  • Ok the reporter says Ghana has exorbitant hotel rates but the white tourist he interviews says the rates are the same everywhere he's been throughout Africa except South Africa.

    Poor report.

  • not much to ghana except coastlines and historical castles? wonder what the reporter was smoking. Ghana has the longest canopy walkway, the largest artificial lake, reserve parks and safaris, paragliding mountains, waterfalls, rich cultural meseums, parks and gardens like aburi, etc. Ghana has half Kenya's population yet Ghana's production (GDP) is higher than that of Kenya, lol dont make me laugh

  • @giftybumpa12 I agree but maybe in the next 5 years

  • I agree with giftybumpa12 if you want to invest in Ghana do it now i have and i have seen an 80% return on my investment since 2008. And with GDP at 23% and low inflation it can only get better within the next 5 years people will be felling over each other to invest in Ghana. Biggest problem infrastructure but they are working on it.

  • this reporter is a joke! and what does Kenya have to show? Is only popular cuz it has been traditionally the "safari country" and now the pervets from the west have turned it into a "sex country"

  • @bretuobay I agree keep the western perverts out of Ghana

  • @fabs1979 True

  • @fabs1979 ok i get your point. I however admire the way a local Kenyan station explores a scope wider than Kenya alone(not to justify their act). Ghanaian TV ought to do better than covering local issues only or borrowing footage from CNN for international news.

  • @firari1cars I agree, it's good that African countries do not rely on foreign news and aim to cover fellow African countries, which is positive. However we need to avoid a situation where the "crab mentality" starts to come through and we start to dimiss any other African countries.

  • So strange, both managers are Kenyans and the director is also not from Ghana. Why doesn't the hotel employ local skills?

  • This was potentially an interesting report until your reporter made some ignorant comment at the end. Ghana with nothing much to see?!! Please do your job properly and actually do some research. Elmina and Cape Coast Castles, Kumasi (Ashanti cultural heritage), Aburi Gardens, Mole National Park, Kakum, Lake Volta, Wli Falls...countless festivals during the year. If you are going to report and dimiss another African country then base it on facts and not opinions.

  • @fabs1979 I've lived in Ghana for six years now and in Kenya for four. Ghana's tourism is nothing compared to Kenya with all due respect. The resources in Ghana could be used much more profitably to benefit Ghanaians. Although Kenya's tourism is not the best, it has much more tourism businesses and sites compared to Ghana.

  • @firari1cars That's not my point. Ghana tourism is not going to compare to Kenya at this stage, of course not. My issue is that the reporter dismissed Ghana as having nothing more than slave castles and white beaches...this is lazy and factually incorrect. It's like me dismissing Kenya's football history as being non existant and pointless in comparison to Ghana.

  • @fabs1979 Main problem of Ghana to attract tourist is luck of tourist visa,,Ghana got only visa to vistors who have got relatives or close friends,,It is only for visitors visa not tourist,,visitors must have at least 2 references, tel numbers, addresses,,If a tourists never been in Ghana how he will find references?many foreigners try to find froends on internet, they pay money for help and most cases was a scam,,Ghana is not a Mexico where tourists can freely come, check vis to Mexico?

  • PLz kenya tourisme is dead, now u only find sex tourisme in kenya, majority of kenya woman are becoming prositutes to old fat whiteman and whites pedophile are after children, stop this useless bizness, try to make money in other sector,CZ of corruption the creation is dead.they only want fast useless money..where a minister have a salary of 7500 dollars by month,so what the rest of population will eat???ofcourse gouvernement is selling the population to keep their salary. AFRICA!!!!! 6666

  • nice n quiet...for beach boys pests; hawking drugs and sex perverts arrive in da Hakuna Matata world!

  • I was really impressed by the Ghanian president fighting corruption. Search angry ghana president.

  • ala kwani ghana is getting all the hot tourists?nikiangalia clips frm kenyaz beaches i only see fat old european women and men.

  • @madscientistify cos these fat europeans know gullible Kenyans with no dignity they will go for them. See the old wazunyes that go to Kenya and come back with a hot young looking Kenyan chic.
