thats a hirobo chinook made in japan i have looked at hover copters web site and i defy anyone to tell me thats not a hirobo ch47 with a extra pod on the back i know ive got one
You're partially correct. Hover Copter is who designed and built the chassis for their kit. This exact model was one of the protype aircraft. The final version, that you have is a few inches smaller, as this is a .60 size and the Hirobo is a .50 size. It;s why it costs so much. Because about $500 for each kit sold goes to them for royalty fee's. Which, they use for r/c of military grade r/c surveillance aircraft.
I'm looking at a new AV-8 Harrier kit in final stages right now, turbine powered. Proto on VTOL in my vids. But the CH=47 here can be found at hovercopter[dot]com
How do the controls differ from a heli with a tail rotor? I'm probably going to start flying with the electric Blade CX and look at the Chinook when I have more experience.
It's manufactured by a company called Hover Copter. Another vid I have posted for an rc VTOL turbine jet is made by them. Their company specializes in aerial surveillance platforms. Hit up my site and you will find them in the links sections easily.
I'll bet that could could easily carry a video camera. Probably a camera and a bag of dry dog food- beautiful.

Chinooks are awesome but I wouldn't want one... I get so nervous just watching it skid around the turns... ugh imagine flying it...
