  • DiLorenzo ROCKS! He is unbiased and gives you the truth. I've read THE REAL LINCOLN and now am reading HAMILTON'S CURSE. Both are awesome and every American should REJECT the brainwashing we were spoonfed at school about history and EMBRACE the truth with speeches and books by Thomas DiLorenzo, Lew Rockwell, Tom Woods, Ron Paul and many other greats like Bruce Fein - his book American Empire I'm reading right now and it is brilliant!

  • I wonder what Dr. Dilorenzo thinks what a second Lincoln term would have looked like?

  • I would love to hear Dr. DiLorenzo's thoughts on the Lincoln Assasination conspericies. I would love to hear his thoughts on if the war could have been avoided if one of the other four men running in 1860 had won or if Fremont had won in 1856.

I would love to hear Dr. Dilorenzo on the comparison and contrast of Lincoln's America vs. Hitler's Germany.

  • @MikeSears100 The south would have seceded no matter which Republican won. Confederates hated Lincoln, but he was as pro-south as a Republican could have been at that time. They hated all Republicans. If Fremont had won, the civil war would have started in 1857. If Lincoln had lost, the war would have just been delayed another 4 years.

  • Even if you disagree with DiLorenzo, you have to admire his courage in questioning such a sacred cow as Lincoln.

  • The Mises Institute is awesome!

  • Learning here even more detail about Lincoln (I am not an American but have some knowledge of American history) I see that he is even more contemptible than I ever thought

  • @Strefanasha Take everything DiLorenzo says with a grain of salt. He's an economist, not an historian. His most egregious mistake is thinking that everyone in the early 19th century assumed that secession was a Constitutional right. If the states believed that they could secede whenever they wanted to, Rhode Island wouldn't have spent 2 years debating ratification. James Madison, the "father" of the Constitution, said, "The Constitution requires an adoption in toto, and for ever."

  • Ok, at the 8 minute mark, he tal;ks about Lincoln suspending Haebeus Corpus.

Hmm, what town is considered the Catholic headquarters of AMerica? Oh, Baltimore.

And where was it that Lincoln first suspended Haebeus Corpus?

Let's see here. Jefferson Davis, president of the South, was recieving letters of OPEN support from the Pope.

Lincoln had generals that were Catholic, who had some very peculiar bad tactics, costing the North great loses.

    hmmm

  • Wow, I haven't watched this video yet. I'm so excited to hear what this Jesuit, Dilorenzo, has to say about Lincoln.

Hmm, I wonder if his catholic sources are accurate, since, afterwall, it was proven that all the conspirators behind Lincoln's death were of catholic education.

Who cares what protestant men like Samuel Morse (inventor of Morse Code) had to say about Lincoln. Protestants are heretics. Thats why catholic Bishop Hughes had their Bible removed from all public schools.

  • Jesse Ventura and Ron Paul - 2012

  • It ain't happenin' Ventura is a Social liberal.

  • yeah but the constitution doesn't allow most things to be regulated at the federal level, so it wouldn't be that far-fetched. However, i don't think Ron Paul is running in 2012

  • Jesse in his book said he was Fiscal conservative. go read it :-) "Don't Start the Revolution Without me "

  • Fiscal Conservative and a Social Liberal. Ron Paul is a Conservative period, who endorsed Chuck Baldwin for President.

  • @BigOrangeTitan

    typical misrepresentation

  • Guess that's why Paul's endorsement for President (Baldwin) and Ventura are so often on the same page? After all, Ventura called Christians. "Weak minded people who seek strength in numbers."

  • anyone who believes in a higher being and doesnt accept the facts of science as a plausable reason as to why we are here and where we came from is weak minded...this doesnt include ALL christians though...but, still...the belief in a higher being period is rather weak.

  • is this at a university lecture? if so i'm kind of surprised that he would be able to get away with this. Seems like a smart guy though.

  • This is at the Mises Institute. Find it on google.

  • "surprised that he would be able to get away with this". I'm not attacking you, it is just the honesty in your post that I'm remarking on. The fact that all ideas are not welcome in a place of learning (such as a university)and open for discussion is evidence of the stupidity of our educational "system". I've always found it in my life that if I want recognition I get a degree. If I want to learn something I do it on my own with the help of carefully selected mentors.

  • @andrewl105 "get away" with what? Telling the truth?

  • @andrewl105 get away with what telling the truth?

  • Yeah...right! If only the South had won the war!

  • McCain, or Obama?

The Party of Lincoln, or the Party of Marx?

American liberty began with the Founding Fathers, and ended with Abraham Lincoln.

Truth is indeed a bitter pill.

At least, for those reared on myths, who must now come face-to-face with the reality of Lincoln's tyranny.

  • @Graymalkin2001

Not the party of Marx, the party of wilson, Truman and LBJ and the Wall Street Bankers--Marx has nothing to do with it except for a common love of moral expediency for one's respective goals.

  • @RPenta

"Moral expediency for one's respective goals?" And if the goal is the subjugation of one's liberty and personal responsibility, how is "morality" defined?

  • Wow, interesting stuff

  • Is this video broken into parts anywhere else? I keep having to leave and I keep losing my place, lol.

  • Go to mises dot org. Media. Dilorenzo.

  • That's a nice example of the mental infancy we're up against.

I will be deleting any further comments you make but will leave this one up for display.

  • We don't need 2...they do it themselves

  • how about someone try to clue the media into these ideas....they are demonizing ron paul for criticizing lincoln and the war

  • Actually it didn't stop there, it spread all over the world via socialism thanks to Amereican mecantile interference in US foreign policy.

  • The problem here is that he confuses national authority, with INTERNATIONAL SOVEREIGNTY between the individual states.

Abuses of national authority are open to debate; however if the states were protected by international sovereignty then Lincoln's actions were no different from those of Saddam Hussein invading Kuwait.

  • Wow, it's a close call, but it appears that Bush isn't the worst president ever, after all.

  • great arguments. great evidence. great conclusions

  • Excellent!

  • You should upload all his videos brother and you should do videos showing that the GOP and DNP are identical on all the issues including the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Marxist MLK Jr.

  • Great Video!!!

  • Nice vid. I've read half of DiLorenzo's first book, haven't picked up the second yet. He definitely shreds Lincoln, and rightfully so.

  • Are you talking about "The Real Lincoln". It's very refreshing to read a book that takes a moral point of view, which is also historically correct! The book was a pleasure to read.

  • That's the one. :)
