Incredible. I don't know how the guy does it. He's got a great group of people in that band, not taking anything away from them, but he is the head viking on that ship.
I don't blame Anton for continually pushing his music into new terrain, but you gotta admit, everything the guy does/has done is fucking brilliant, and there's no reason why I can't cherish the older albums. Super Sonic is like, I dunno, it's like there was this kind of music, this sort of, sound of reaching nirvana, and he captured it.
This just shows that Anton really wasn't the horrible person during this Dig! period that the final film portrays him as. He was an incredible songwriter, and I think that last thing sums it up so well. He just pushed his band. He wasn't being an asshole, there was a final product he and the rest of the band were reaching for, and because of Anton taking charge they were able to do an amazing record in an amazingly short period of time.
Watching Anton record is really inspiring, I think it should have been featured more prominently in DiG!. Especially this album; Give it Back is so insanely good.
My favorite part is when he's writing the lyrics to "Super-Sonic". That song is unbelievable.
I agree with it being in DIG! It shows another side of Anton, how he gets the band to create such fantastic music with his passion for the stuff, not through bullying.
ALthough it is my fave doco seeing bits like this balance it out a bit.

They don't only record "Not if you were the last Dandy." They also record other songs. "Give It Back" is the album where they are all on.

When he was with the BJM he really looked like a hippie...it's pity that he did'nt keep it with the Black Rebel Motorcycle Club...
