@TimTheThing1 Its not flipnote studio its something to write down notes like if your playing a 3DS game you press the home button and you can either write something down like a cheat code or go to the internet, or go to the smiley face, then when your done press home button again and you will continue your game were you left off

If I analyzed the top part of the 3DS Home Menu properly...

There is a brightness button, one for apparent touch screen calibration (and maybe 3D tests?), and of course that activity log, StressPass features, the 3DS Browser and.... PictoChat.

@kongchho The 3ds is going to be mostly games man. if you want a multi purpose device, get an ipod touch 4g like I have. It is excellent for many things. Gaming just doesn't happen to work perfectly because of the lack of physical controls. Best solution: Get both. XD

@tdivv41 id say its not "perfect" but like any Nintendo device its certainly going to have good build and quality- The tech isnt new ( just updated) so its not like they are experimenting on untouched grounds...in fact they've been trying to get this kind of device to launch since Virtual boy.GBA and the gamecube (look it up, its a fact) but anyway if you re worried just wait like a half year before getting one and see how everyone likes it....

The 3DS will only have a 1300 mAh battery. Now I'm not sure about size and heat, but there are much more powerful batteries out there that don't cost a lot more...  If it had 5000 mAh you might be talking 15+ hours of gameplay without a charge.

It's launch titles is what is keeping me from buying a 3DS at launch. It's unpleasant to hear that the 3DS only has an average battery life of 3-5 hours, which means more charges, which mean more wear and tear on the battery. Thank you sluggish battery advancements.

@LyokoWarrier1fan Well, not quite. it's possible to make things like that 3d without it being 3d before. heck most 3d movies weren't shot with 3d cameras these days. it's more or less an automated filter based rendering. it's a LOT easier to do when the imagery is being rendered at the same time, like a DS game.

If it is the 3DS Menu, then I hope they update it with the animated icons like the DSi (and Wii).
