yes Sakurabi was the composer of both Tales and BK but this dosn't remind me of Derras Kharlan really. It's got it's own style to it IMO

@Ike4321 The soundtrack of Baten Kaitos and the soundtrack of Golden Sun were both composed by the same person, so it's only natural that one would hear similarities.

oh man... such great memories... it was the best game i've ever played. then i sold my game cube :( don't ask me why i did this pls i don't know, i hate me for this :( but now, when i'm hearing this song, i feel like i can fly to the clouds, even 2 years ago since my last fight in this just beatyfull game... man i have to buy a wii just for this game and i swear i will do it. I so loved tales of symphonia.I never before thought that you could cry in a game.But when i for the first time played tales of symphonia my heart was full of emotions and i cried alot.Its the best game i ever played.But i like Baten kaitos too.sorry for my bad eng.Happy face.

This song is...I can't describe it. It's that good.

Motoi Sakuraba is certainly good at what he does. I don't think this game would have been as good as it was if someone else composed the music.

Everyone says the voice acting was bad,, but the only voice I didn't like was Xelha. Argh, sometimes I just wanted to strangle her with that annoying voice of hers. Nails on a chalkboard is a good comparision

@TrophyHunters79 Both games came out during the same year (2003 in Japan), but Tales of Symphonia was released some months before Baten Kaitos (in August while Baten Kaitos was in December).

Anyway like mike5449 already said, Motoi Sakuraba did the OST for Baten Kaitos, Tales of Symphonia and even Golden Sun if I'm not mistaken. That's why they sound kind of similar :)

Try the opening. This is the "Sweeping Orchestrated theme" as seen, well, in the opening-- it's also in Star Ocean 3 (Bird's Eye View, IIRC).
