  • wow...

  • where did this "line multiplication" originate? please answer me.. ^^,

  • I guess if u can't do cross multiplication, you can take the easy and long road of drawing and counting dots...

  • aa this is very easy

  • looks more complicated!

  • The 'rainbow-method' is a description of the distributive property of mulitplication 'over' addition. In other words you can say 3*(2+5) and go ahead and add 2 and 5 and get seven then multiply by 3 getting 21 or if you want to you can say 3*2 + 3*5 getting 6 plus 15 which (for sure) comes out to be 21

  • thx a lot

  • the first part existed in texted books i forgot the real name but my teacher calls it the rainbow methode

  • "srry but i didnt get this at all exept the tic tac toe like part"

I hope your not in High School or graduated...

    Simple Algebra.

Btw do you know the name of the mathematics using lines?

  • The correspondance between the distributive property of multiplication over addtion is not easy to follow. Certainly doing multiplication that way is very wierd. But the multiply using lines is precisely just that.

  • srry but i didnt get this at all exept the tic tac toe like part

  • ahhhhhhhh to much math

    make it stop ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh
