@lamborghini478 Sorry, but no comparison. The Renegade has much more power and handles way better then the Scrambler. In fact the 500 Renegade will out run a 500 Scrambler.
@atvpt i was wondering why you took off the beadlocks that came with it? with that much power you dont want to have the tires come off the rim in a pinch situation also is thre 2012 renegade 800 x xc going to be slower than the 2011 800x xc because it i heavier but doesnt have any more power.
I do product reviews on tires & wheels. This allows me to try different wheel tire combo's on the atv's I am reviewing to see how well they perform. Some of the DWT wheels I run are beadlocks.
I will let you know if there is a difference in the speeds between the 2 Renegades if I get a chance to run the 2012 Model, but most likely I will be running the 1000Xxc Renegade.
@atvpt Well that makes sense i would try different things too! and now knowing that how do you like the grim reapers? What would your #1 all terrain tire be for the renegade 800x xc that wouldn't be too heavy. I ride the hatfield mccoy trails so theres some of everything but would mostly be rocks and hill climbs and lose terrain but want to have a sturdy tire but not too heavy thanks!
@infiniteloop99 I like both, and have both the Raptor and the Reni. Some prefer the Raptor and some the Reni. It comes down to personal likes when you choose a machine for riding, and the dunes are a specialty riding area. Are you going to just ride the dunes or do trail too?
@infiniteloop99 My choice would be the Can-Am renegade X, or the Cam Outlander XC, but you should try and ride both before you make your decision. You may ride the raptor and think it is the cat's meow, and maybe you will feel the same about the Can-Am.
The big thing is most dealers will let you test drive their machines if they know you are serious about making a purchase decision.
@atvpt Yea i just realized how much other videos you have. Keep it up there really good. I think instead of buying the Outlander though I'm going to look into the Commander 1000 X. It's a little more but I already have an amazing four wheeler.
I have the Outlander 800 Xxc right now, but we are presently doing a small build project on it. When we get the project done we will shoot a video of it in action, and I think you guys will enjoy what we are doing to it :)
@atvpt Yea the Outlander was my second choice I just thought the renegade would better fit me since I don't do a lot of deep mudding. Plus the renegade looks sharp.
Good video. I own one of these as well just purchased mine a week ago and I'm loving it. I have the 2011 model though no big difference. I am also glad I paid the extra cash for the XXC model. How do you like it?
I loved mine. I have had a few Renegades since they came out. The Xxc being the best of the best. You can't beat the suspension set up on it. I know you will love riding this machine.
I am on to reviewing the 2011 Can-Am Outlander 800 Xxc now. I am currently doing a light project build on it.
They perform awesome. They ride great, work well in any terrain, and they wear like iron. I have a couple of sets that I have been running on and off for a couple of years with absolutely no issues. They work excellent in snow. I would say give them a try, you will like them.
@atvpt awesome....i just got a sportsman 850xp last weekend and im wanting to go with a 26" tire...i was stuck between bighorn 2.0s or grim reapers. it sounds like the reapers are the way to go. a buddy of mine has them on a polaris ranger and they do great.
Love this quad but it's a little on the pricy side. Almost 15,000 for this model. Maybe one day I'll give up my raptor 700 for this but great review anyways
It is one of my most favorite atv's from Can-Am. I am sure you will love it. I have the review in our web site & forum too, if you would like to check it out.
The 2010 model has a quicker engagement and seems to work excellent in climbing over rocks. keep in mind when you have the power steering set at max, rock climbing seems effortless anyway.
Great video....great. This is the type of riding I'm going to be doin so I was excited to watch it. If you don't mind me askin, how much did you get your gade for?
are they like the polaris scrambler 500

GBC Grim Reapers, or the Pit Bull Growlers are my favorite tires for the Renegade. The Pit Bull Growlers work excellent on wet & rocky terrain.

Should I get this or the raptor 700 for sand dunes ?

Definitely my choice for the Commander would be the X Model. It is by far the best handling of the group, plus it has some really cool options.
