i would use the m60 more but i think its buggy when i get to the max recoil, it will not hit anyone even when the center of my optic is on someone. i have had times were an entire team was in a semi straight line and i was useing my m60 with grip/holo/extendedmag and after the first 2 guys died while holding down the trigger, hit markers just stoped. the problem is it has happened more then once and has only happened with the m60

The problem with the M240B is that it got nerfed in the big patch. It used to be a 3 hit kill up close, but it got caught in the mass nerf of the 7.76 ammo that was caused by the (not really ever OP) SCAR-H. This means that it can't kill in 3 hits like the PKP and has a slower fire rate and more recoil than the M249 which leaves it in an awkward spot where it really isn't ever better than those two in any situation.

For running around the PKP pecheneg is one of the best because of low spread and decent rpm I personally like that the best. I use the 240b with a bipod it's basically a sniper at that point

This is the first time I disagree with you Stone. The M240B is a great gun it deals a very high damage 20-30 so it is one of the best guns in BF3 (my opinion.) I had like a K/D in TDM of 4-6 with a holografik, foregrip and extanted mags with like 20-50 kills every time so you probably just had a bad server. Please test the gun again and you will (probably) not get disipointed.

You should try out the MG36, even that it says its medium range its actually really good on long range as well since you can change fire mode on it from full to burst to single... Been killing snipers on Oman at Veterans Retreat while they where camping out in the towers and at hotel... as i said, the medium range is kinda not that medium, but semi long... i know... that's what she said last night... =P

I don't like that gun either. In fact, I don't like most LMGs. I feel like they have awful spread no matter what I do. If I have to use an LMG, I go for the M249 or the default US LMG with the ~46 rounds.

M240B kicks like a mule with the Holo not sure why but with the RDS it seems to have less recoil D:. I agree though rather stick to what I know the QBB-95 :D.

I use the M240B and it's quite powerful in my opinion. You have to be very careful with the recoil however. I've gotten plenty of double and triple sprays with it.

You kinda just ignored the main strength of the M240B, which is its high damage of 34 where the M249 is 25, it also does more at range than any other LMG, Starting at 34 and dropping to 28, where the M249 drops to 19 and M60/PKP which are also 34 Damage guns, drop to 25.

I think your main issue is burst firing, When I use the M240, I burst fire for all but extreme close quarters engagements, and I usually drop people very quickly, even at long ranges, thanks to its high damage.
