@TheGhillieMan95 you earn points for passing or doing well in each task, if you have enough points to pass the guidelines at the end your in, people who havent have failed
@nylonTS why have you watched every one of these vids and then slagged off the British Government on EVERY ONE of these vids.
OK we get the message, soldiers stupid, government bad, veterans living on the street. I know a lot of ex forces guys and they're all doing well for themselves.
@land4x4ever You assume very wrongly I was a solider and an officer to boot
I look back at my service and joined for all the right reasons to serve my country but when I left I went to work for a forces charity and i see the results every day of being a Regular Solider
Men liveing in cardboard boxs on the streets I dont point the finger at the Soilder far from it I point it at all goverments
Just look at the deals our US buddys get free flights to vets even there reserve have pensions
QUESTION - during your training in the parachute regt are there any excorsises which allow u to develop the ability 2 conquer your fear of heights?? i.e is there a build up to this piece of apparatus or are u expected 2 just prove it on the trainasium during p company??
The Major is a fucking wanker and the NCO's are a load of bullies. Fair enough to beast them on the course but to take the piss out of the bloke when he was kicked off...tossers.
@Noid111 Well this was filmed in the good old days before the PC brigade thought it necessary to wrap everyone in cotton wool to save them from being offended. Sounds like you're said brigade of the highest order!
Seeing that you're Canadian, you can join the Parachute Regiment and try out for P Company if you wanted to. I just thought I'd let you know in case you're interested.
One thing I like about how the Brits do this stuff is that at the end you get a nice word of encouragement if you don't suck. Just a nice "Good show" does wonders. In USMC Boot all you get is negative reinforcement. If you do well (or even the best in the platoon) you don't hear a single word of encouragement. It's just a big constant mind-fuck.
@LCPStud Good comment my man, I take it you are USMC, I did a bit of time with them on an exchange from the UK, a fukin good bunch of lads, I did find it weird how how they address each other by rank all the time, even SSgt to Sgt. H
USMC? christ even a british army engineer has a longer basic army training than the usmc. People always say "yea but they continue training in your unit etc." ....well obviously....every army/unit/regiment does continuous training....
I missed nothing mate - you complimented the British army....kind of. Cheers that makes up for America dragging us into and illegal war we will never win...
Don't blame us, the UK had a choice. If you need to feel bitter about it, go piss up Tony Blair's legs for being such a pussy, not up mine for merely being a yank. I didn't want either war myself.
my dad was saying that the slr had a real kick and that the sa80 was like a toy. not that means anything cos the slr had a bigger bullet but was more light and the sa80 was more heavey and fired a smaller bullet.
its actually safer without gloves lol, means theres only so many times you can hit someone in the head before you seriously damage your hands. Gloves let you keep going :P
@hessy11 - to be fair, the gloves make it more dangerous in a sense, as the striker is able to throw stronger punches without fear of damaging their hands. Gloves might reduce the severity of cuts to the victim's face, but they certainly won't protect from concussion or whiplash...
what this point system that they keep talking about?

They let their rank and uniform go to their heads. You'd think they'd be humble after what they go through, but ego always prevails in the end.
