@TitanicMasta Both. If you're familiar with valve, they did the same with the game portal 2: they first simulated the physics (along with deforming shapes like metal canisters etc) and stored the information from the simulation in an animation. The animation is then just run in-game. Similar to this, it's an animation of simulated physics.

Well, the "physics" is to the extent the author was able to model it. There's always room for creative freedom of course ;-)
