@schlatton I agree with you! I was present at the Miss Universe which happened in Brazil, in Sao Paulo. One of the preparatory events took place on a samba school., I witnessed the awe of the contestants all over the world, when the samba drums starting roaring. Great!

Last week, I was able to join an event with Miss Universe in Sao Paulo, which is hosting the event this year. one of the events, took place in a samba school, and I could see what this "energy" did to the Miss nUniverse constestants...they were in pure amazement and awe! Not to mistake with the "tambourine" in English, which is totally different., It is a small drum, about 4-5 inches of skin. @treysquad The name of this band/ or Street carnival "Bloco" is called "Bangalafumenga". A funny name! They are very big here in Rio performing shows and at the parades. They play several kind of gigs, samba + mixture of Brazilian Music

@FunKCX Hello , no problem. This is Brazilian music played in a more of a samba style. There are many Street Carnival bands, ( check my site ) which plays this kind of sound, with strong percussion group. Sometimes there are even 100-200 samba percussionists at these bands/ called in Portuguese "Blocos de Carnaval". Hope Could help!
