  • that is what the " X " shape sign is called that you see above the flashing lights/or on just mounted on a pole. at least that's the name for them here in the States

  • The crossbuck without Railroad Crossing on them is just a Canadian preference. Kind of like how in Great Britain, a CAUTION sign is represented by a triangular shaped sign with a black exclamation point "!" on a white background with a red border. It's just their preference.

  • @Jeffwecker81 well because in canada we are french and inglish country so if they said railroad crossing they would have to say it in french when in qubec.
