  • i want to put a 140mm on my coolIT Domino :(

  • Sweet mods nice it works with stock controller.

  • i have the same cooler and the temp on the cooler is always 5C higher than the probe on my motherboard. because the probe read the temp inside the processor so keep that in mind when buying a cpu cooler, i will not go that far but i will turn my fan to blow inside the case like the Corsair H50.

  • I dunno if this comment was directed to me, but I actually managed to break this cooler's pipe...watch my update videos and see what I mean.

I actually tried to remove the entire plastic shroud altogether, so it kinda looked like the H50 in a way, only the pump was sticking out.

To me, this cooler was not as idiot-proof as I thought, and trust me, I tend to break almost anything.

But you're right on one point, mobo temp probes aren't always accurate, and i think it's OS dependent too.

  • Also, blowing the air inside the case is a bad idea, unless you meant to blow it FROM the inside of the case, which would mean that you would set the fan to a push method instead of a pull method. Either way, if I wanted to buy a watercooler like this again (the H50), I'd get 2 really good fans and set it up with a push-pull method. And then I'd like to compare it against the Megahalem with the same push-pull setup :)

  • so are you seeing better temps or what?

  • For the moment, yes. But there are a few factors about that.

*Right now I'm back in school for the summer...and my room has AC...yummy :)

*That ASUS motherboard actually died...again! All of its DIMM slots went poopie, so I'm using an old ECS G31-M motherboard as a backup with only 1 9800GTX running...oh, the humanity!

Since the ECS can't overclock that much, I have my Q6600 at 2.67GHz on stock voltages (1.30V)

Temps on CPU Die so far:

    ~20C idle

    ~45C load (using IntelBurnTest v 2.1)

  • thats not bad lol. im using the AMD 7750 stock at 2.6 i can OC to 3.3 stable in game and everything and it runs around 40c load. but some of the new intels can OC to 4ghz and that on AIR!! lol if you go for a new setup and your looking for low wattage low temps but a lot of money go for that intel. if not get a quad core amd for like quarter of the price :)

  • Oh...and that's on the medium setting btw...I no longer need to run it at full speed :)

  • good vid

  • Why thank you, sir.

It's too bad this doesn't perform as well as my air cooler though. Check out my latest vid if you want.

  • nice dude! thanks!

  • No problem....glad it was helpful :)
