Thank you for offering a solution to the problem at hand. I'm just thankful no accounts were lost because of this. A friend of mine lost her account a long time ago in a similar incident.

Unfortunately, this wasn't the first time a Japanese company filed a copyright claim.  In 2009, Toei suspended users for uploading content they deemed violated their copyrights, including AMVs, the most noteworthy being TeamFourstar. Unfortunately it's hard to break the language barrier and explain memes.

I was having the same problem with the Geddan videos on my alt just recently. Since I didn't know who/what Victor is, I just used the dispute form, and in a week or so, I got the audio back, no re-uploading required. :/ Does this mean everyone else's is fixed now?

From Wikipedia. Only found out after my own video had the audio muted. It's very curious to see this going down, considering how popular this is. In regards to your "solution"...quite frankly, you're doing it wrong. This doesn't help the situation, but just make the attempts to stifle the populace worse. :(
