For the truth on the myth that a hummer is greener than a prius, google search "hummer vs. prius the truth" for the report done by The U.S. Dept. of Energy, Argonne Lab that shows the prius is 3 times greener, just in the manufacturing process. Once on the road, even better. Then research what vehicle has the worst resale value in the U.S. Hint: It ain't the Prius.

Yeah it is nice that gas is only $1.62...Oh, wait its gone up to $1.79 in just 3 days time!LOL like I care,I pay $30 a month to drive 1,000+ miles.When gas was $4.60 I still paid less than $90 a month for gas!So gas can go up and down it really doesn't mater cause I have a Prius.Its my wife's but I stopped driving my car cause it would cost $70 just to go 300 miles.Can't wait till next summer when gas gos up even higher or maybe it won't happen till the summer after that but it will happen again

It's funny how no one pays attention to current events. Yes gas is high and yes it will always go up, but gas will not be 7 to 10 dollars by January '09. Gas is always higher in the summer and it's already leveling off. To reach $8 oil would have to double to $300 per barrel. Even the most impressive predictions say $200 at the most.

Economists all agree that the current price is inflated and due to speculation in the marketplace. I predict $3.50 for Christmas.

I stick to cars b/c 9 out of 10 times that can smoke one of those heavy, dreadful, things driven by dumbasses. I should know b/c I reside in putrid North Carolina. I wouldn't mind owning an S.U.V. as a vehicle to use only once in a while. But for everyday use, I'd take a fuel efficient ricer. If you hardly drive it, you'd put gas every 2 weeks.

Good for you. At one point in time, I wanted a Hummer. Of course, I was not going to use it everyday. Now, because gas costs so much, I'd settle for a Prius too.
