anybody who is afraid of 2012, remember all of the hype surrounding 2000/2001. nothing happened (until 9/11 and then the conspiracy theorists and doomsayers flew into high gear, saying that this or that fit with prophecy. they even named Saddam or Osama as the antichrist... well, now that both of those men have been dead for awhile, we see that they were wrong once again). heck even the iraq war ended and they said that was going to be the war of Armageddon. failed again.

and I remember the people who said that ROnald Reagan or John Paul II of all people, were the antichrist. both dead for years... now what? they're just wildly guessing, because they have a need for current events to match (their private interpretation) of the "end times" in Scripture. they need money and attention, so they jump to wild conclusions and twist scripture to get people to follow them. sad, really

Thanks for this thoughtful video. It was very balanced and Spirit pleasing. We need to speak the truth, but in love. It pains me to see so-called Christians almost tear this deluded man to pieces.

I must admit it's a temptation to unload 'both barrels' on this man. He has brought much scorn and disrepute to The Church (=all Christians). But, The World will scorn us anyway - comes with the territory.

We need to pray for him and all those who have been wounded by him.

i probably am wrong but when 1844 was predicted. something DID happen...i believe it was the beginning of the MODERN ERA (people who invented the telegraph would be astonished with the lightbulb in INTERNET!)...unfortunatly. sensitive people predict the second coming with it...same with 1988. what happened then was the iron curtain came down..ETC

@49jubilee There's a grain of truth in what you say. There are many Christians today who are very troubled in their spirits and were that way before this current economic crisis hit. I believe The Spirit warns us when trouble is on the way so we can prepare. Jesus wants us to be prepared for things.

When dates are given - it's non-Biblical - and people are harmed. We must speak against setting dates. People have lost their faith because of men like Camping. This is wrong. It's evil.

The success of false gospels is the result of the church to refute them, the souls of the misled are the rersponsibility of the church, until it accepts responsibility for the success of the enemies of the cross hosts of souls are lead away from eternal life who is Jesus Christ!

Same exact excuses and teachings of the Seventh Day Adventist pertaining tot the Great Disappointment of 1844 and of the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society pertaining to 1914! The devil tells the same lie through different people.

@CRoadwarrior, Love your ministry. Apologetics and political correctness seem to be at odds. I find in the church a rejection of apologetics, not one church in my community that I have brought up the issue of the importance of and how critical the need for apologetics have it been recieved but rejected. Most Chrisitans I have encountered believe that it is dangerous to study the arguments against their faith, the false gospels standing against it, the exact opposite is true, apologetic warrior!

@epidome Exactly! I think Christians should know what the non-Christian arguments are. Hang around an Atheist, Muslim, or Pagan board, for example. No need to fear - but it does help us be prepared to give a defense of The Gospel when we know what is being said.

Study The Bible and Christian Apologetics. Be open to what The Spirit is saying. We're warned that as time goes on many false teachers will arise & many listen. Have to be prepared for that lest we stumble.

Don't listen to anyone who claims to know the day it the hour. If they do, then right then and there you can be reassured that it won't happen. This world will not end in 2011, this world will not end in 2012, this world will not end in 20.. whatever. We have many many years to come, and there no need to worry about stuff like this. In the book of Matthew, Christ tells us to 'not worry' that it is even a sin to worry. Its in his hands and not Harold Campings.
