NO... I think you all are missing the point. I saw a Huxley video and he says that overpopulation is a problem. He said that there is no Hidden force bringing us to socialism? LOLL What a joke! The zionists are controlling the Planet! The Khazar false-jewish. They are satanists and works with the freemasons and the rosicrucian to bring a New world order. Inform you about this subject... Go also check The Georgia Guidestones signed ''R.C'. He is promoting the new world order my friends...
It's about slowing down. I'm an internet junkie myself, but even the information I get here can't replace the experience of reading a book on a particular subject.
America, interestingly enough, was founded by individualists. It's wonderful to see modern expressions of an old idea. Consider, it as a philosophy didn't come into study till the 1830's. It has always been an aspect of human behaviour that has had tremendous effect on our development and cultures.
I might, though I think I get the concept and it's not a new one to me
It's a well known concern, but I think that Ayn Rand identified the source of the problem quite well: We are taught to take human achievement for granted, and so many of us become obsessed with mindless indulgences instead of pursuing true knowledge and appreciation for man's capacity to overcome challenges and create value

Seriously renting movies in public library is an insult to intellectual discourse and purpose of libraries.

Check out Max Stirner!
What I've been meaning to do is pick up one of those huge anthologies on individualist writings. America has a great tradition of it.

The best solution for the problems of TV?
Turn it off, turn it off for good and throw it away. You'd be surprised how much your mind clears up once you get rid of the idiot box.

Right on. There is better individualist stuff to read than Rand though. She's not that good. Many others have said the same thing.

Examples of "better individualist stuff to read than Rand"?
I haven't heard of any, but if you can give me names I'll check it out
