  • poooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooor dog

    he want one awooooooo

  • hey Eric great videos, I suggest adding about 1/2 to 1 tsp. of vegetable oil to the chocolate chips before you put them in the microwave it should prevent burning and it is supposed to help them melt equally also stir them every 15 seconds when microwaving.

  • @botbpro hey thanks for that idea. chocolate is hard to manage. eric.

  • I wanted you to feed the poor doggy one.

  • @yuppyguitar1 i would but chocolate is not good for dogs to eat. they do get plenty of snacks, though. thanks for watching. we post videos each week if you'd care to subscribe to our channel. eric .

  • @erochow Yeah I know, but he looks so sad! Not even one little treat? Just kidding! Subscribed!

  • im having a halloween party this year for family and friends i thank i might make these it looks easy :) and your dog at the end was so cute looking at that candy like "hey you are you going to drop that" i have 2 pet rats and they do the same haha! great video

  • @Alexisqueertube these treats are easy to make and real easy to eat. make extras, as they go fast! eric.

  • From 7:44 - 8:31, I had been holding my breath and praying 'Don't feed the dog. Don't feed the dog'. Then message gave me such a relieve. If that was ur intention, you got me on that LOL

This's 3rd vid I've watched and you seem well-educate urself for whatever under ur care:)

  • @LIVELISTENLAUGHLOVE yeah, chocolate is not good for pups. thanks for watcing, please tell your friends about the show! eric.

  • great vid, the doggy footage is relaxing (Y)

  • Great video and such a simple recipe. I made a batch of these last night with sea salt and coffee beans ground on top...will try using dark chocolate next. Appreciate that you didn't edit out the trial and error; otherwise, I would have done the same. Neat dogs!

  • haha thats funny :] if u dont have a double boiler just use a pot with a ceramic bowl that fits in nicely and put water in the pot but make sure it doesnt touch the bowl :] ooh and when u melt chocolate on the stove it keeps the shine? :] very pretty

  • @LissCanDoMakeup thanks for that suggestion Liss!

  • this is such an amazing video!!! delicious recipe and wonderful personalities. i laughed a lot, thanks for sharing!!!

  • How big is a cup? Half a pint?

  • Why did the lady running the camera act like she didn't know that you could buy peanut butter cups in the store?

  • I'm going to make this now.I love the fact your not afraid to lick the spatula on air or show the mistake you've made so we can learn from it and Love the warning on don't feed dogs chocolate most people don't think twice about stuff like that.Thank you for all the videos you've made and many more to come.

  • YOU HAVE TO ADD MILK TO THE CHOCOLATE CHIPS WHEN YOU MICROWAVE THEM!

  • Microwave = chocolate death!

The problem with chocolate is that is has a very specific melting point, and too much heat will just burn it and mess up its melting/hardening properties. If you want slightly better quality chocolate for candy like this, you can also use the wafers (they're like small chocolate discs from a baking supply place).

  • @sooth15 thanks, i learned this after the fact... but the treats were good. eric.

  • @erochow I'm glad you still succeded. One of the good things about screwing-up chocolate is that unless you really BURN it, it will still taste good. I always melt it in a double boiler, but I have screwed it up a few times before.

  • That is by far the worst case of chocolate melting abuse I have ever seen in my entire life!!! Use the internet man, microwaves and chocolate don't mix together!!!

  • You guys always make me laugh. Very entertaining and I can't wait to make these for my chocolate peanut butter cup loving husband. :) Thank you for sharing :o)

  • I am glad that you commented on the chocolate seizing up. I was wincing when you put the choc. in the microwave on "high" (YIKES!) One note: You can also put a fruit jam on top of the peanut butter (very cold blob of raspberry, strawberry, etc.) and put chocolate over that to freeze. It makes the cups EVEN BETTER! Try it, Eric!

  • YIKES Eric! Those are Cupcake paper cups! They make a smaller version for "candy size" and "sample size", lol! THat is the size you should get for party or else your going to have to spend a small fortune getting enough portion size for each person, lol! (get those other ones in gourmet stores, or craft stores, or online, candy making supplies. In the meantime "let's watch the dogs", lol!

  • I have that book! I was looking for a recipe in it for pumpkin pie filling. You know, from scratch? It's kinda hard to find. I thought it'd be cool to try it that way instead of from a can!

  • Ha, dog in basin of water..funny. Double broiler works every time. Thanks for the video, looks easy. Yum!

  • Yay for double boilers! Those look really nice. Seeing as we have a peanut butter addict, and a chocolate addict (myself) in the house, we will have to try this recipe out.

  • double boiler when tempering chocolate, only way to go. =D

  • wow those are the largest oyster mushrooms i've ever seen!!!!!!!! those are awesome!!!! how do they taste? the oyster mushrooms we get here are mild and somewhat fishy in flavor. how does those taste? i've read that mushrooms grown in different environments tend to taste differently.... i almost feel as if those oyster mushrooms you've found are stronger....i dunno, just thinking...

  • seems like that the chocolate in that would overpower the peanutbutter or that could be just me, anyways another good video, keep them coming, really get good info from you guys.

  • Using the dogs in your videos was a master stroke! :)

  • I've seen enough of your videos to know it's a bad idea for you to be foraging for mushrooms. ; D

  • I hate peanut butter and don't like chocolate.....but, for some reason, when you put them together I like it (strange).

Would suggest melting the chocolate in a double boiler. (wrote that before I saw you do it)

    Great video any way Eric!

  • Chocolate seizes from getting water in it. After that it can be melted down and made smooth with the addition of some more liquid, but it is only good for a sauce at that point.

You can look up "Art of Darkness" from Good Eats for more info.

  • MORE PEANUT BUTTER!
