i heard that some cats like getting spanked, so I was wondering if you ever done it to rachel before. when she meows she sounds like she's saying meow and owww together, hence my interpretation of her sound "Eaooo" haha
@dzang96 haha... well, she doesn't seem to mind negative attention, but I don't think she'd like getting spanked.. unless it was a soft spank. She doesn't seem to mind when I yell at her though. I think sometimes she just wants attention, even if it's negative.

is she purebred bombay? I never seen a bombay that has the same face shape as Rachel's. The ones I've seen have a longer snout and resembles a mini panther.
wow, yes she is very talkative. My family adopted a 5 yr. old male Bombay and he is very quiet. He does the same thing, greet us after being away, but he doesn't talk nearly as much. They are very intelligent cats though. I think she just wants to be pet or tell you about her day.
Ive got a male Bombay. He actually extremely quite. He's about 7yrs old now and just started talking (in that same broken voice). Very smart and super soft fur.
@TheTactical6string Well I'm guessing he just discovered a hidden talent! haha.. My cat has soft fur also. Will be interesting to see if he keeps talking. :)

@elementasrat i adopted jess from the local shelter when he was a kitten. there are two types of bombay cats, american and british. there is a big difference between the two. jess is the british breed. it would appear that the american breed is the pure bred that you would get from a breeder. if you check out mybombay.com it will tell you the differences between the two breeds.
thats so funny. our cat jester is also a Bombay and does the exact same things. soon as we walk in the door there he is. i usually sit down so he can sit on me, all 16 lbs, and then pet him and kiss him endlessly. i think they just miss us so much when were not home. jester is always on me. he sleeps on me @ night! but i don't mind. i love him so much. he always comes first.

I think I know why she is like this...she may be in heat.
My persian was like that before she was spayed.
