  • Absolutely right. I always pause wait make eye contact and THEN. Speak. Connecting on human level is important because ion one wants to feel like they're being "told what to do" by a robotic drone who is going to be dispensing data and information. People need to feel that you have valuable insights that you can't wait to SHARE . It also put the audience member "in the place of the speaker" Ie. "oh! He's a regular guy, just like me!
