To bad drug companies would loose profits. To bad the alcohol industry (which is responsible for indirectly killing so many people) is lobbying the government to protect their profits.

Yes the dispensary businesses that will bring in millions per year have to pay $15,000 in taxes for their license and $50 tax on each ounce sold, but that's infinitely better than being arrested and having your future robbed from you.

Since when is there something wrong with political advocacy? Every time we have an election we're all inundated with ads advocating political views from all across the spectrum. I find it hard to believe that 'political advocacy' is the real reason they don't want to show this ad. My guess is that they're concerned some important people will be offended by the ad. As another poster commented, CBS can't stop this discussion. I hope they reconsider. Not accepting this ad could make CBS look bad.

Major networks may not want to air this now, but soon enough when the Nov. 2010 election is being campaigned in California, it's going to be on our ballot. And the TV stations are going to have to run ads about it, both pro and con.... This is going to get really interesting. I believe there will soon be lots of commercials about weed on the TV.
