MAN, we are so much alike...i ahvent been in the PHilippines for like 4 years, i love sinigang, i lived in many different places because my parents divorced too!!! but i speak fluent tagalog it's ok if u can't really speak tagalog but as long as you can understand it...you will be able to know if people are saying bad things to you in tagalog lol joke...i doubt they'll say bad things about you though....u seem nice
