yea u know going to school for 12 years to become a doctor and saving people lives all day long without killing someone to do it isn't that great of an achievement, but you know not going to college at all and going into the army is pretty darn good achievement. Ive got news for you, its pretty easy to get into the army and i dont consider it an achievement unless u GRADUATE from annapolis or westpoint.
you could immediately go off to med school and live your life making lots of money in the safety of the USA, but you have not earned that safety. Whether you like it or not wars will always be fought by the young men and women of America. Sure most anyone can do it but few actually have the guts to stand up and fight for the freedoms that we take for granted. if you think achievements are tallied by paper, you need to wake up and get out of your little ego that you try to press onto others

i was in a real war, fighting a real army. This army took over most of europe. Yea, WW2, and after i got shot 3 times and hit by grenade shratnel, i realized how stupid it is to go to war. Then i became a doctor after i got back. Yea, i know its weird for a 75 year old man to be on utube

I'm glad they changed the slogan. I always hated the "Army of One" thing.
Anyway, I'm a reservist but wouldn't trade my experience in the military for anything. It has made me a better person in every way.
