  • @ChadSextoid1 Get a girlfriend?

  • @Supermassively so it's wrong for males to be curious about the lack of YOUR FACE in your videos? what if i'm asking the same questions and i just so happen to have a girlfriend?

  • Last time i was out to sleeping bears the biting flies were insaine i think the repellent was like crack to them. I have been telling the wifey to watch your videos about concealed carry for pointers being she wants her cpl.

  • awesome music

  • I live in Western Michigan and spent some time with my friends last summer at a private cabin on the dunes right next to a lighthouse. Great memories!

  • I grew up on the shores of lake Michigan just a little south of Sleeping Bear. Imagine climbing those hills in the winter covered in snow, and going back down on a toboggan!! Good times, good video!

  • thats michigan. not cali.

  • YIKES! Talk about crabbin' it up! XD

  • On one of my army courses I fell asleep in the sun on a beach in Ontario and burned my legs so bad I could barely walk. It was literally a week of hell, marching around and doing PT on my fried legs..but man it was fun peeling it all off at the end.

  • Thanks for turning me on to Daisy May.

  • I use Lidocane to stop sunburn pain. It's really works!

  • sunburns and itchy shirts. not a good mix.

  • +1 for being black I suppose. We shrug off UVA & UVB rays like it's our ancestral super power. I like this song. It was my first time hearing it & it made me happy. I suppose the sunny dune pictures helped.I almost even smiled. Really, it was a very close thing.

  • Ur so talented!

  • Place looks nice XD, did u take sprinklez

  • YEEEEOUCH! The sunburn looks bad. ;)c

  • Cool place thank's for the pic's

  • 2nd degree burns are sooooooooo sexy.

  • If I was your boyfriend I would have gotten you some sunscreen even if it meant selling my self! :)

  • Love Daisy May!

  • love the dunes....only 4 hours away..

  • xD i went here once.. and two of my cousins walked all the way down to the lake and back up. i could see them crawling up the slope with their dog jumping around with them xD took them forever and it was really funny

  • I've wanted to to good to Sleeping Bear Dunes for years. I need to make it up there.

  • Ouch. Hope you have a good tan now.

  • Voted the most beautiful place in America!!

  • Wow I never would have guessed that the midwest could have something that nice. I guess I am spoiled out on the west coast.

  • Lake Michigan is lovely. I want to visit all of the Great Lakes. I've only ever been to Lake Michigan and I've lived in Michigan for 16 years! That's a shame, I know.

  • I LOVE SBD! I'm about to go up north next week too. I wish I could move to Leelanau Peninsula/Traverse City area. Its so beautiful up there.

  • I can't believe you are into guns ,and metal detecting. Two of my fav things !

  • Always have a Aloe plant in the yard.

  • Lots of Aloe vera :~)

  • I forgot my sunblock, too. Went shooting in the mountains yesterday and am paying for it now. -_-

  • Temp in South Louisiana was 95* yesterday. Heat index was about 106* Humidity was around 75%. Downright disgusting! I'll take sunburn in 70* weather any day. Maybe I should just move North.

  • I visited there once, after crossing from Green Bay on the Badger.

  • MI does have some nice beaches. What camera do you have by the way?

  • let me rub lotion on you its good for you sunburn:)

  • Thats bad tan

  • OUCH!

    That looks painful!

Stay cool and away from the sun for a while.

  • Great video! I have to say I was so relaxed after watching this I went and made myself a margarita and watched it again. Thanks for sharing.

  • Are you from Michigan? Rockford Mi here, just north of Grand Rapids

  • Looks nice...miss the beach. Living on the west side of GA after being 3 miles from water on LI for all those years. I guess SB Dunes is in California, right?

  • @NYGun1

    Michigan :-)

  • finally been waiting for a new video AWESOME job. looks like a very neat place. lol sorry about the sunburn!!

  • Great video... such beautiful views I will have to put Sleeping Bear Dunes on my list of places to visit. Sorry you got burned... hope you're feeling better soon!

  • yup I think I will go hiking this weekend. thanks. tie for your BF to pay up have him put some aloe on that burn. hope you get well soon.

  • i love Michigan hope you heal up quick.

  • This an awesome video. Thanks for sharing. I think I'll go hiking .lol

  • Wow, great pictures. Brings back a lot of memories, I spent every summer growing up at those dunes. Thinking of heading that way for the fourth.

  • My 14 year old daughter got sunburned this past weekend on a California beach. She's finally starting to feel better.

    I hope you are too.

Another well done video. Thanks for sharing.

  • What a way to start the day. A cup of joe, our amazing country side, and great music. Wish I was there. It was 110 degrees here yesterday and today will be better...108! But its a dry heat...hehe! By the way, you have a great talent in documenting your travels. Love them!!!

  • I was also wonder if/what you were carrying and how. Great job as always.

  • Meeeechigan...home sweet home :-)..I live in Ypsilanti and have made the same trip to the dunes...even rode "Mac Woods Dune Rides", my four kids loved it!

  • Now, that's a lot of sand. Nice vid

  • astaxanthin and clothing would be much better option than poisonous sunscreen. Astaxanthin is the best when it comes to preventing and healing sunburns

  • I feel the pain. Just getting over a nasty case of sun poisoning myself. I never got burned before but it finally got me. Oh well the blisters healed and I still have the memories.

  • Looks really nice. Love the "pale tank top" look, ouch big time! July 5th doin a little road trip camping. Just gotta decide where to go. North or south

  • Nice vacation, thanks for sharing. Were you guys carrying?

  • Beautiful place!!. I liked the song very much

  • Beautiful scenery, but I had to mute whatever that awful noise was in the background... :P

  • At least it wasnt the Whole Body , like us Stupid Guys

  • Adding sunscreen to bug out bag a.s.a.p. :-)

  • I don't think I've been there since the late 80's Always had alot of fun there though. Ouch! on the sunburn is about right. cherry red.

  • fun upbeat slideshow

  • Nice, I was just there a week ago. Another cool place is Fishermans Island State park. Its up by Charlevoix mabye about a 2-hour drive north from there. No sand, but very scenic. The beaches are pure tumbled stones. Lots of Petoskey stones.

  • When I first moved to Florida, I got careless and went to the beach for just a couple of hours. My feet and ankles were burned so bad, I passed out when I tried to walk on them the next morning. Gotta be careful. BTY-Vinigar will take a lot of the sting out, but you end up smelling like the french fry girl at the county fair. Thanx for sharing.~Take care.

  • Nice and awesome place!!!

  • Wow that place is beautiful. I didn't know those types of land formations existed in North America. It looks like a small chunk of the Sahara seashore got dropped by one of the great lakes (from the Google satellite view). I guess it must get covered by snow in the winter?

  • AAAHHH you where in Michigan we go every year to the dunes and to Mackinac Island

    Schmoo

  • Seeing the dunes again brings back some good memories.... Makes me wish I was a kid again....but then again, maybe not....LOL

  • Very nice!

  • Ouch! Sorry to see you got burned but hope you are healing up ok!

  • @MrJimbofox

It will, I'm sure. :) It hurts but is so miniscule compared to other things people have to deal with. I just hope everyone remembers to wear their sunblock this summer!

  • Very nice photography and music. Brightened my morning, thanks.

  • @carmanvw

awesome, thank you for watching. and have a great day!

  • Wow, 70 degrees sounds amazing! Where I'm at it has already broken 120...

  • @ShadowsOfMisfortune

that sounds horrible. Where are you at?

  • @faliaphotography

I'm in California. Palm Springs area

  • Did you take any guns with you?? Did you go shooting??

  • @freedom4kaz

guns - always, shooting - nope

  • I Have not been to the dunes since I was a kid, really is an amazing place. Man I need to get up north!!!

Does this artist have a web page? Really dig her voice.

  • @EchoMalinois1

She probably does. Her name is Daisy May. Her music with Seth Bernard is great too (they often sing together). She is a Michigan singer, but she is popular enough that you can buy her music from Amazon (dot) com

  • Beautiful! Wish I had places like that to bring my mountain bike. I would tear that place up!

  • Do any of you military peeps remember being told that if you failed to wear sunscreen and got a severe sunburn you could charged with destruction of government property?

  • What is that song...it sounds a lot like Stacey Earle.

  • @Iam1uglyguy oooops I just read through a buch of the comments and I saw who you said it was....WOW she sounds a LOT like Stacey Earle (Steve Earles sister) very very similar!

  • @Iam1uglyguy

"Dust" by Daisy May. I'll have to check out Stacey Earle! :-)

  • My wife and I were there last fall at that same place; It was a little chilly and very windy! We did get a little "dust", everywhere. Nice song choice. That's again for sharing with us all, Take care. Tim.

  • @MrGraygrizz

yay glad you thought the song fit. I was debating. Sand isn't dust but it's close....

  • looks like fun, have a good week.

  • I like that song. Never heard it

  • @tom10311989

I love Daisy May - she is a Michigan native/local artist

  • Woo Michigan! You have a wicked tanline girl, can't feel too good! :p

  • wow- serious tan....looks like it was worth it though. Nice pics.

  • @Benalr

more like serious burn. :( Definitely worth it though

  • Looks like a great place!! I'm sure you enjoyed it even w/ the sunburn. I have to really watch out for the sun, I don't tan.... I burst into flames! LOL Thanks for sharing

  • @GunznGear

lol. Yup, sunscreen and cover-ups! Thanks for watching :)

  • Ahhh the life some of us have

  • It's hard to imagine that you would burn up there in Michigan since you are so far away from the sun! Down here in Texas, it seems like the sun is SO close - which explains our 100 degree days. Man it's hot down here!

  • @mikehoy1

I would not want to be in TX right now....Ugh. It really was a nice breezy day at the dunes, right around 70 degrees, or maybe 72.. A truly perfect day! I didn't realize I was burnt until it was too late.

  • @mikehoy1 yall got much humidity? up here in South Carolina we had temp of well over 100 and 100% humidity.

  • I love riding my atv at the dunes, great vaca choice!

  • Time for a bath in some aloe! haha I always love going to the dunes. . . . minus annoying people, rocks, garbage, and hot sand. Great views! Thanks for sharing!

  • @bigbubba5037

    lol

  • Great slideshow!! Thanks for sharing!

  • ouch is right!!!

  • Great job showing off the beauty that is in our backyard! Been there more times than I can remember. Did you get a chance to visit Pyramid Point? Glenn Haven? How about Leeland? The back side of Leelanau county is paradise. In fact, all of northtwest michigan is a great place to live. Keep posting your great videos!

  • @dpbigguy

Yes, Yes, and Yes!! Pyramid Point is such a great little hike for a beautiful lookout to the Manitou Islands ~ and gotta love Leland! aka "Fishtown" :-) All the unique little shops near the docks. There is such a great feeling in the entire area. Thanks for watching

  • looks like a great place to go plinkin' ! ( but i'm guessin' that's not allowed)

  • Use some Ocean Potion on that sunburn. You can also use some Aloe Vera straight from the leaf. It's a little messy but works great. Cut a leaf off the plant and peal back the green outter cover to reveal the meat of the leaf. The texture is gelly like and kind of clear. Use the slimmy liquid from the leaf. Let me know if that helped!

  • @gunner5050

My last aloe plant died... now is the perfect time to get myself a new one :-)

  • ouch

  • I think I might have flagged your vid as inappropriate by mistake using my iPhone 4 YouTube app. I did not mean to!

  • @GeorgiaPrepper

    no worries!

  • Fried!! I've been burned a few times myself but now I always remember the sunscreen

  • Nice...thx..P

  • @homegrownsurvivor

    yup. I've got two bottles

  • Beautiful landscape. Thanks for sharing Falia!

  • @edgedweapon88

It really was amazing! and tiring

  • Who cuts your hair? It's fantastic!

  • @foreignpress1

Usually myself, for the past several years (I pull it into a ponytail on top of my head and just snip it off). But last time I actually went to a beauty college and let students cut it for cheap - Basically like letting them practice on me.

  • aloe stocks are going up.

  • Do you have the van running again?

  • @OrganGrindersSwing

    nope. Currently driving my car

  • very pertie!!

  • OUCH that must burn

  • @jseal68

    very much

  • my sweat is like bacon grease and it sizzles me into a tan.

  • @derekgrebner87

    yuck

  • @faliaphotography thats a funny way of me saying that i never get sunburnt.

  • @derekgrebner87

I know but sweat and bacon grease are not very nice mental images for me

  • @derekgrebner87 LMFAO What the hell Tex??? LMAO LMAO LMAO LMAO!!! DUDE I STARTED CRYING WHEN I READ THIS!!!

  • No shoulder holsters for a bit....nice tunes also! Avett Brothers fan? They are from my home state. Tim O'brien also good tunes I'm hooked on ...great vid. Keep it up!

  • @matthew5302321

Song is "Dust" by Daisy May - an artist local to the Sleeping Bear Dunes area :-) Not sure about the Avett Brothers or Tim O'Brien but will check them out, Thx

  • That is so kewl, My mothers side of the family are from up there in the Glen Arbor, Acme, and Empire area's. I used to spend summers up there.
