Two major problems with the Republican/Freedoms Watch's argument...

1) Lowering the price of Gas/Oil cuts into the profits of the very people funding the Republican Presidential race (RNC)

2) The price of oil directly affects the value of the U.S. dollar (investments in oil futures etc) and thus the profits and capital gains of the funding sources of the Republican party.

Lets go back to killing Whales for oil....a good start would be sinking a harpoon in Karl Rove!!!!

She wasn't taken out of context - she said TWO when she meant THREE. Pay attention. She said it was TRIPLED under Bush - get it, THREE. The price was ~$1 before Bush, and now is over $3. Tripled. When King said you mean $3.50, she said, that's 6 cents less than what I just said, not realizing she had said TWO instead of THREE. Get it, yet?

It is obvious from her exchange with King and her claim that gas priced has tripled under Bush that Speaker Pelosi misspoke and meant to say $3.56. She was citing average gas prices, which even an out of touch person could read from the newspaper. This ad is a lie, and it's petty. Further, you are doing nothing more than point out that the Bush administration has been abject failure, no matter whose shoulders you'd rather place the blame on.

This ad actually points out that the price of gas has almost quadrupled, instead. Wow... now I feel even worse about the astronomical gas prices that we've endured during the Bush years.
