seems to be in premolt should i change the substrate or should i not bother her?

  • if its an old world, I wouldn't bother her. Pour water over the substrate to increase humidity

  • thanks man great vids btw

  • good vids jon...thats one of my second favorites of having Ts it the feeding the first its the molt i only wish i had more to feed...

  • thanks

  • until how big will a female parahybana be when juvenile?I have heard that THey are like bigger juvies than others. Its fast really fast and do they really grow an inch every molt?

  • They are juvie until they hit around the 5 inch mark, then you would start calling them sub-adults.

    They grow surprising quick

  • SO WHATS MORE NUTRICOUS FOOD,DUBIAS OR CRICKETS?HOW SHOULD I FEED It for it TO BE THE MONSTER THAT HAS LEGSPANS OF 10"

    HOW MANY FOR A WEEK?

  • 1-2 roaches a week I guess

  • was london an avic avic?

  • yes she was, she was a small juvenile

  • ok i she was NR.2 on my TS favourite list and megan is NR.1 favourite

  • cool feeding vid your fire red birdeater looked awesome

  • thanks

  • Why is your minax abdomen so small?

  • male probably

  • don't go by abdomen proportion size. Its a bad way to sex a tarantula and it never works

  • female actually, minax males are gray and smaller than the females

  • its a burrower, most haplopelmas have small abdomens

  • sweet video Jon really nice attacks thats awsome your chaco golden knee is in pre-molt cause I can't wait to see how big it gets after it molts.

  • jon cut your nails :D the vid is awsemone love your spiders :) respect +5

  • That rocks

  • hey jon do you have a humidifier in your room? i have my B.albo and shortly tomorrow a A.versi sling in my room....would I need a humidifier?

  • yes, I have a humidifier, its not really a requirement, tho u need a lot of humidity and ventilation to keep that versi alive. I had my A,fasciulata die on me, one of my most expensive losses

  • Jon I love your Metallica, I think I might have 2 males :( but that's ok cause maybe one day when it's easier to transport animals to Canada maybe we can mate them and get some of these gorgeous babies out, just a thought lol, great vid.
