While I disagree with what on the whole appears to be a slap in the face of democracy (Pelosi reffusing to allow a vote) I'm not sure drilling would be more than a temporary fix. I believe (ie my opinion) we need an alternative to it that doesn't starve half the world in its application and also immediate aggressive control of the prospectors in the industry who are responsible (to suit their own ends) for jacking up prices at every opportunity. However for now She's a fairly poor Liberal!

We have done that under Clinton and Bush and all it has done is give us a small spike in lowering prices then we are right back were we started.
