Yakut has the same meaning in Turkey's Turkish which is Yaka. And Yakut/Yaka means edge of the land.

@idcs5000 Its not an idea. Since we speak the same language but little differences like the "S" in Sakha accent written "Y" in Oghuz accent that is Sakha is Yakha. Yakha is Yaka in todays Turkish.

Yakut or Sakha means a Border Area in Mongolian. Just like Ukraine in Russian. I noticed lots of similarities between us Yakuts, Buriats, Tuvans and Mongolians. We share words, cultures (nomadic), and religion (shamanism). I believe that Sakha people are the bridge between Mongolians and Native Americans.

Sakha means Zakha, zaiduu, als, irmeg in Mongolian. In English edge, borderor far away.

Ancient MONGOLIANS used to call some of them who lived far away in the north side of Great Mongol Empire! That is why those people still called Sakha! Sakha is Zakha Ord! The one of the ethnic part of Mongols!
