I suppose it doesn't matter, since you've cleared it and I haven't, but you can block his jump attack and take no damage. You can basically block anything except two moves without taking damage. The backdash move, specifically after the initial thrust, and his attack where he comes from beneath you. Incidentally, I'm jealous that he didn't do that move ONCE on you. Ugh, I'm gonna go try again.
