My only guess here is Windows 7 which I've heard games do play at lower frame rates vs XP. I dont think its the slightly detuned Intel Chip which really shouldn't be noticeable. Again, I use XP, loaded in the Drivers from the Snow Leopard Installation disc once I loaded in XP the 1st time, and then made sure everything was up to date like Apple Software update. Windows Update doesnt always install the correct Mac Drivers tho. Haven't installed any patches either.
Depends on your needs. IMAc is the Way to go cause it has everything. Core iSeries chip, 7200 RPM drives, iSight, Display, Discrete graphics, & etc
Mac Mini is a bit more Anemic cause of the 5400RPM drives, Core 2 duo chip. But it is much more reliable. Its slower when opening apps, ripping or reformatting vids with handbrake & etc. Integrated graphics (The 320M isn't bad but it takes away 256 MB of ram & not as good as discrete). The Server comes with 7200rpm drives so it helps
The server comes with faster drives but you need the MacBook Air Superdrive, iLife as it doesn't omes in the server, nor does it come with bootcamp or any drivers if you attempt to try ( I tried and was so out of luck & returned the server ). It's very portable though.
I had the iMac for a few weeks but I couldn't stand the glare & the Backlight power inverter made a weird noise, No Status Light so I never knew if it were asleep.
But you know, I do miss the iMac. I may go for an iMac again next year and give the Mini to my parents. I 'm sure Apple will have a whole new iMac next summer so I'll hold up with this setup for now. I edit lots ff videos as I have other account, rip lots of movies, I need more power.
@LHunterO78 if you want power, than I'd reccoemend the Mac Pro, since all other models, you can only change the HDD and RAM, not the GPU or Processor. I have a 2008 24" 3.06ghz dual core imac, and its all fine, but the GPU is horrible, but I can't change it... If you want something for power and gaming, then go with the mac pro, and the Benq M2700HD is a good 27" LCD (75hz, 2ms response time, 1920 - 1080, Apple 27" LED, 2560 - 1440, 60hz, 12ms response time)
Get What the GTA4 Gameplay?? Install Windows and boot it up with BootCamp. I now have an Xbox 360 controller so I'm doing much better than in the video.
All you have to do is load in the Mac OS X Install Disc when XP boots up. Then It will install all necessary drivers so it would work properly. Apples drivers are still the latest Avail
If you plan to run Win on a new Mini, It's easiest on the NON server Mini because the server edition of Mac OSX doesn't have boot Camp or supplied drivers. If you want the server Mini, You'll have to purchase the regular Version of MacOSX
You're talking to a person who's grown up on Sega Genesis, PS1, and Ps2. I really haven't gone anywhere with this game yet. It just impossible for me to work this on a keyboard. I need to get an Xbox360 remote which I believe works works with any PC via USB. And I need to learn that remote as well as I'm so used to the old PS2 remote.
can i connect a xbox controller with the mac mini or can i connect my xbox 350 with this mac ??

hey there
My graphics are far away from this and as per game settings i only have 306 mb ram available. despite low settings the game still runs slowly.
How can i make this work like yours? do i need patches or would it be enough to bypass the vram limits within the graphics settings??
I have the mac mini 2,4 with geforce 320m graphics and 4gbs of ram running on bootcamp, windows 7.
any help is much appreciated!!

Did you have trouble with the drivers for the nvidia 320m? I'm planning to buy one but I'm afraid windows xp won't work properly.
