  • Conquer your fears and scroll the fuck up again!

  • God watching him makes me want to be a serial killer lol

  • lol

  • thank you very much for telling us the beautiful song lecter is listen to!

  • 0:08 Jodie's portrait with the lamb. What a great movie!

  • is it wrong to seek out this video or click on it and watch it without context? When I clicked it here I thought it was a bit sadistic :D

  • such a waste of food :C

  • Oh man! They got so sloppy!!

  • It's almost bone chilling how well Hopkins plays this role

  • stunningly written in the book, stunningly executed in the movie.

  • @thatfilmgeekguy

Have you read the books? How are they? I just bought Hannibal.

  • @brightlights456X red dragon and silence of the lambs are absolute classics but hannibal and hannibal rising are definitely not as good. i was cerainly disappointed. so if you were going to read any, i'd recommend the first two.

  • @thatfilmgeekguy

I see. Thanks for the help.

  • the biggest fuck up in the moviehistory...I respected a cannibal.

  • The facial expression Hector makes while beating the shit out of a guard is exceptional. It shows the release of agony accumulated from his imprisonment, contempt for the guards for holding him, joy of freedom he has now secured, fun from the reversal of the positions, and pure sadistic pleasure. One of the most brilliant countenances in movie history.

  • @davidmjeong926 i couldnt have put it better myself....spot on David. best top 10 movie of all time

  • The best film ever. Everytime I watch this scene, my heart begins to beat faster and faster, you know what will happen, but still it's like you're watching it for the first time and it surprises you, it's brutal yet captivating. Dr Lecter, his face is menacing, the brutality he uses and the pleasure is there to see as he bludgeons Pembrys head!

Such evil, yet so calm and collective, I LOVE HIM!

  • @Kalsingh couldn't have said it better. bravo!

  • @Kalsingh oscar winning stuff Kal.

  • So where is this from? Sorry, idk

  • @Smile4theKillCam456

A movie called "Silence of the Lambs". Look it up, its a really good movie.

  • Well, Barney did warn Dr. Chilton this would happen. "They better pay attention," he said, "Dr. Lecter surely will."

  • @hegstad9 True that I always liked Barney he was the smart one LOL

  • Dont do like dad, dont become a corp, go to the university!

  • What is the song he listens to?

  • @ray0426jh

The Goldberg Variations, firstly the Aria, then the 7th Variation, by J. S. Bach (Lecter loves this piece, he listens to it several times throughout the books as well as the movies) : )

  • @gartnavel89

Thank you for that. You are a God send.

  • ready when you are, Sergeant Pembry.... kick ass line...

  • eww disgusting

  • damn. i wish i was as brilliant as hannibal lecter... except the part that he's a cannibal.

  • @XsammiechanX same thing here

  • @XsammiechanX umm and a psychopathic killer?

  • @XsammiechanX

So you don't mind being a murderer :D

  • @brightlights456X yeah, I'll kill all those who I hate in my life haha :D

  • @XsammiechanX

its the cannibal that makes you brilliant, dont knock it til you try it!

  • Awesommeeeeeee

  • The real part that got me was the look on his face after he bit the guys face and was killing Lt. Boyle and then went after Sgt. Pembry so casually after what he did to him, More proof that Hopkins is a great #$%$%^ actor LOL

  • Why not back away from the cell to gain distance and shoot him instead of moving in to the cell toward the danger?

  • Now I know why guards slide food trays through the slot in the cell door.

  • Comment removed

  • This scene and the ones after it where it explains the rest of his actions to escape is simply GENIOUS! It makes me wonder what goes on in the head of the writer.

  • @jessehardy Thomas Harris was asked by a reporter in an interview he gave in the 1980's roughly what you have just said yourself. Along the lines of "Does it take a monster to know one?" And guess what? He did not answer the question and has not did an interview since.......Whether the reporter is still alive, I could not say lol

  • Throughout the film Hopkins came across as so intelligent, sophisticated, and gentlemanly that you ask yourself "what is HE doing in THERE?" You forget the horrible crimes the characters describe because he is so charming and engrossing. Then this scene totally jolts you and you see the true monster that lurks beneath. You never know who is next to you on the bus.

  • Classic

  • Love how the scene opens so serenely.

  • Genuinely horrifying scene. Sense of dread and impending violence is almost unbearable. I think the movie would make my all-time top 5. But then again, there are so many great movies that to narrow it down to five would be impossible

  • 02:31 - Officer: "EAT ME is just a proverb!!!!!"

Hannibal: "I won´t stand on ceremony!"

    Officer: "OH SH....!!!!!!"

  • hmmm hannibal is really sick :)

    LIKE

  • what is the song 3:14? It is not the same of the beginning of the scene.

  • @jonhlock316 Check out the works of Johann Sebastian Bach - I remember them being used for the movie.

Sorry that I can´t be more helpful, but other music is more to my liking.

    Maybe this helps watch?v=ezCXoRWbraU

  • @jonhlock316 This is not a song, it is simply another Goldberg variation (Bach); at the beginning of the clip, you ear the first.

  • psychiatrist turned to psychiatric patient~so cool

love this movie~you should watch the second part also~Hannibal

    awesome psychiatric movie <3<3<3

  • i love this guy

  • +

they couldn't have chosen any other actor to play Hannibal other than Anthony Hopkins

he could beat the ass of Zac Efron(if not eathim, lol) together with the other pussy-actors that are, somehow, very famous nowadays

  • 1:01

    Damn!

He's in pretty sexy and good shape for being in his age

    (i'm a girl so don't worry)

i've seen many guys in his age that are a bit different

  • Well he is a Psychopath.....

  • this moive is so fake in real life in tx he would have beenn exectued

  • @limwang75 good thing it all happened in Tennessee........

  • @limwang75 This "moive" is not fake. People with mental illnesses are not executed or put into prisons. Acctually do think about your comment before writing it.

  • Message to all cops... check to see if there is a pin in your prisoner's hands before you chain him up!!!!

  • SMACZNEGO!

    Polacy są wszędzie!

  • He knew they were yokels, must have visited memphis before.

  • Yoh, he is magic, ey? He's the perfect villain, so chilled with what he does. If someone is infinately faster than him, it's like no stress cuz he's a ninja. He everywhere!

  • 4 people are ready when you are, doc

  • Hear the way he was breathing when he was smashing the guard with the knight stick? You could tell he was letting out his withdrawls of not killing for so long.

  • funny if he dropped the key :D

  • bacsilly oh well calyspo has returned well its geeral warthog the hog for the flesh well cna lte you at so here is your dakrest fish cant survie them bun in ell forever ty for playing twisted metla 2 .. hope you had a fun ride.. bye bye anhtong hopkins hope hell will be a good palce for

  • why didnt the guard on the floor (the chained one) used his gun ? ._.

  • @TheSimmus the guard was probably right handed and his right hand was chained to to the bar. plus the shock would have clouded his judgement (thats what i think)

  • @EkseteraEksetera and the second guard ?

  • @TheSimmus shock again? maybe....

  • @TheSimmus His holster is empty at that moment, because he gives all of his duty gear to his partner at 0:42.

  • In the real world noone gets seconds in jail.... especially cannibals

  • @Algonquin81 in the movie he was cooperating with police at the time to catch buffalo bill. so the police were giving him special treatment,

  • should have had one cop outside behind lector and one inside

  • that happens when police officers strole around the cell!

  • Hannibal Lecter inspired me to go into Psychiatry

  • why was jimmy just standing there not fighting back. yes the cage door hit u in the face. u fall back not stand there. someone bites ur face and u stand there. lector sprays you with mace and u stand there. WTF why are u STANDING THERE.

  • what the fuck? great guards they have. two gaurds and one man. so fail.

  • @heyitshorse One guard got handcuffed to the bars, the other one got got off-guard and took a can of mace to the face. It's no wonder Hannibal won, under those circumstances.

  • @37yen Yup, you can easily follow the mistakes they made: Boyle puts the tray on the floor when he should've handed it to Pembry - drew him too close to Hannibal. Pembry, around 2:20 is standing around TOO casually after pulling the key out of the lock, he should've been MUCH more alert & watching Hannibal the entire time. Both men had little respect for the mad genius they were dealing with.

  • @tommyt1971 ... quite right ! Barney held Hannibal for 6 years and never made a mistake. (Thre nurse incident happened when Barney was off duty) These two managed - nearly - 3 days. Barney told Dr. Chilton what would happen. When Dr. Chilton mentioned the transfer to Hannibal, the latter realized immediately he would be able to escape. "The police are used to criminals," Hannibal tought to himself, "they're not as smart as Barney."

  • I THINK HANNIBAL LECTER IS THE EVERYDAY MAN =D

I WANT TO BE LIKE HIM

  • @DigitalSniper18 So you want to be a cannibal who killed his one father, then ate him. After that became a psycopath that loves blood.......

  • @Handgun777

he didnt kill his father kid

  • @DigitalSniper18 Im NOT a kid! And Hannibal Lecter IS REAL and if you watch his interview he admits his father s death.

  • ready when u are sgt pamry

  • If you're dumb and deserve to die, then America would would pretty much be wiped out of people if they did.

  • If you're this dumb then you deserve to die

  • What type of mental illness did Hannibal have do you think? He certainly wasnt neurotypical. Also, what is that music playing? Its calming.

  • @MrForrest1991 Psychopathy, very likely. The music is Goldberg Variations by Bach.

  • why wouldn't they have better cops? these guys were not watching anything. and they didn't give him much of a fight. training...

  • If only i had the power i would send every cop to get a beating by haniball lector this includes women.

  • They really should have been more cautious. Only 2 cops? He eats people's faces- I think that warrants more security.

  • @oceanchick101 the building has over 50 cops in it. he escaped by wearing one of the guys faces.

  • @jackisback18 But there were only two people in the room with him and on his floor. All of the other cops were on the first floor by the elevator.

  • @oceanchick101 They never thought he had a means to escape his Cuffs, in Truth I blame Chilton for all those who were killed by Lecter when he mad his escape (Ironic since he broke the one rule that he told Starling never to break and thats bringing anything and I mean anything with you when your speaking to him especially in his Bloody #@##$% cell for goodness sake) Who else Agrees with me

  • Good Evening Gentlemen........................

  • @ActOfRandomChaos

Barney his prison guard was asked how did he survive all those years around Lecter and his reply was simply that he was civil to him.

  • This part scared the shit out of me. Imagine if you were that guard. You don't know what a man like Lecter is capable of or what he's going to do to you.

  • Comment removed

  • Interesting, the music seems to help him focus and maintain a relaxed composure while pick-locking the cuffs, and evidently after dispatching of the officers.

  • That was epic!

  • what a badass

  • is hot

  • RIP Charles Napier.

  • @ActOfRandomChaos He reminds me of Dorian Grey

  • Those lamb chops looked really delicious. What a waste...

  • @JELH Who needs lamb chops when you have people?

  • Comment removed

  • 2:30...how the hell does the guard find himself on the inside of the damn cage when Lecter just kicked the door in his face???

  • son of a bitch killed two annicent people

  • good evening, gentlemen...

  • MOMMY! MOMMY! MOMMY! are you in good hands? allstate....

  • i remember thinking this was the badest most awesomest movie ever till my mom told me hes real then she had her bf dress up like him and scare me at 3 am what great parents i have ey?

  • @juggalettetillidie1 thats actually pretty awesome

  • @juggalettetillidie1 man sounds funny!

  • @juggalettetillidie1 As long as you realize he isnt real.. the real Hannibal wasnt a cannibal like this but an Ancient ruler of the Cathanigian empire way back when.

  • The score is absolutely amazing.

  • @thecritiquevirtuoso Really? cause i'm in the mood for liver, with some fava beans and a NICE chianti! 'slurp' 'slurp' 'slurp' 'slurp' 'slurp'

  • No guns or anything?

  • @odysseasX Lecter is so cool he doesn't need to bring anything to a gun fight.

  • Now I want some lamb chops.

  • Classic movie escape

  • wyf? they dont have guns!!!!!!!!!!!! the other guy had 1 hand free!!!! and the other guy is just stupid!!!! god i guess its just movie

  • I love the paintings he drew of Clarice, It was so sweet :)

  • vrungt and vrangt.;)

  • and the "Bon Appétit" magazine...

  • love the way he said: Good evening gentlemen!

  • This doesn't diminish Hopkins or Foster or Levine. They're great. The movie holds up well.

  • This psychiatrist had dealt with many psychopaths. None were intelligent ,sophisticated, urbane and droll. For reality, look at Early Grace(Brad Pitt in ''Kalifornia'') and the Knoxxes(''Natural Born Killers'') and even Glenn Close's character in ''Fatal Attraction.'' The world,he maintained, would be a far more dangerous place if guys like Lecter actually existed. Real ones commit atrocities out of simple need, ignoring who might be in the way. Early kills a guy to get money for gas. Nothing fancy.

  • Wonderful movie and Hopkins is great;however, when ''Red Dragon'',the remake of ''Manhunter', was released,I think in 2001 or 2002,our local paper ran a story on an interview with a local forensic psychiatrist(I live in Halifax,Nova Scotia,Canada) who knew, obviously, what psychopaths and sociopaths were really like. Lecter,he pointed out,is pure fantasy. Such killers don't really exist. The real ones,he countered, were like Brad PItt's Early Grace, from ''Kalifornia,'' motivated by need, not madness.

  • when they died i said double kill lv up

  • That's quite a quick rendition in comparison with Gould's one.

  • quite genius this man

  • They are soo stupid! I would never turn my back against a man lika Hannibal.. I would point my gun to him the whole time!!

  • thats a kiss he wont forget

  • That's what happens when you forget the fava beans *slerp slerp slerp*

  • 3:14 his hand is not on the hand cuffs wtf wtf

  • You'd think a cannibalistic madman who is a complete genius would at the very LEAST be under constant camera surveillance. And, just a question, how did he get that pen when he was completely restrained when Dr. Chilton dropped it?

  • favourite scene in the movie! it's strangely beautiful thanks to Bach.

  • He ma lova

  • 1:02

    wow, he looks really masculine.

Anthony Hopkins is THE sexiest actor ever living on Earth(i'm a girl so don't worry), it will be a sad world when he's gone

  • what was the song whene he was killing the cops????

  • film??

  • @MRnightmuffin The Silence of the Lambs

an amazing film, u really should see it

  • love the little touch where he's scanning all around him for the penknife, lol wtf?

  • hannibal ..Hart ,aber herzlich

  • Estarrecedor...

  • Nice training these guards got... What do you do in the event of being bitten in the face? Scream like a girl and not fight back..

  • Damn...

  • @blodbotina I honestly hope you're joking. Hopkins' performance as Lecter is unmatched and just because your half-wit brain can't comprehend that doesn't mean you should complain about it.

  • @blodbotina Go back too watching you're lame ass predictable slashers.

  • @TheFaisalano I'd rather watch a slasher than this quasi-intelligent excuse of a movie. This movie's targetted audience are 15 year olds, they ought to be enthralled by this sick character Hannibal Lecter.

    lmao

  • @blodbotina Let me tell you, how many horror movies have such a unique villian?

  • @TheFaisalano Scream has a pretty unique villain as well, and it sucks.. I don't see a problem here. In fact, this is even worse.. much worse

  • @blodbotina

he's supposed to have the same facial expression, its part of the weird part he plays in this film.

  • @Gitts96 Oh I guess it's a part of his whole "weird" career then too? Or is he just a fat shitty actor. Especially in that film where he lives with gorillas and has "supernatural" strength and stuff, I hate that one the most...

  • @blodbotina

He's an incredible actor in my eyes and many others, I don't think you could've got a better actor for this film in my opinion! But hey think what you want, he's done pretty well seeing as he's a ''shitty actor'', being a famous millionaire and all that! If that's all it takes to get a star role in a film then why don't you give that a go and see if you can get as far as he has with his career (Y)

  • @Gitts96 Sure I will, I'll let you know when I get famous

  • @blodbotina

    fabulous!!

  • @blodbotina jesus. did you really go online on youtube and search hannibal lecter just so you could type these cruel things in. and hopkins is not fat. hes just small. and he is not a bad actor. thats just you who cant get it thru your head that not every single villan is supposed to be a skinny guy with 8packs. thats just a slasher. this movie is about sociopathic and psychopathic people.. and lecter is a carrecter who is supposed to be gentile and has a good manar. hopkins is perfect for this

  • I would love for the filmmakers to admit to the existence of that deleted scene where the guards all sit in the back room and draw straws to see who has to bring Lecter his dinner.

  • THAT PART SCARED THE SHIT OUT OF ME

  • 1:23 - Looks like Stewie Griffin

  • Hannibal Lectar. Not even 20 minutes on screen the entire movie and is terrified of by everyone. That is great acting. Anthony Hopkins was the perfect choice

  • lol dayum, those guards were pretty damn nice for guards too

  • How was he able to hide that thing on his mouth?!

  • @029Mhelz Remember earlier on when the psychiatrist is telling Dr. Lecter that he's been tricked and that there was no offer. The camera focuses quickly on the pen and then the psychiatrist later can't find his pen. I wondered at the time what the significance of that was and it was probably that he took something out of it to conceal it in his throat.

  • 2:14 Bon Appetit XD
