  • ok siouxsie i got to admit is not the best dancer but who cares! she rocks out!

  • This band reminds me of the Cure. Great music.

  • @opalthehuman You are joking !?

  • Excellent,raw, rocky and subtle

  • Post Punk?! Is beatifull, very nice!!

  • i love them

  • The Weeknd has great taste.

  • wow, didnt realise just how much of this the weeknd sampled for house of balloons. WAOOOO

  • @DiscoStorm the whole house of balloons had samples in almost every song lol but thats what made it great

  • Now I know where MSI got "Bitches" from :D

  • She's got some moves! FUN!

  • peppermint lounge nyc, 1982? amazing.

  • You know... this song doesn't make me happy at all... but it does bring a creepy grin to my face...

  • msi bitches

  • Obviously filmed during one of their many "between guitarists" periods.

  • BATCAVE<3

  • The Weeknd DEFINITELY brought me here ! O_<

  • timeless......

  • Yeah the Weeknd did wonders with this song.

  • I've always been a Siouxsie fan, but yeah The Weeknd brought me here lol

  • the only thing that i disliked was the john wasn't in this vid

  • The Weeknd brought me here.

  • With out question - one of the greatest of all time!!!!!!!

  • The weeknd tore this to shreds

  • @guitarsfromhell77 in a good way ?

  • so why wasn't john in the filming of this video??

  • Why are you arguing about whether this is punk or not? Yes, this particular song would slot nicely under the post-punk title, but have you never listened to their songs such as Carcass, Nicotine Stain, Metal postcard? Yes...Siouxsie and the Banshees were definitely punk.

Anyway, regardless of what kind of musical genre's you want to slot them under, they're a fantastic fucking band, so just enjoy the bloody music will you!

  • Siouxsie and the Banshees were definitely punk back in the day. This song is NOT punk. I just get tired of kids, corporate record labels, myspace radio and the music buyers for Target and Wal-Mart calling all kinds of cheesy pop rock punk.

  • @obscuritystunt I agree.

  • I saw her just a couple of years ago at House of Blues and she had it all over us younger girls.

  • The Weeknd does every cover better than the original !

  • @ErikAngstrom: hmmm... no, sorry. I hate The Weeknd

  • siiinnggg aaallloooongggg

  • This beautiful track is transcendentally elevated by the stunning guitar work of the late, great John Alexander McGeoch. His playing is complex, yet sounds deceptively simple. He used strange scales, a bit of flange and a most un-Rock'n'Roll approach to his playing. Hugely influential through his guitar work with Siouxsie and the Banshees, Magazine, PIL, Visage, The Armoury Show etc.

It is a pity he didn't appear in this video alongside Siouxsie, Severin and Budgie. John McGeoch (1955-2004)

  • NICE! =)

  • fantastici ricordi legati a questa canzone....

  • 120 viewers live in the Sad House.

  • Love this song......

  • This was the PUNK happy house, not the woodstock one's.

Tjis was the house who made a movment spread the whole world, and partially change it's mind.

This song is almost as important as Anarchy in the UK, because it just show how where people in the world, punks people, in 1978/1979/1980...

  • True punk band at its best. Classic tune. Fantastic woman, fab band.

  • @keeler50 I agree with your staement except that S&TB are not a true punk band, better described as post-punk, goth or alternative. Yes they emerged during the punk movement and their early work shares some punk asthetic, but this is not punk.

  • @keeler50 Punk-band? Wouldnt you say post-punk?

  • @jacquelinelacan Post punk? She backed up the Sex Pistols in the early years for God's sake, learn your punk history. Watch the interview between the Pistols and Bill Grundy. She was the girl who started the controversy that arose form that interview and launched the entire punk movement. She is the Goddess of punk.

  • @keeler50 PuNk - lasted very shortly

  • it was acceptable in the 80's

  • Who lives in a happy house!!!

  • dressing in motley my dear. how elizabethan.

  • Where everyone gets kit kats!

  • The beginning of this reminds me of a MSI song, and I can't place the song.

  • @nekrozombii Yeah they took a sample and they put it at the start of one of their songs.

  • @nekrozombii Bitches :)

  • my sister just commented " dosn't look that happy does it! I'd hate to live in a house like that it dosn't look fun there's nothing in it. " I'm glad she likes the song though.

  • Bloody Crackin' woman :)

  • Still one of the greatest and founding fathers (mothers?) of Goth.

It's an amazing album anyway, but I always loved this track.

  • They are a true Punk-Goth band of the 70's/80's.

  • heard the end of this on the radio and thought it was good. bloody hell i was wrong.

  • Was it John McGeoch on guitar for this? It sounds too good to be a Robert Smith guitar part.

  • @NormanArches Pretty sure he was. Why's he not in the clip?

  • @2cabs2toucan

Although John McGeoch plays on this track, contractually he was not permitted to appear in the video.

  • @VlogKing why so?

  • @merdailloux

    Not sure.

  • 119 People do not live in a 'Happy House' because they disliked this and are dumb.

  • BLOODY HECK, THANK GOD ROBERT SMITH GOT OUT OF THIS BAND HE WAS THE ONLY GREAT FROM IT !!!!!

  • Yeah!!!! buenisima canción siouxsie happy house.....

  • Before Polly Jean Harvey there was Susan Janet Ballion. Two absolutely outstandingly talented and beautiful women. Lady Gaga has a fucking long way to go before she can even come close to being this good.

  • @squaddie67 Stop being such a douche. No one cares about your nostalgic nonsense...least of all LAdy Gaga. Just like what you like and don't worry about what other people do.

  • @ArseneWengerIsGod Just an opinion, doesn't make me a douche. However, the same can't be said of being an Arsenal fan. Just how long can one team rely on one injury-prone Dutchman? COYS.

  • @squaddie67 Hahaha! Touche...and true! And since Spurs have NEVER finished above Arsenal, I'll wait to attend their coronation...but can't blame you being excited this year. And the answer is: All year! :)

  • This is freaking me out. I shouldn't look up music I've never listened to '~' It's scary.

  • @CuriousMoth Why Not !

  • @koolheadpig 'Cause it's scaaaryyy! Look at what she's wearing man o.O; That's crazy bizarre.

  • anybody think of MSI the first time they heard this

  • @bumchunk3 Yeah ._.

  • @bumchunk3 haha yeah! MSI must have sampled it

  • Houses used to be happy in the past, now everything is internet and cell phones, and so everyone is depressed... T_T

  • This was such a great era for music and this track just fab...

  • siouxsie crunk on this one

  • what talent back then xxx, deserved more than what they got. even today, get them back on tv?

  • Bitches love Siouxsie cause' they know she can rock!

  • How come John Mcgeoch isn't in this vid? Had he left the band by then?

  • @davedenisetigg This was the first song they wrote after McGeoch and Budgie joined. Maybe he just couldn't make the video shoot or something.

  • @squaddie67 Nice 1 thanks

  • SIouxsie is superior to everybody.

  • who is the weekend?

  • @earinsound

An awesome RnB singer. Like, the white Ne-Yo from Canada

  • @payau123

i must be showing my age---who is Ne-Yo? haha..

  • @earinsound

    Present day Michael Jackson, lol.

  • @payau123 he's not white..hes black , from toronto and sings nothing like ne-yo.....ne-yo is one of the cheesiest artists ever.. the weeknd (no E) is one of the greatest artists out right now and made r&b cool (really made his own genre bcuz his stuff is not really r&b)

  • @earinsound the weeknd.. youtube him

  • this sounds so weird, after only hearing the weeknd's version!

  • Meh, my house is pretty miserable.

  • @snowwhitesdildo hey it could be worse, Siouxsie could be there to remind you....Oh hang on

  • i want to join the pole shift survival group or start the new one.

  • i dont know why this video freak me out D:

  • THE WEEKND<3

  • I think Kylie, Becky MacDonald's sister on Corrie resembles Siouxsie some what in her younger years, both brass and tough as nails. Have been a Siouxsie fan from way way back, and soon a I seen Kylie on Corrie I was like there's Siousxie Sioux.

  • THE WEEKND SLAYED THIS

  • cool guitars cool song

  • i hate ppl come on videos and say oh blah blah blah made it so much better! bitch! without the original it wouldn't even been thought of!

  • SIIIIIIING AAAAAAA LOOOOOOOOONG WHOOA OH

  • Her screams are so sick! Love Siouxsie!

  • The Weeknd's inspiration for House of Balloons <3

  • true true

  • @blackmongoosegalvan Lord gaga is a crappy, wannabe siouxsie

  • @blackmongoosegalvan Not even fucking close.

Siouxsie did all her own clothes and styling. She didn't have a team of stylists that just ripped off other people.

  • @blackmongoosegalvan Gaga wears insane and tacky outfits and can't sing for shit. Why the comparison?

  • @blackmongoosegalvan that is the most offensive thing i have ever seen on here

  • omg listening to the weekend brought me here :)

  • classic:-)

  • that guitar style picking inspired many bands inlcude The Smiths

  • MSI -.-

  • AHH FUCK MAN !!!!

  • @kuhal777 too late buddy! i already gots me five kids, and they all goin round tellin e'body and they friends that souxsie and the banshees ripped off capella on this track.

  • Love the song, but the video must have cost about two bob to make!

  • Yes Cappella did use the riff in the song "U Got 2 Know" They also used a sapmple from Sounds Like A Melody by Alphaville in their other song "U Got 2 Let The Music"..... Amongst other song they took samples from

  • I Love this song :D

  • Who are Capella?

  • Love it!!!

  • Respond to this video... moooooooooo i am a cow

  • They totally stole the riff from this from Capella.

  • @tostare Yeah those time travelling copy-cats!

  • @rdjhardy tostare seems lost on the fact that the Banshees wrote this song before Capella even existed.

  • @zrdragon1 I think he's joking. And he's continuing to pull your leg because you bit.

  • @tostare Capella stole it from them actually as this song came out before Capella even existed. Happy House came out in 1980 and Capella were not even formed until 1987. Cheers.

  • @zrdragon1 WHAT????? You're seriously trying to tell me that Capella stole this song FROM Souxsie and the Banshees? Are you nuts? Listen to the two songs, it's the same riff! Go and listen to them now and then come back with your ridiculous claims.

  • @tostare Well lets look at the evidence. The Banshees had a hit with this song they wrote in 1980 and Capella had a hit with their rip off of the riff from the Banshees song in 1993. Says it all really. Thanks for playing.Feel free to carry on by yourself.
