you don't get it. it's our female supremacist culture that says men are worth nothing. it's not being a man itself. in indigenous cultures, men are adored and respected, as are women, each for their own strengths. In our western culture though, it's a crime to be a man.
I think you can be the object of desire as a man gay or straight and you can experience femininity if you want to, within those. I don't think it is necessary to transition to experience these things even tho that is how it evolved for you. As a femme lesbian I need to feel and look feminine for myself and I want the desire of my wife, not men. It is a tricky space to inhabit.
Competition internally and/or externally to adore and/or be adored? I'm shifting in my chair uneasily. Steady.
For a "feminine male" it can be intoxicating to dress in a "feminine" (kinda conforming to stereotype-ish) manner, no doubt, but it simply brings to my mind the contrary and none too appealing image of a 'masculine female' wearing hir jockstrap as a hat and towel whipping my sorry ass.
For me, the feminine clothes aren't just about being desirable, they are an expression of love for yourself - as you are, after all, decorating your body. People often misinterpret [my] feminine presentation as sending a message of availability, when in fact its purely for my own pleasure and I want to be left alone.
- I'm a femme ftm, who often wears feminine womens clothes.
I see femme/butch dynamics as very much playing with this part of gender. Women embracing both roles of desiring/desiree, then fucking with it a little bit.
Hi! Enjoyed this video a lot. I think this is an important element of femininity, you've hit the nail on the head.
As society beleives women=feminine=women...
Being an object of desire is something that all women are expected to want. And it's assumed that men are doing the desiring. I think that's why people assume you like boys. Obviously you're presenting feminely to be desired by men, right? (sarcasm)
@AnarchoSyndicalistt thanks. These vids were all stream of consciousness stuff. I guess what I was getting at was a kind of femininity which is Autogynephyle, The desire of being desired.
