  • Humble Pie ... one of the best bands in rock n roll history

  • the best singer ever

  • what a wonderful interivew from a wonderful man thank you

  • It`s an excellent video, Steve never knew just how special he was,, It did bring a tear to my eye, when it was mentioned he was a new Daddy and he did look so proud and happy R.I.P. Steve x

  • i have no doubt Steve would have gone on to have a rennaisance if he'd lived longer - the 90's and the britpop bands would have championed him and he would have had all the recognition that he deserved.

a genuine man and a genuine talent.

  • This interview must by now rank as a piece of UK music heritage. Steve is up there with Feelgood's Lee Brilleaux as one of the true greats.

  • great interview, such a talent and Im so glad that I was raised on a diet of Small Faces which Im gonna pass on to my kids one day.

They dont make em like that anymore, God Bless Steve xxx

  • Steve will live forever!

  • Steve is brilliant! so sad he's gone, Ogden's top albumn ever.

  • Fantastic by why a great singer also a smoker. Aaahahh

  • The truth is that little Stevie really did burn that school down.

Great interview. There aren't too many in depth ones out there.

  • he is so freakin cute even here, his charisma is so endearing and his humor is adorable. God Bless ya Mate Love you sooo much!!

  • What a bloke! Still missed after all these years x

  • Wish 2hear more! He so humble; awesome, thanx

  • The white male Areatha Franklin!!! I saw Humble Pie at least 10 times & they always kicked ASS!!! RIP Stevie, I'm playing " Live At The Fillmore" right now!!! ROLL IT BABY!!!

  • he could really sing for a white boy....

  • Great interview. I only known Marriott from Humble Pie, but what a performer he was. He OWNED that stage. After reading all about him on Wikpidia, & looking up all his works, it's such a shame he never got the fame & money he deserved, but for him, I don't think it was ever about the fame or the money. The guy was just PURE GOLD & a rare talent. RIP

  • Is that a cigarette in his hand?Oh gosh, this vid needs a flag then.Oh, very dissapointing.

  • It is sobering to think how quickly great talent is forgotten by the media circus. When a few more of us have popped our clogs there won't be many around who remember what a genius this guy was and what he gave to us.

  • @crowebroke what a sad thought

  • charismatic as fuck..total star..great interview

  • I don't know how to put into words how much I LOVE him - what a talent!!!!!!! Young people need to know about people like Steve and know what true music and talent is about.

  • @Goonerette89 you and me both! as far as your first sentence

  • why are all the good bands old?

  • @snookerronnie197 Because they are from The Golden Age of Rock Music the1960's-1970's.All the greatest bands where around at that time. There have been great band from before that time and since, but this period produced the greatest amount of enduring great bands.

  • one of the greatest and most influential singers with a great voice, and a tragic story

  • yep, he didnt do it for fun. he didnt want the chicks, the drugs, the parties. he wanted to be the new bach. what a great man!

  • spinal tap is inspired mostly in humble pie. the name sounds similar, their origins, the hard rock sound and the "subtle" lyrics, its all very similar

  • he was full of rocking Energy

I'm very happy, that I saw him live and had spoken with him

    r.i.p. Steve

  • What a great guy. He didn't want to be a rock star, just a musician.

  • Imagine if Keith Moon could have joined SM and PF ... that would be a supergroup! Glad to see Stevie lives on. He was a true great ... unique!

  • Wow, this was a good interview. Seems likes a real down to earth guy. R I P Steve.

  • Hmm, I don't think he realized just how many people he influenced. what a great guy.

  • Steve Marriott - great musician and leader of a great band - The Small Faces

RIP Steve - you are missed

  • I grew up with his songs.

    Total class !!

I will never ever forget him.

  • his school burnt down and he got the blame....the Irony.....just how i think.

  • I can't believe how underated and overlooked Steve Marriott is. If for one second everyone just took their eye off the mainstream and had a look at some of this guys work, maybe people would start making decade lasting music again.

Say no more. Marriott had one of the best vocal talents of the 20th century.

  • I couldn't have said it better, 123jhouse!

  • the real deal, 100% authentic

  • What a great man, sorely missed

  • One of the last vocalists who could really sing. 78 in the shade is a great example of his work, along with the early original work.

    The True Mods....

  • @demonsbutterfly Rod Stewart lowered the quality of the Faces

  • The man is a legend but not properly remembered

  • What a man ...fantastic ,,,,i could listen to him speak nearly as much as i could him sing ...bloody shame how he died , R.I.P,LEGEND!

  • @431972 How and when did Steve die ???

  • @Redshift313 He fell asleep after drinking a bottle of Brandy in the old farmhouse, he lived in, his cigarette set fire to the armchair he fell asleep in.. Steve and fire!!!!!!

  • A very distinctive singer in a style of music called Rock n Roll.

  • diamond geezer

  • England's finest male voice!!!

Best female voice had to be Sandy Denny.

This is a really good interview.

  • thanks for posting this video.Marriott is as real as it gets.

  • god bless your soul Stevie

up there with any great vocalists of your time, if not the best

    RIP

  • Well, thank-you very much for posting this.

I was wondering...trying to imagine..what kind of a guy Steve Marriott might have been. This interview gives me a pretty good idea.

    Thanks again.

  • well, Steve, I think it's safe to say there were a few youngsters out there who got something off of it.

  • Featuring an interview of this magnificence can only inspire a one-word comment: BRILLIANT!

  • The great Steve Marriott certainly was a good interviewee...he could talk ten to the dozen. Not that much interview footage around with him in his prime, but this is excellent.

  • This Babyhowdy does us all a great service with the material she finds and posts. She's a reall YouTube legend, man. Agree. Great interview.
