The crossbuck without Railroad Crossing on them is just a Canadian preference. Kind of like how in Great Britain, a CAUTION sign is represented by a triangular shaped sign with a black exclamation point "!" on a white background with a red border. It's just their preference.
@Jeffwecker81 well because in canada we are french and inglish country so if they said railroad crossing they would have to say it in french when in qubec.
