Rena's music sound so sad. I guess she lost her mom and luckily was adopted by Westa in the woods, and she took her home. At least Rena found a record of her mom and viewed the truth.

Huge PS1 RPG fan you say? Ever heard of Xenogears then? Well, this is on par with that one. That is if you manage to nab all the side stories that the final bosses possess. :D

I'm not a big RPG fan... Actually, I never play RPG games. I never got into any of the Final Fantasy games either. But Star Ocean was the only RPG that I got hooked to. The story line was simple, but the characters I loved so much. I like how there was romance in the story, the graphics were beautiful, and the music truly amazing. If you liked this game, try Tales of Phantasia for the SNES. :)

The VAs are much better in Second Evolution (the PSP version that changed almost nothing)... Precis is hilarious with her little lisp, as is the one added character, Claude doesn't sound so "off", Ernest's pretty fun, Opera's very well-done, Celine has just the right touch of high-class, Leon sounds twice his age... and Noel is pronounced the same way as Noelle, that is, two syllables instead of one. Even some of the Wise Men have unlockable voice clips (the top four do).

Interesting to hear that... Precis' voice was brutal though I like her as a character....I thought the others were mostly acceptable.

Energy Arrow wasn't so bad, I heard much worse voice acting. I liked the Energy Arrow call out ;)

I never played that remake (I have seen a couple vids of it here), maybe someday.

Well it was on two discs of two fully different worlds. I'd say it was 60 hours.

The PSP remake is wonderful may I say for the actual redubbing, no more horrendous voice acting!

At least, it's somewhat better anyway.

It's a pretty good series just on the music alone. In this video I imagine he had trouble choosing what songs to include. The music in the first village is the redefinition of epic!
