@galapz still: quite the age difference.. though not as important in mozart (argerich is clearly at an advantage here. still able to play flawlessly technical but musical insight of higher age.. i still like kissin:D) i wouldnt neglect it.. good its not a competition:D love it
@agniky Argerich is in my opinion by far greater artist. I don't think her musical insight is the mater of age, she is simply a greater talent. Still when the two of them when playing Mozart sound so balanced. Not to many people can match her clarity but he is one of them.
@galapz To me Kissin is the most talented pianist alive, with the exception of Martha and Sokolov, but at their age he might be like them. But it's a matter of taste anyway, I always read ''not so nice'' comments from Argerich hatters in my videos.
@Facconti I got to see Evgeny Kissin last year with the BSO playing Chopin Piano Concerto No. 1 and Grieg's Piano Concerto in A minor. It was quite a treat. He is supremely talented and loves the audience. (He gave 4 encore performances and received such a great standing ovation from the audience! He literally soaked it up!)
But I have to agree with galapz.... I don't like Martha's interpretation as much as others like Horowitz (although she is bloody brilliant when it comes to Prokofiev)
hoffentlich trainieren jetzt nicht alle Amerikaner drauf, es noch schneller zu spielen.

The performance is admirable, but there are simply too many timing coordination errors.

the two of them play very well because their pianism is comparable.
