IMPOSSIBLE!! Even If it does form a black hole, it will be microscopic and if the black hole is microscopic, then it will not have enough force to expand and will disappear in a fraction of a second.
Interesting thought that our total destruction could come from scientific investigation. Kind of like the adage: "curiosity killed the cat".
Another major difference between this end of humanity scenario is that in virtually every other scenario some amount of life survives even if it's non-human, for example some basic insects are nearly totally immune to extreme radiation. Or when the last big asteroid hit, it eliminated dinosaurs, however rodents survived the winter. With this, not so.
@yogdog2001 Possibly a rock with those bacteria that stay alive in space for a long time gets flung into space(unstable forces cus black hole) (actually black holes are not like what you see in movies so the black hole doesn't keep getting bigger to eat the whole solar system) the rock lands so hard onto mars that it creates a deep crater where there is water under the surface and these bacteria survive the radiation, consume the water, survive the heat. Then they eventually teraform the planet.
"I am sorry to say that there is too much point to the wisecrack that life is extinct on other planets because their scientists were more advanced than ours."
No, I mean, it DOES evaporate after miliseconds, I got no master in physics, but am doing my batchelor on science, after which I will make my master in physics :P
No, you're wrong: Microblack holes, if it's very stable evaporates in a milisecond, due to hawking radiation. They did research that, don't ask me for links tho, no idea where it could possibly be verified in internet :P
The only real threat would be Stranglets, and that wouldn't effect us for hundreds, maybe thousands of years.

there wouldn't be enough power in the black hole it would die out after minutes great simulation though :D

after minutes? No, after miliseconds.

omg how sad is this how picky can you get and have you got your masters in physics? no so neither of us can say for sure ok? :D

ok but as i said no one knows really untill it is further researched and doesn't just stop working lol

Helge129 2 years ago
how could they have researched this they have not had the facilities as the collider went down
huwjun 2 years ago
Because they already tested again, and also got some results on the first run. The collider went down a few seconds after the first collisions
Helge129 2 years ago
well that's a lie it's not back up and running yet. and now they did not get any results from the collision they even said on every news channel

right.

Oh dear, that's a bit depressing. At least we wouldn't know much about it.
