Hello, how long after your surgery did it take for the halo and starbursts to disappear from your night vision? As I had my operation over 8 months ago and they still haven't completely disappeared from my night vision yet.
@kshaw81 Hello, I never got halos or starbursts so I dont know much about them Im afraid. Maybe you should ask the people who did your eyes about it? They might be able to look at your eyes and tell you whats going on and how long it will last.
Was really nervous about having my eyes done but really found your videos helpful and have put me at ease a bit. I've had my consultaion but they want me to go back in another 3 months for another eye test before they book me in for the procedure so hopefully it will be around christmas when i get mine done!
@Emmielou122 Really excited about it plus it gives me a bit extra time to save up the money!
Omg I'm so jealous! I am only just beginning to be able to draw "real life" pictures as I got too used to drawing anime which makes it very difficult! Would love to be able to draw like that!!
Hi thanks for the video, very helpful. My one question is can you rub your eyes like you could before the surgery? Like first thing in the morning etc, i would be afraid of dislodging the flap! And you got no dry eyes at all?
@dltvofmr Hey, thanks for your comment :) I was afraid to rub my eyes for a month or two then I just went for it and they were fine. lol. Probably best to check with the optician person. completely normal eyes, i always forget I had it done!
@Emmielou122 sorry if this was answered before, but what is your vision now in terms of diopters, I remember you mentioning it was -2.5 and 01.75 in your eyes prior to lasik, but post lasik what is it? You said 20/20 in one eye and better than that in the other, but in terms of diopters is it, 0 0 or like -.5 -.25 or something like that, thanks.
Hey. Thanks for this video - it was very helpful. I went to Derby for a consultation the other week and I'm just trying to decide if I should have it done. I wear contact lenses at the moment, but my prescription is a lot worse than yours was (-7). Were you not allowed to wear any makeup at all afterwards? or only eye makeup? I think I might scare people at work if i go in with no makeup or deodorant :)
@darthjoh Hi, I'm glad you found my video helpful. Derby is where had my consultation too. I don't think you can wear any makeup, deoderant or perfume... plus the drops they give you leave gunk around your eyes and your eyes will generally look red and scary. So I suggest a week holiday or accepting looking scary (I opted for the week off) let me now how you get on! :)
Dear Emmielou122 i find your videos very useful. Thanks for uploading. I have about same prescription as yours and am having my tratment next month. I am a bit relieved after watching the video and looking forward to it. Please keep us updated
i found your video really imformative but i wondered did they tell you how long the laser eye surgrey results last for? isit forever or will you need glasses in the future?
also when could you wear eye make up again after the surgrey?
The effects of laser eye surgury should last until old age sets in and vision starts to naturally deteriorate. I think I was wearing make up again about 3-4 weeks after. You also cant use hair products or deodarant! Plus your eyes look abit nasty for a few weeks :S I had my consultations with optical express in Derby and then the procedure was done in Birmingham.
Cool series and you explain everything really well. Just wondering, i've seen lots of anti-lasik videos and stuff, there seems to be a lot of complaints about halos and starbursts, other light abnormalities, & problems with dry eyes when the person never had dry eyes before.. have u experienced anything like this? I cant wear contacts because I think my eyes are just too dry, almost feels as though they're drying up in my eyes, h8 it..Looks like your procedure was perfectly successful, congrats:)
@cyberdems I've had no problems at all, there was quite bad visable bruising on the whites of my eyes for about a month which looked scary, but that is all :)
