  • Sweet groove man, was feeling it pretty good

  • @DWarrior4 Thanks for watching. I love these MIM strats!

  • Your Strat sure sounds good, especially with those SC-101s fitted. I was torn between buying an American or a Mexican Strat, but the Mexican one seem just as good except for the electrics. So, I think I'll save some money and buy a Mexican, and then swap out the pick-ups for Seymour Duncan's or the EMG DG20 kit. Also, I watched a tour of the Fender factory in Corona, CA and surprisingly the American guitars are built mainly by - Mexicans - who'd a thunk it! They know how to build a good guitar.

  • @soulrebelno1 Thanks for watching. I can't recommend the MIM highly enough. They are great bang for buck and nearly on par with the MIA. If you don't like the stock pickups then they are easy enough to change but in recent times I've actually come to like them and have left them in the last two MIM's I purchased. Cheers.

  • Yep, as you say MIM is the way to go, and I'll try out the pups for a while. I had an MIA Strat years ago when I was gigging but I can't justify spending that much these days, I sold it and bought an electro-acoustic, but I always missed my Strat. I want to do some home recording and improve my playing so don't need the kudos of an MIA Strat. From what I've seen and heard MIM are just as good - sometimes better! I came across this about an MIJ Strat on gilmourish, again just as good. Cheers.

  • Do u have your selector switch set all the way to the top?

  • @tschmitty100 Yep. For the most part it is set to the top, or position 5 the neck pickup only. Mid way through the video I changed to position 2, bridge and middle pickup together for a short passage. Thanks for watching.

  • THATS WHAT I CALLED A BLUES!!!!!

  • @pnoyrock76 Thanks for watching.

  • ¿COMO SE LLAMA ESE TEMA????

  • Sweet tone bro... very nice. I'm glad I got a set of SC101N to put on my future strat when it comes.

  • @bermudaguitar You'll love them. Thanks for watching.

  • fisrt sounds like stormy monday ala modern blues band, good guitar, good sound, good playing, thanx

  • @RUBENPEREZmusic Thanks for watching.

  • Hi Tony the Strat sounds great and I love your blues style.....excellent stuff my new friend

    ;)) Steve

  • @bennettskb555 Thanks Steve.

  • Toni, this is EXCELLENT ... I really love your lead-sound and playing-technic! APPLAUSE!

  • @notpopebuthope Thanks my friend.

  • @imguitarted Thanks Ted. What you say is true and a good tactic to give the blues a bit more variation. (not that I'm an expert by any stretch!) Thanks for watching.

  • It sounds really cool, really goog sound mate this guitar and your play for me is perfect. I love Strat sound!

  • @Laotraorillaman Thanks for the nice comments.

  • Sounds good, Tony. I like the single coil sound all the time. Good luck with the new guitar.

  • @Ajohn13 Yep. Can't beat single coils for that clarity. Cheers.

  • Yeah! That's very good sound with your excellent playing, Tony! SC-101 pickups are great. Did you do their exchange work? The scratchplate exchange, the wiring, the soldering and something. Again, I think that it's the good sound which doesn't have a noise. Currently, I'm thinking of picking-ups exchange of the Japanese vintage guitar (Tokai). I will use " Fender Texas Special pick-ups" probably. Have a good weekend, my friend!

  • @mkauchi Thanks Kauchi. No, a local guitar tech did the soldering for me but it was a straight pickguard swap job. Texas specials are great pickups and I'm sure will work well with your Tokai.

  • @sarinapaparone Tony, Thanks for the fast reply. Maybe, I will also ask a guitar tech for those exchanges. My fingers are all thumbs. :-) By the way, especially, I like your phrase at the 1:40.

"fluently-phrase", "asweep back".... Sorry, I'm not sure how to put it into English. Just wonderful. Thanks, Kauchi

  • @mkauchi Thanks again Kauchi for watching. Good luck with your pickup swap. Tony.

  • Finally. A video to prove to people that "Made in Mexico" doesn't mean it isn't a fine piece of equipment. I'm not even Mexican, for those questioning. Very nice Strat and Tone.

  • @oBucketheado Thanks. I'm not Mexican (or Indonesian for that matter) but most players do not NEED quality above this axe. It is a very nice instrument.
