Additionally, they have a lot of benefits concerning medicare, mortgage and others. I came in US when I was 10 y/0 and travelled in and out of the country. Women do not belong at the front with male soldiers. If they want to serve they need to be in their own units. I have yet to find a male soldier that thinks it is a good idea to have women in their ranks and at the front.

As a former MP and female at that, Sgt Hester did her job and nothing more, as any MP will tell you. That she was able to follow instruction, put bullets down range while engaging the enemy and kick their asses is just the MP job. The Military Police produce such soldiers, Sgt Hester deserves the honor which she has been presented with. Yes, she did her job, most jobs I will remind you don't involve taking down a convoy ambush by insurgents with weapons and live ammo. Hooah.

By any measure her actions in the ambush were were fitting of the soldier she was. Do you think she got into the fight hoping to earn medals and commendations? If you have a beef with her getting a silver star, then your beef is with the brass, not the "twat".

the medal was given because its a woman. firstly, she didnot lead the assault. she just crouched next to sgt. timothy nein and was firing over his shoulder all the time. she couldnt even throw a grenade and handed it to nein. sure she sneaked in rounds on the target with a suppressive fire provided by the turret gunner who took out 11 insurgents in a single burst of fire. this is a ugly war where a 5foot5 leigh and 5 ft 2 ashley pullen (pussies) are used to kill.

Nein was also presented with the silver star...as was the 'trail' soldier following them both. It was not due to her gender, it was due to action in the direct line of enemy action. As an assistant squad leader she is not expected to lead the assualt unless her squad leader is out of action. Deal with it. On this we must agree to disagree.

A large number of people killed by IEDs are not US combatants, their intended targets, but turn out to be innocent Iraqis who suddenly found that someone put a bomb on their doorstep just cos Humvees use that route.

the turret gunner was down, with a fragments to his face, the armor of a hummvee is next to nothing but better than a jeep...and it wasn't just Hester...it was a team MP effort..as all MP efforts are, that's the way we are trained. Six soldiers were presented with medals for actions that day, two female, four male. TEAM effort.
