  • It's real I just did it myself and there was the same thing in mine at there was in is if you don't believe just go and get a6v duracell battery and open it up

  • then not thao

  • bullshit ive done it and there is nothing more thao goo and shit

  • You do now that energizer is the one with the aa batterys

  • fake u need more acting dude if u want to pull it off right

  • Thanks, I had an old 6 volt duracell batterie, same as the one in your vid. cracked it open and sure enough. The exact D size batteries inside. Now instead of payin 10 12 bucks for a 6 volt batterie, I kept the casing and just load it with 4 less expensive D size batteries. Heck of alot cheaper and they last just as long.

  • i took 1 a part be for and it wuss int 4 batters

  • fake caus the lables on the smaler batterys

  • wait why is the edge look like its already open

  • @CrazyPersonandwired its fake thats y

  • fake and gay

  • Wow what a dumb ass... there aren't AA batteries in those... where the fuck did you hear that from, oh, wait let me guess... you heard it from the Redneck Blog Site, right? lmfao

  • Yeah it's real, 6v batteries are basically made up of 4 D 'cells' in side.

    An AA or a C or D is called a cell, they're always 1.5volts. A 6 volt or 9 volt battery contains 4 or 6 1.5 volt 'cells'

The 9 volt batteries that go in your smoke detectors for example are just made up of cells inside.

Anyway this video is just lame. I worked all this out when I was about 6 !

  • Bit of a pointless video.

  • OW MY EYE

  • it onley worck on them tipes of battrey

  • fake

  • 32 AA equals 48 volts so 4 D or 4 C batteries do output 6 V

  • umm no! they would NOT have the batterys insde wrapped in the labeling. it would just be little metal rod looking batterys. and so therefor this video is fake :)

  • @AwesomeMrCheese- Your a dumbass you say they wouldnt have labels. I ask jack off why wouldnt they have labels?

You saw how he uses a screw driver you really think he's going to fake this....LMAO

The end result will differ between brands but before you say somethings fake try it yourself.. I did the same and it's D cells.

  • why did anyone take that so seriously -.-

  • u need power cell

  • No only lantern 6v batterys have 32 double a batterys smartone

  • hahaha you say were blindfolded

this is the most difficult pinata on earth

  • it was a joke wtf is wrong with you peopple

  • FAKE

  • by the way, the first place the idea of AAs inside 6V came from Gag films, ther are a joke.

  • @retepvosnul

    :)))

    thanks

  • @retepvosnul Point(s) well taken. I'm going to dump the blindfold, from now on. thanks

  • @retepvosnul

Hey - I was freaking blindfolded, ya' know?!

  • I did the same.. And got "D's".. The other was a Eveready.

  • uh... real?

  • the double a battery thing is a myth

  • i used a little knife-.-

  • Youre reading my comment 2. Now youre saying/thinking thats a stupid fact. 4. You didnt notice that I skipped 3. 5. Your checking it now. 6. Your smiling. 7. Your still reading my comment. 8. You know all you have read is true. 10. You didn't notice that i skipped 9. 11. Your checking it now. 12. You didn't notice there are only 10 facts Copy and paste to 1 video; tomorrow will be your best day ever! No matter what!
  • I love the monotone "oh well" i hope that was on purpose

  • but of course.

I had not the slightest inkling what to expect before hand. I was actually somewhat disappointed...

  • The AA cells are inside the D cells. Inside the AA cells are watch batteries, and inside the watch batteries are tiny wheels with itty-bitty mice running in them.

That's why I use Energizers. They operate purely via the power of prayer.

  • @BadAnkle No Energizers work off of the power of bunnies... with drums to keep the cadance for the slaves they drive to power the battery :) !!!

  • yeah its fake..

  • gimme a break, I'm left handed...

  • @kcomsda ME TOOO ;D

  • It's been so long since I did this I forgot the actual results! Those were 'D' cell batteries... in this particular case. I still have a couple flashlights that use them and that's where they are today.

    david

    happy new year 2010

  • It that real? it there really more batteys in that (please reply

  • inside that particular battery were four 'F' cells (longer than 'D' cells) - but that was it. If you can believe what others have commented - the heavy duty Walmart battery does contain double A' s (AA) - but I seriously doubt it. Merry Christmas

  • Merry christmas bro i thought it was a fake

  • FAKE

why would they put batteries with lables

  • @TheMrawsome1 the top was open the whole time too! that made it look even more fake

  • @TheMrawsome1 its not fake try it out your self i did

  • why are the inside batteries labeled i call it advanced advertising THEY KNOW THAT WE YOUTUBERS OPEN THEM

  • hahah advanced advertising ... interesting but funny concept

    I like it o.o

  • it looks tampered with

  • I call BS even if there were d batteries i there they wouldnt have the freakin label on there

  • wow (creator speaking, earlier talker was host) that is really cool. i think they should have a bunch of little batteries in there.

  • so u realy think a battery cell would be labled

  • Actually, I was rather surprised....

  • yo dawg, I heard you like batteries, so we put some batteries in ur battery, so you can power electronic devices while you power electronic devices

  • You forgot the ;D expression.

  • ily<3

  • the lantern kind have the aa batts...I've tried the energiser kind too, and they have no labeled aa batts, unlike yours...it depends on the brand, and the type...the empty space in the energiser, by the way, is full of non-conductive...(DUH!!!...)saw dust, so do it outside...

  • why would you lie about such a thing? haha. makes yourself seem stupid really. thats not inside those batteries 12v batteries. theres cells in their but theres no brand label on them or anything. think about it. it don't even make sense to waste money on labeling something thats inside a battery that should never be taken apart.

  • "Heavy Duty Power Cell batt." wrong version dude.

  • Meaning, what?

A different version/type of battery WOULD be chock full of smaller batteries?

  • it is so fake it was already loose i bet he put the batteries in by himself

  • Thanks for those keen insights - not going to get much past you, we can see that...

    :)))

Thanks for taking the time to view the channel and come back again. Maybe we'll have to open up one of the 'heavy duty' batteries.

  • what if you open those big once!! you might find AA batteries!!

  • wee I suppose you just might....

  • Of course there's not any AA batteries in there...

  • They aren't 'D' cells, they're 'F' cells! Same diamter made on the same machinery with an easy tooling changeover.

  • My dear sir, with all due respect, if the batteries inside the 6 volt were the same length as the case, they would be 'F' cells. However, they are not. They are regular flashlight size, and the empty space is taken up with a cardboard spacer.

  • it is in fact real, i did it last night. there are no wires to cut, its a plate that makes contact with the batteries

  • thank you.

  • He should have put Energizer in there just to make things more interesting...

  • that is complete bulshit coz there are wires to cut and ur a loser

  • Comment removed

  • well, it's getting pretty consistent - NOT Duracell. So, it must be official. I seem to recall that someone in a previous post said to try a Walmart six volt - anyone want to volunteer?

  • walgreen not walmart and i have no idea if its true

  • um, ok - it is a six volt lantern batt that...

what? Has the small ones inside?

  • is this fake?

  • Is what fake? The video, seen umpty two thousand times?

The idea of finding smaller batteries inside a larger one? That's what we're trying to decide, here, y'see....

Some say y'can, some say y'can't, some say maybe y'can if you use the right kind of battery?

What do YOU think? Is it real?

  • what? wtf are u saying?

  • not to worry - this may be over your head. Don't take any batteries apart, is my advice.

In brief - yes, it is real.

    david

  • hm well i tried using a family dollar 6 volt battery and their were AA battery inside so i think that using Ds will make for a better battery but yeah their were AAs in the family dolar battery

  • Thanks! Maybe it isn't a total hoax, then...

  • i think u got the rong battery

  • but doesnt the d cell battery have batteries or is the acid in them like a AA battery...?

  • inside the D cell - acid gunk.

  • so which type of batteries do have smaller batteris in them .... becuasei look for 12volts .that supposedly has small watch batteries...

  • Man... I cut open one of my diesel's two batteries and all it did was open up a worm hole into Narnia... Bull crap! That was an expensive battery!

  • why didn't you open up the D Cells?

  • to be frank, I never thought of that -

what should I expect to find, do ya' think?

    david

  • i dunno, that's why i asked

  • oh, sorry - inside the D cells is just the anode and some black gunk - together they make an electric current.

  • oh i see

  • Is it harmful?

  • could burn your skin - don't eat it, either

  • oh darn i was going to eat it ... it look like melted gummyworms...

  • wow

  • im still not sure if this is real.

  • you have to use a specific battery brand for the 32 batteries

  • ah, yes -- a specific battery brand!

And what might that brand be, we are wondering?

    any help would be appreciated

  • those with those rabits if i'm right

  • The heavy duty 6 volt batteries from walgreens has it. (it's walgreen's own brand)

  • I might actually believe that if the batteries inside weren't wrapped in the labels

    why would they bother?

    nice try though

  • um, because Duricell still manufacures their batteries. And part of the assembily line is a label. Honestly, you think you got this guy figured out? Fucking dumbass.

  • first off

no need to be a dick about it

    secondly

they would just pull the batteries off before they hit the labels

    can I hear a duh?

  • COOL!!! im gonna buy a duracell 6v

  • the piece of heavy cardboard kept the four 'D' cells together, since they are shorter than the height of the six volt battery case. There was empty space below them.

  • why there is a wooden or something like cardboard case there??

  • hi there ! can i post a vid response to this ?!?

    xP

  • sure

    kc_oms

  • It aches to see you struggling go get this damned batteries out. Do you have to left hands? I never saw such a clumsy, awkward person before. Ouch.

  • it looks pretty believeable

  • whats in the D CELL battery? ;)

  • Manganese Oxide and zinc jell like stuff.

  • judging by how long the clip is and how much content it has, you must have started on that project a week and a half ago. lucky you made it before santa came back around

  • its fake. he must have changed that because they wouldnt waste money putting labels on batterys inside another battery / labels no-one is gonna see

  • we addressed this thought about five months ago - thusly:

think of it like this: what would be expensive, would be to manufacture batteries especially to go in the six volts. Duracell is just using batteries that they already make in large quantities. Thanks for looking in...

  • The gloves are cute!

  • I'm amased at how many people actually ripped apart a 6V battery in an attempt to prove/disprove GAGFILMS.

  • your lucky...i aint putting my batteries back into my wife

  • wtf..

  • I opened one of those and i found my wife's lost vibrator!... she was happy....I was not! :-)

  • If you were actually hoping for actual AA bats being in there that makes you an official idiot. In fact the 6v bat "hack" is a LITMUS test for idiocy.

  • God don't be dumb this is fake there are 4 huge power cell things no such thing as free batties think about it 32 individual batties the a lot of work to cell for 4 dollars... fagot take these lies down

  • you were lucky, i found 4 large unknown batteries !!!!

  • you are lucky like him if you fine the duracell like his good luck

  • The type of battery inside the "6v" will vary depending on the manufacturer. The one constant is going to be 4 batteries inside

all alkalines are 1.5 volts each.

Something interresting a "A23" battery commonly found in garage door openers, and battery powered door bells contains 10 "377"

size alkaline button cells. Which will work in most watches. so you can get 10 watch batteries for about $3.00 or so. Or you could just pay some one the $5.00 to install the proper battery in your watch.

  • Hmmm, so the Duracell "copper-top" battery is a ripoff. Thanks for this video, kcomsda. There are other videos on YouTube showing the dissection of competitors' 6V lantern batteries, showing that they use cells that are the same diameter as a D cell, but are longer, pretty much filling up all the available space in the case. Obviously, the competition will have longer life, as long as one is comparing like battery chemistries, e.g. alkaline vs. alkaline.

  • well, a rip off in the sense that a six volt battery with larger cells might last longer, I suppose. I was a bit surprised to find four ordinary 'D' cells. And, of course, I was looking for larger number of 'AA's'

  • they are like h cells, big

  • this guy could learn to use a screwdriver!!

  • you could use it to save on D;s Lmao

  • prolly better to try the cheaper ones and see what they use.

  • the idea was to see if a bunch of AA batteries came out -- if they did, one would be money ahead. One loses money any other way...

I still haven't tried a heavy-duty battery as someone suggested -- but I will, eventually.

  • i dont think he would waste his time doing all of that

  • verry good i tryed i with the same one and it worked thanks :)

  • think of it like this: what would be expensive, would be to manufacture batteries especially to go in the six volts. Duracell is just using batteries that they already make in large quantities. Thanks for looking in...

  • thats what they said about the potheads

  • shut up man you suck taking all dam time!!!!!!

  • It's all about profit. They probably use what they have a surplus of. Better battery technologies already exist but while we keep paying for crap they will keep selling it to us! Supply & Demand rules I guess. Thanks for the vid kcomsda and your comment BuriedScroll.

  • Pretty neat. When I opened mine, I got four cells, but they were almost 2x as long as a D-cell.

By the way, mine still works. Does yours? :)

  • it no longer works as a six volt battery, but the individual cells work just fine.

  • MAN spent 45 minutes tryin to open my battry and all I found inside was a note from Duracell sayin go buy another big ass battry

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!ROFL!!

  • I guess it varies

  • thank you! Did you open one of the heavy-duty power cells and find the 32 double A's? If so, I'm going to purchase one and try the test, again.

  • I've been looking over various videos to see who gets what from what batteries. I got a 6v Duracell just like yours, and mine had the same cardboard in it, only mine contained D-Cells inside, instead of C-Cells.

  • I mis-spoke myself, once there, in the video - what was in the Duracell 6 volt I opened was 'D' cells. Bohoki suggested opening some sort of 'heavy duty' 6 volt. I just used the one I did because it was sitting around. . .

  • why, thank you for the timely advice. You have such a way with words. . .

  • dude even if there was d cells or c cells they wouldnt have the label on them so you oviously planted them in it not convincing

  • yep - labels and all - just like it shows. That's how it was. I got better things to do (tho not many) than stuff fake batts in a six volt canister. . .

  • yea the only way to get the 32 alkaline aas is to buy the heavy duty haaa

you just wrecked a $6 battery for 4 c batts that cost like $3

  • ahhh - so true~~

but you cannot put a price on inquisitiveness, or the fun of taking things apart. . .

  • you used a different battery mabye thats why.

  • AmyAmy45 has posted the original video, thank you. To come up with 6 V using 32 1.5 V batteries four groups of eight would have to be wired in parallel and then those four in series. We would certainly like to know where to find one of these batteries?

  • Well at least you can buy that and save some money on C cells.

  • there is a link to the original video to which this is a response on the Blog -
