  • Ur awesome!!:D Thnks :)

  • Thanks

  • YOU SAVED MY LIFE X____X

  • thanks alot you save me from failig a test!

  • can y be negituve like -y=2x+1

  • THANKS! This helped alot because we are having an exam and my teacher was reviewing, I didn't understand it. But in the few minutes you explained it I understood. Thank you sooo much!

  • This helped me so much, it is unbeliveable!

  • How'd you get 2 for m?

  • Comment removed

  • thank you so much i have an exam tomorrow and this really helped!

  • Sorry, I have a lot of question...

What do I do if when I'm graphing the line and I can only fit on one point in the graph because it isn't big enough? Do you have to have 2 points besides the y intercept point?

And also, what does it mean when all it says is -x? By that I mean the equation is y= -x -3

  • Also, what if I have y=1/2x+2?

How do I graph that? Does it mean 1 is the rise and 2 is the run?

  • I need to graph the equation y=3x-4

So I started four under the line of course.

I know I need to go up three, would it be up three from the center or from the -4 point?

  • thank you so much you helped me with my homework and tests

  • my highschool math teacher couldn't even explain it this well

  • It blows my mind that my math teacher cant get me to understand something in a 45 minute period but a 5:31 video can. Thanks you.

  • After watching at least 5 other youtube videos on this subject, yours is the one that made it make sense! Thank you SO MUCH!!

  • Sir i have a question what if my y intercept has its fraction

    ex. y= 2x + 2/3

  • Thank you i'm going to do good on my math test 2mrw

  • pls use a negative slope..

  • ughh i hate math i cant do it haha

  • thanks for the help man

  • Am taking algebra 2 and I barely learned how to graph lol thanks bro

  • why cant i have met you earlier?

i wouldnt have failed my test

  • Hi could you possible do a video request for graphing this equation please:

    y-5=3(x-1)

  • what are the answers for these?

    y=x-4

    y=21x+2

    y=-3x+1

  • Im in math now

  • Thank you

  • DUDE! THX SOOO MUCH! I have a test tomorrow and i didn't understand this at all thank you soooooo much i get it now!

  • hello, i have a question tutor, how do you solve this equation? : y = 2/3x + 5 for x=1,2,3 ??????

  • @LittleKidMery25 just plug in the number you are given (you'll have to do this 3 times, because you have 3 numbers to try). Where every you see an x, replace it by 1 then solve. Do the same thing for 2, and 3.

  • @YourTutorOnline Well umm, i dont get it so much, but thank you.. Now I have a better understanding with What You Explained to me!

  • @bomberfun1 x is a coordinate, it will change as you trace the line.

  • @bomberfun1 then the y intercept is zero, at the origin.

  • Thats Thinking with Portals!

  • O M G this is so good! my teacher taught our class this entire method (and we barely understand it) in a week! but you taught me in 5 minutes! WOW! thanks : ) ^ ^

  • very good! very clear

  • Wish you were my teacher

  • You saved me man! :D

  • omg this helped alot! :D

  • you saveed me for my provincial exam, thank you <3

  • thank you so much, it really helped

  • Your very good man you should be a teacher my algebra teacher cant explain anything simple its always confusing. I learned a weeks lesson by watching your video thanks again

  • you don't have to whisper...LOL

otherwise this was awesome, so thank you. My homework won't get an F now. XD

  • thank you you're a genius i would've never known!!!!!!

  • Thank you so much! This is great! :)

  • I think you need to teach my Algebra teacher how it's done...please?

  • I love it

  • this 6 min video showed me how to do it , but my 8th grade teachers 1 1/2 hour lectures did not. thanks

  • Thank you! (^_^)

  • great video, you explained it in 5:00 Minutes, that my teacher could not explain it in 2 days

  • @joecaudill2001

is that teacher named Tan??? LoL curious

  • Wow, very helpful...Thank You

  • okay so say the slope is a negative si the line is going to go from left tor right down

  • omg dude thanks

  • Amazing....you made thing so much easier, now I just need to learn how to get things in slope-intercept form

  • tnx i have a perfect score in my homework!!!!!!! :)

  • thank you very much!

  • thanks!

I have a test in this today

    :D

    i didnt get it

    but now i do

  • The video was great! My daughter forgot her math book at school and this video saved her grade! It is very easy to understand... Thanks!!

  • Nice and simple.

    cool beans.

    xD

  • thank you sooo much!!!!! i needed soo much help on this stuff

  • VERY helpful man you dont even realize how much it helped me right now lol.. good video man.

  • This video makes so much sense thank you very much!! :)

  • I cant thank you enough :) Thanx

  • thats cool man im dying in my math class cuz of graphing u save me man

  • You just have to substitute. So if you use the video's formula:

    y=2x+3

Your x's will be whatever point you want to choose from teh x-axis. And you y's will be the solution.

    Example: y=2x+3

    You choose the x-cordinate 2.

    x value: 2

y value: 2(2)+3 so y=7 (you put the x into the formula)

    Co-ordinate (2,7)

(you can check that this is right, the graph in the video has that point)

  • @ x0Annax0x yeah youre right coz that is one of the coordinates of the line....and theres a lot more...

  • thank you!!!!!!!! i did not get this stuff AT ALL in school, and u helped me so much!!!!!!!!

  • omg! God bless u thnk u i rly needed help with my hw. im rating 5!

  • OHMAHGAWD THANK U!!!! i just got in algebra and my teacher's bad at teaching, (how the hell did she graduated anyway?) but thank u so much!!!! finally i can do my hw

  • I love you. Thank you so much.

  • just a question.. very good video explained a hell load to me my teacher decided to speak as fast as a teenage girl spreads gossip, so i had no idea what was happening. I was just wondering how you get the intercept of where two lines intercept. Because i think i have a problem which asks where do the two lines bblah and blah intercept, blah blah, please graph and show the point/line intercept. Please get back to me. Thanks.

  • Thanks so much for the video! Very easy to understand! My math final is tommorow and I had NO idea how to do slope! And since it's the end of the year my teacher took collected our math books before the final(SMART move ms. belzer what will we have to study from ) so, this was a lifesaver!

  • LIFE SAVER!!!

i was absent for this lesson, and with my friend's crappy notes, it helped a whole bunch! ty

  • thanks for the help!!!

  • thank you so much!

  • this is the best tutor video ever!!! explained so good that dumb people like me can understand! lol

  • I'm glad the video helped you out. You're not dumb, you might just need different methods for learning. Keep at it!

  • @YourTutorOnline ; clean explaination, better thn my teacher. nice!!!

  • I AM SO GONA PASS MY EXAM! YAY!

  • UR A LIFESAVER TYTYTY!!

  • thank youuuu. VERY helpful! :)

  • thank yoooou:]]]]]

  • thx for the post! :D

  • Awsome i was making the fractions so hard!! thanks!

  • 5-y=3/4x ?? i subtract 5 from both sides but then do i have to make the y positive?

  • You Saved My Quiz For Tommorow

  • saved me on my math test

  • you saved me on my algebra homework thanks!!!

  • That's why I do it. Thanks for letting me know you found the video helpful.

  • yayyy thanks :]

  • AGH! too confusing!!! what about if its like

    3x+4y=-12???

  • (Sorry NicnakKh2fan, I accidentally removed your comment)

NicnakKh2fan: subtract 3x from both sides.

Right, and then go just a bit further; divide both sides by 4:

y = (3/4)x - 3, and now it is a nice and simple slope intercept form.

    Thanks for contributing NicnakKh2fan!

  • @PrincessGirl16 than you solve for y than you will get a normal equation.

  • ty..^^

  • this is just what I was looking for, thank you:)

  • what hapenned when its like this 5x + y = 0

  • I think it would stay on the same line...

  • very helpful! thanks!;]
