I really like this style of push hands.I would love to do push hands with a person doing this style.I train in Sydney's Belmore Park next to central railway station on sundays 9-12 cheers
Dear Mr. Sao. May you give me some tips on how to relax? I am practicing Taiji Quan as well and my sifu tells me that I'm usually too stiff and my movements are not yet smooth. I practice the Yang Long-Form from the school of Chang Dsu Yao.
Dear Friend, Push hands provides a unique form of extended human physical contact. It teaches you how to touch and be touched in a way that is neither sexual nor violent. It teaches you not only how to react to physical push, but also mental "pushes" in our daily lives.:-)
good, thank you

Why is that backward leg move and leaning forward, when you want to neutralize the lu? (for example at 1:20)

This is only the patterned push hands. We also have the free style push hands. The opponent need to react on time!

I learned how to do push hands a lot slower too. It is the only way to properly learn the listening skills from this practice IMHO. :)
