Thats not entirly true, Your circuits are better, and drag is now popular, but 15 years ago drag was popular in Japan, HKS 180 SX sill has the fastest time for an RB26 I believe, and Tsukuba is still home too the fastest RB26 track machines, you have the fastest drag car that runs on methanol but HKS R33 ran on 110 drag gas! and times are very similar, so I am sorry........but he world still has some catch up too do
@rh9endless Im sorry m8 but the R32 GT-R's developed in 1991 and 1992 for the Tooheys 1000 (now bathurst) are still regarded the fastest and most sophisticated circuit r32 GT-R's ever built. Its even where the name godzilla came from. I mean i'm from NZ and willing to give the aussies that one.
Japan INVENTED the rb26. One of the only motors to be used consistantly for over 10 years in a performance car.
You have obviously never been over there. Go anywhere there; Osaka alone, you will see the Japs get more power out an RB than you could dream of. Reliably too, as in daily driver reliable.
Go and blow your mother before you talk shit about the RB26, and/or Japan.
Oh my goodness... at the takeoff since the car nearly skids in the beginning of the run, I would not even be able to manage control of this beast for 3 seconds, even if its just a straight track
@iansr33 still not something worth taking the risk on (it being an oil pump) whih is the GTRs weak link when you have some other products that are well know and have been under use world wide in many GTRs. They are not used in Japan so we havent seen them sorry, thats no to mean they are good or bad products just my personal opinion is this area already has some very good products that perform very well.......why reinvent the wheel?
@iansr33 Never seen or heard of it, its not made in Japan or available in Japan so we havent used it, GTR choice has too be tomei or new HKS as they are both very well proven
the veyron is shit on a race track because the weight distorbution is shit and dont say shit becuase a veyron does a quater mile in a 9.99 sec some of this badass skylines are running high 8s and low 8s so dont evencompare them there in totaly different leages this car is setup for drag if it wanted to own a veyron it would then be setup for track use u dicks and it would still get ownd
This Nissan Skyline R32 will comletely destroy a bugatti veyron for 1 the veyron is well too heavy and the skyline is better and nicer over all the veyron might be quick but the skyline can be quicker
Explain how the R32 is 'quicker' than the 2nd fastest production car in the world. Well, i guess maybe on a track the r32 would do better around the corners.
not to sound like an idiot which i probably do but what was that 2 step launch thing where u did rear wheel first then all wheel ive never seen an skyline do that in a drag before
Most people call it a dry hop. After the burn out to test the hook. I am not a big fan of them, good way to break some parts. Just extra stress on everything.
Yes, its a dry hop, Burnout to get tires and transmission fluid hot, dry hop to add a little more sticky rubber down to get traction and also make sure 4wd is engaged. i think in other countries where the track is alot better prepaired, then it causes many failures in the drive train line. In Japan our drag circuits are not prepped, so laying down rubber is the only way for people to get good times.
What tires, and sizes was this car on ? Did you get a 60 foot split time ? 1/8th mile time and speed ? The thing is pretty violent, and thats a good thing. Sounds super pissed off, which again is a good thing. Nothing like a pissed off high revving RB26 at full song.
car was running 2.0kgm boost, ran 9.3 @ 157mph. 2.3kg/m was desired but it wasnt to be as the HKS oil pump failed, since has been rebuilt with Tomei unit.
But we will dry sump the car if a customer woud like.
What's the go with the handbrake? I realize he uses it to launch but how come he doesn't have to hold it up, I would love to have that in my gtr?
Thanks

this gtr wouldnt do well on a track against a veyron

it would only destroy it in a drag race everywhere else the veyron would win

Ignorant as fuck are we i see. The Veyron is only ment for top speed its not a good track car cause its so DAMN HEAVY with poor weight distribution.

The HKS pump is a good pump, but the nice thing about the Tomei pump is the gear is nearly twice the size of the standard sized oil pumps.
tyndago 2 years ago
HKS now have a new oil pump, if flows more than tomei now, its the largest crank driven oil pump available

What do they call it ? I haven't heard of it.
