A beautiful song, and fond memories for me when Blessed John Paul II visited ireland in 1979, where I was present at his visit to Galway. Since then I have visited Krakow in Poland and followed his footsteps, from the house where he lived, to where he greeted the Polish people, to the church where he was a priest... to a visit to Rome coinciding with his beatification at St. Peters Square May 2011.

I remember when Dana sang this song for the Pope when he visited New Orleans. It was a very moving portion of the service in the Super Dome. Thank you for posting this so I could hear it again.

'79 TOTUS TUUS: Pope John Paul II came to Ireland in September of that year. DANA and Damien Scallon wrote this soon after. And soon after that it was top of the charts. So began her Catholic music career. She now had two markets to cater for!
