  • Wow, I was right there with you guys. Inasmuch as I don't live in a part of the U.S.that has too many tornadoes. But that was intense. Thanks for uploading. Great for non-locals to experience your unique part of the world and appreciate the intensity and diversity of nature. I'm so glad y'all made it through. Life is a gift -- as I imagine y'all have come to realize. Oh man, when I heard those youngins crying out I just wanted to hug every last one. So glad they're OK. Great vid.

  • God created that tornado. Praying won' t do shit you ignorant fucks.

  • @SirAlfredSourcock how would u feel if that happened to and yes god did but there praying that they will be okay got it selfish

  • WOW, I hate to see this happen to the people of Joplin, I wish I was watching some other video now, in other words, I wish this had never happened to them

  • How is it possible that tornado lasts this long in one place! This is incomprehensible horror. This is impossible to imagine.

  • Mate, I don't know much, but I do know this:Assholes will always be assholes and decent people are just that. Making blanket statements about other people and their beliefs is pretty ignorant. When you start throwing stones at other people you have to expect stones to be thrown back at you. It's your choice to believe whatever you want and live your life according to your beliefs. That does not give you the right to consider others less worthy.

  • sweet reupload douchebag

  • Couldn't imagine! These people are pretty lucky... Even if they were a mile away from the actual tornado!

  • Wow thank God everyone was okay.

  • i love the guys who love everyone. I love you. we're good we're ok. The world needs more of these kind of people. I love it. I wish all the love to the people of joplin.

  • @SuperDinoSandy god is not real buddy, He is a man made idea to keep people in control.

  • @fargone164 Bro... Let people believe what they want! Nobody's trying to tell you your wrong. It's probably pretty nice to have something to believe! Instead of nothing... Huh?

  • what were those people in

  • I think I just cried a river :(

  • Jeezuss? Nope, dumb luck.

  • ARE U ALL OK?

  • @1creolina yes

  • Where is this? In a store? or a house?

  • r u all still alive

  • @thehedi2001 everyone is okay, this video was stolen. Everyone made it out okay.

  • @SuperDinoSandy But god does control the weather. He uses things like these as a test of people faith in him. He also uses it to show the world what we are capable of after things like this.

  • lol@religious idiots..

  • @SuperDinoSandy read the damn bible

  • @classicalcocacola But it's soooooooo boring

  • @greatspeler its not supposed to be exciting, its supposed to teach you.

  • @greatspeler well learn how to read and it wont be so boring

  • @SuperDinoSandy Wait, so God created everything except bad weather? LOL yeah, let's blame science for how the world actually works.

  • GOD WAS WITH YOU THAT DAY

  • They survived the twister in a freezer :O

  • This isn't the person who was doing the filming... They took the original video of the person who recorded it on their phone and reposted it...

  • i live in new york city dont really gotta worry about this type of weather, but wow this is scary i am glad you are safe

  • The tornado that hit Me was not as strong as this one. I was luck y enough to be in a steel-reinforced, concrete freezer locker when it hit. I felt the floors and walls rumbling and the heard the most frightening noises go on forever. I was only 10 years old, we were all strangers huddled together, we were praying as the building was ripped apart around us. I will NEVER get over it! Hearing this video is like reliving it! I'm shaking. I'm about to cry, I don't cry!!!

  • My heart is still pounding!!! Thank god yall were safe.

  • Were ya'll down in a basement or cellar if neither then thank God ya'll were safe

  • First of all my condolences, it must be horrible to be there yet lcuky to be alive. My question is concerning the weather and the nuclear accident in Fukushima. I have never heard a government official or any nuclear phycisist or meteorologist explain exactly what happens when all of that radiation gets in our atmosphere and does it have the capability to create supercells and tornados? Radiated steam clouds, how does the earth naturally degrade them and how long is that process?

  • If id been in their id jus have died of all the hysteria cause i mean it must have been gut renching hearing all that glass sucked out I was in a gas station (not this one) but we didnt huddle together cause it was bout over. But when we stepped out our new mission was to try an get home well wht was left of it What should have taken 15 minutes took us 2 hours to get to what we had left :( Not noing who all was still alive was the scariest part for me I thought i lost all my friends

  • i agree with u mattmatt5

  • @SuperDinoSandy What about the people who died? Why didnt your god save them? Were they of a different religious belief than yours? Must have been

  • Is this the new Blair Witch trailer or something?

  • I feel so so bad for them especially when she says I love you my whole family has been in Tulsa for over 36 years andnever seen one so I feel SO BAD! Not that I want onto happen!

  • i was alone at 17th and connecticut, never did i cry or scream, i was too scared that i was gonn die,,,but this video is so goood

  • when u here a little girl crying for her mother thats powerful...mother love is a mother love...even if u don't believe in god or not.....GOD BLESS

  • my heart goes out to the kid telling his/her mommy I LOVE YOU at 5

:15. Kids shouldnt have to go through this s**t.

  • my heart goes out to the kid telling his/her mommy I LOVE YOU at 6:15. Kids shouldnt have to go through this s**t.

  • 1:03 get away from the fucking window

  • Are you guys ok

  • Oh man!!!! Thats crazy. Yall were right in it. That was a good video just to listen to. Way to stay with each other and help each other out

  • I hope I will never have to experience such a horrible storm.

I got goose bumps while watching this video.

  • @donkimsnelson1 where you there?women saying heavenly jesus.

  • @yvonnespearing no i was not but JESUS WAS ............... THANK YOU JESUS AND SOFTEN THI PERSONS HESRT

  • stolen video ?.. :/

  • One thing that makes me sick is people that do not beleive in any God, who sit at home completely comfortable eating potato chips on their mom and dad's couch. And criticize others who enact their faith when faced with certain death. I went on disaster releif mission with the TSM, and guess who is doing the most good there? The church. Not one atheist humanitarian group was there working in the hot sun. Just Patriots and Saints. And that, gentlemen, is a plain cold fact.

  • @alielbaryeshua What makes me sick is that you think atheists aren't contributing to society. There were PLENTY of atheists that I am aware of that donate to Red Cross and other charities, but no, make us look like freaks.

  • @alielbaryeshua There are plenty of atheists working for aid and relief organizations. They consider their beliefs personal and generally keep them quiet. They don't form religious organizations that noisily beat their drum to let everyone know how much 'good' they do for everyone else. They also don't take from the poor, vulnerable and impressionable to enrich themselves, accumulate material wealth for their leaders and build ostentatious places of worship, whilst indulging in sanctimony.

  • @bannol1 Yes, there are plenty. But most are selfish and self-serving, dont care or value human life when it doesnt profit them, mass exterminate entire populations (hitler/moa se tung) whome they deem as undesirable, and criticise others of their religious beleifs and call religion ignorent and primitive. These same people have an elitest attitude and force their will upon others through use of the courts with properly allocated money.

And I'm sure this arguement can go on forever, so stop.

  • @alielbaryeshua Pardon me for asking, but are you talking about religious people?

  • @bannol1 You know who I'm talking about. I spent my own money, ate my own food, and worked with my own hands in Joplin 1 week after the tornado! Everyone I saw out there helping were either part of a religious group or a religious charity. The atheists, however, were much to busy looting the homes of the deceased and taking cross-country road trips to do it. You obviously werent there.

Please provide video evidence where you(atheist) went to Joplin out of the kindness of your heart.

  • what was the address of the gas station was in on rangeline going towards the mall?

  • My Grandmother survived an F-4 tornado in 1953 in San Angelo, Texas. She was buried in the rubble that used to be her home but was rescued afterwards uninjured. She was understandably terrified of severe thunderstorms for the rest of her life. She refused to live anywhere that did not have a storm cellar, period. This video really hit home for me because she always tried to describe what the sound was like . The sound in this video has to be similar to what she heard and it is terrifying.

  • awww you can just hear the agony I feel soo bad for everyone! My prayers are with you guys!

  • Hey good people, I wrote a song about the trip I took to Joplin From Illinois with my church to help out if you wanna check it out. Just type in Trace King - Hope if you would like to listen to it.

  • @IGLECIAELREFUGIO will do, compadre.

  • Nice stolen video

  • @IGLECIAELREFUGIO dude, what does my gardiner have to do with anything? Jesus R. Sanchez is a good man. He's got his green card.

  • @717rch ....my mexicans work cheaper than yours.

  • You people who believe in HAARP need a brain exam!

  • Some of you morons who make rude comments here are total idiots. This is a weather pattern and there can be many different types of weather patterns! Just pray for all of the people affected by these monsters.

  • Superdinosandy is a fucking idiot

  • SHoot, they was like in the high-end EF5 zone. Basically 13th to 32rd streets...

  • @Bookof1998 who died and made you fujita?

  • Does someone fly past the camera at 3:10???

  • @Michael425x yeah, yur mom.

  • I'm glad these people were alright. this one really hit my heart. a lot of fear.

  • @xsuexkilla true, I've been in a tornado before didn't hear it...

  • You don't have to say "I Love You Man" to get their Bud Light! For christ sake, you're in a cooler full of beer!

  • its not nature u scary its OMG NATURE U TERRIFYING

  • Lord bless them all!!!

  • That was one of the most intense videos I have ever seen.

  • wait it hit twice? does that mean they were inside the middle of it for a while and it was calm in the center???

  • The original video, which also links to a follow-up showing the building after the tornado: watch?v=cQnvxJZucds&

  • How uncomforting atheists can be. People are facing eternity and declaring and understanding their love for one another. I'm glad these people understood what and who they are. They were a lovely comfort to one another and exhibited amazing strength. I love whoever made this video. He's something special. God help & bless the people of Joplin. We love you. If we can help in any way send us a message.

  • @jesusp214...the world will end, just not anytime soon. Eventually our sun will swallow the Earth, but that won't happen for a few billion years. We will definitely be long gone by then.

  • for does that think the world is going to end, well got good new for yah the world is not going to end, but the people will, and the world (earth) will still be here there will be another generation of some other kine of living, first was dinosaurs, then there was big big people then lil people, then us humans, now it will be another kine of living.....

  • hey YouTube friends, yah need to watch this movie called THE MIST it has a good massage at the end.

  • I've been told tornados sound like a freight train. Adults don't know shit. That doesn't sound like a freight train to me.

  • @KneegrowNinja07 Its really hard to hear it through a camera man. All you hear is kNSKSJKJSDSDSDJK. It's winds up to 200 mph.

  • first of all i want to thx this person who video tape this horrified moment that change my life for ever. just by watching this video clip i feel on my knees and ask jesus for forgiveness and to come in to my life. god is good and ill keep yah in my prayers, to the lost and to the survivals... this video has open my eyes now i can see in the name of jesus Chris

  • This is the most terrifying effing video I've ever seen. I had an EF-0 or EF-1 go over my head today and was terrified, but THIS...this captures the terror for SIX MINUTES!

  • Gosh this is just horrible now i feel there pain and i would be so scared if i was in that. God bless for those people in joplin. I hope everyone is ok

  • She said the most important name that EVERY and ANY evil things bows down to and that is the name of "JESUS"! and is why they survived. Everything bows to the name of Jesus Christ. The living, the dead everything that heavenly Father God created in this world is ordered to bow to the name of Jesus including demons, devils and ALL evil. Thank God for this lady who audibly declared his

    name to keep everyone alive..

  • @Sakura52296 That's the dumpest and most ignorant thing to say!! So what you're implying is that those people who died in the tornado didn't bow to the name of jesus? You should think before making stupid comments. Maybe you should lay of the bible and read more into educational books.

  • @jaydogg321 well lets see... with my 9th grade education and my ability to read i was able to deduce(mighty big word i know) that this was for comments that had to do with the experience these people endured as the tornado was tearing shit up around them...and somehow it had gotten confused by some as a religious debate forum. and if u want to call someone dumb at least learn how to spell it otherwise no one will ever take u serious.

  • @leadpoisoned73 LOL calling me out on a typo? Is that all you got. Didn't your mother ever teach you to speak only when spoken to??

  • Unless your a scientist who is trying to get funding for global warming research. Then you fudge the data to get the funding or better yet help contribute to the every growing global warming-green earth industry.

  • Thank you for sharing this terrifying video.

Did the tornado hit the place two time ?

  • Thanks for uploading!

  • Praying for everyone

  • How terrifying! This is so heartbreaking! Praying fir everyone in Joplin!

  • When one person suffers from a delusion, it is called insanity. When many people suffer from a delusion it is called Religion.

Organised religion is violent, irrational, intolerant, allied to racism, tribalism, and bigotry, invested in ignorance and hostile to free inquiry, contemptuous of women and coercive toward children."

  • We all live at the mercy of Mother Nature.

    Be reminded.

  • man, i cant stop watching this video. for some reason, i need to know what its like to be in a tornado. its some kind of need. im probably not right in the head but damn, that is some scary shit.

  • I do agree with you Keith77155 about this being nature taking its course but... Satin is the cause of death.

  • @musicman6798 "Satin is the cause of death"

along with cotton and velvet. Next wool is going to have an uprising too.

Hard to take you seriously if you dont even know how to spell satan

  • @AlSwearengen15 Sorry for the typo.

  • Oh my god, I watched the whole video, and I can see nothing it was some what silence and a few talking and then I heard the tornado hit the place and people and kids were crying, screaming and I just wanted to cry out to you guys, the Tornado nearly hit Topeka, KS on 5/22/11 and it skipped us, I am so sorry for you Joplin people the video I felt so sorry for you all. I was scared, I wanted to cry, I wanted to be there in Joplin helping you all with the damages trying to find people.

  • Watchign this video has to be one of the scaryiest 5:50 of my life!

  • This is nature at its worst! Even though I was not there I do share the pain with all of those who were. I'm so sorry and will keep in prayers those who have died and their families who are grieving, as well those who survived and are in reconstruction of what once they had.

  • OMG!!! this is horrible!! I feel for these ppl:(

  • research HAARP

  • At times like these, Prayer is all some people have left so let them have it no matter what your beliefs are.

  • Just a kind warning: if you have survived a tornado and it caused you post-traumatic stress, you DO NOT want to watch this. it is very scary towards 3 minute mark with people screaming for their life. No one dies but it is guy wrenching. You've been warned

  • this scared the living crap out of me. man, i feel so bad for people that do die in these things. the moments before their death, is pure hell. i hope they are at peace.

  • Saw you guys on CNN! You did a great job. How you stayed calm is beyond me. I live in Joplin and where I am we got no damage. Didn't hardly hear it. We were the lucky ones. Again, great job!

  • THANK YOU for capturing & sharing this moment while your own lives were in great peril. You all are tremendous examples of human courage, calm and spiritual conviction ... we can all learn from your perseverance through such a horrific crisis.

  • @Knafo311 if you dont like our religious views then dont comment!

  • Science is actually one of the most moral, one of the most honest disciplines around — because science would completely collapse if it weren't for a scrupulous adherence to honesty in the reporting of evidence

  • @creativereinvestor No offense mate, but scientists are fallible humans too. Its pretty routine to exaggerate findings or lie to get funding.

  • @creativereinvestor Science is moral Evolution is not.

  • @creativereinvestor You are incorrect. Reporting is the easiest component of science with which to apply honest objectivity. There are so many other elements to "science" all of which are affected by the individual. Scientists should be "religious" in adhering to method, of course, but science is flawed by human traits and therefore should not be a religion.

  • Earth has existed for almost 4.5 billion years. Only 2000 years ago God just said: Wait minute these guys in Jerusalem are having too much fun, hmmm let me give them a lesson. Ok guys here is a study guide (Bible) for you to enter heaven. Human: Why only us? how about people in Africa or China or Native Americans? God: Why you are asking too many questions? I will take care of them later.

  • when humanity was made up of tribes primarily, because science was not present, humans had no choice about what to believe. They saw the sun in the sky and the only explanation they had was a sun god. Just like the bible, science was barely there, and explanation led again to a god idea, because of the creativity and pathetic genius of the human mind. Now science is here, and because of the mountains of evidence we now have, we can forget our god/gods fantasy past.

  • How can we discuss logic and rationality with people whose source of ''information'' is a fictional book with talking snakes, zombies, miracles, angels and humans who lived up to the age of 900? it is a lost cause. we might as well sit back and mock them, that's all we can do against mass-delusion.

  • @creative investor - You are correct Sir, it is impossible to discuss such reasoning to those who choose to comfort such delusions and superstition and clearly refuse such logic that is available to all who chooses to explore other possibilities than a book of "faith". Such attempts are a "lost cause" and I find it very sad.

  • @creativereinvestor You must be one unhappy human being....obviously bent on sharing your despair with anyone you communicate with. Of all the videos to log onto...to spew your anti-God rhetoric, one would think that basic human decency would give you pause from doing it on this one: a video with a little child crying out for sheer terror, along with terrified adults in the midst of a natural disaster...but no, you Atheists have absolutely no tact...I have no choice...I'll pray 4u

  • This is such an emotionally impacting video, listening to the desperation of these people (especially the children). Very pleased that they were all survivors.

  • people need to stop blaming God for all thats happing it's the devil that cause's this. God don't want to hurt anyone he loves us for he created us. So, I agree that it looks like the time is coming that Jesus will be coming back. But until the devil is destroyed for good things like this will keep happing ... But god causing this no not at all.

  • @Keith77155 Things like this will keep happening for as long as earth has an atmosphere. People need to stop blaming god AND the Devil for things like this because it's a natural phenomena, not a supernatural event.

  • @Knafo311 This was caused by HAARP

  • @Knafo311 - Well said.

  • @Knafo311

God and the Devil can't be blamed because neither of them exist. Like you said, this is due to natural phenomena.

  • @Knafo311 there are no atheists in foxholes

  • @greenpilgrim50 or on crashing planes either

  • @Knafo311

Hate to say it, but God created science for us to use to discover new things. Go read the Book of Job, the King James Version because the NIV is a screwed up copy, and read the 82 questions God asked Job to change his attitude. Some were quite scientific.

An example: Job 38:16 says, ""Hast thou entered into the springs of the sea?"" This book was written at least 3000 years ago. How did anybody at that time know there were springs in the sea at that time, that is if man wrote it? :)

  • @Knafo311

Another great example would be Job 38:24, "By what way is the light parted, which scattereth the east wind upon the earth?" Did you know scientists RECENTLY discovered the underwater springs in the oceans and the fact that the sun is a factor for causing wind currents? Tell me how this is found in this book (3000 years old at least) when mankind wrote it. I thought prehistoric man was stupid, lived in caves, and evolved?

  • @Knafo311

I just have one last comment. Neither God nor the Devil control the weather patterns. The American government has created a machine that can control the weather and cause earthquakes; its called HAARP, and you can research it yourself if you don't believe me. They can use this device to create various natural events of catastrophic proportions, and the Japanese Tsunami is one of them.

  • @1Venom859 Apparently god created ignorant people as well...

  • @Knafo311

No. People learn from idiots like you and tend to think that ignorance and pride are the way to go. Besides, you're one to talk in regards to ignorance. If I were ignorant, I wouldn't have given you the option (so to speak because most ignorant people don't even give references) of researching the HAARP project.

  • @Keith77155 so u dont think the Devil has somthing to do with it at all? and what if God allowed the Devil to do this to test the connection between the poeple in the town, state, or even country.to show us to have faith and to not worry about the worldly this and that all we need is him, that if we hold to getherhave faith and dont worry that God will take care of everything.

  • @Knafo311 This Tornado or one similar like it has never happened before and if it has it likely hasn't happened for over a century now that in itself is one thing but now take the worldwide floods famines earthquakes volcanoes into effect and you have a problem.

  • @Keith77155 I agree :). The devil is on his way to hell, and he's trying to bring us with him. sadley some people make dumb decissions and they sell them selves out to the devil. The devil is EVIL.

  • @FANTOMTRON - Good Grief!

  • @Keith77155 - I know that God judged the earth in the Noah days and Sodom and Gomorah

for the great sin that was going on. Don't know too much about Joplin Missouri and what they could have

been doing that may have displeased God. It is written, God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow.

How he judged then, I suppose he judges the same now. I know that the bible teaches that the devil

has to get permission from God to pull something like this as in the book of Job.

  • a men

  • this is horror!!

  • It's terrible that the comments have turned into religious preaching. Can we just admire the power of nature and the sounds of an f5 tornado? ffs.

  • @MattsMisc I have to agree, there seemed to be too much panic...in the dark, an unhealthy combination...add to that remaining quiet would have allowed for the Doppler effect to be heard. Flash lights would have reduced panic significantly.

  • @MattsMisc It's not religious preaching, it's the truth that will set you free. You just don't know yet and hopefully soon you will. God created nature. It's Heavenly Father God's power who allows evil to occur for only God

knows why. One can assume sin or disobedience involved because God is a Holy God and it could be

that enough is enough sin going on around this world. Time to get right or get left.

  • It is impossible to survive the direct hit of an F5 tornado. But these people survived. I cannot help but believe the reason for this miracle can be attributed to the prayers of the woman.

  • @zyle1972 - Your absolutely right. Her call out to Heavenly Father God in her Faith and again using his son's

name, the Name of Jesus, her God who lives in her spirit and is to return to judge All mankind. Five hundred percent is what saved them.

  • Don't get me wrong , I would be scared too, But when You have faith on something that is invisible is total nonsense , " Gods actions " don't make sense at all, people love drama , including myself sometimes, no God saved the Jews from the Holocaust, No god saved The japaneses from the nuclear attacks in Hiroshima and nagasaki, The only people you can count is yoyrself , Your family&friends and sometimes the firemen&police...

  • @creativereinvestor If you have not accepted Jesus into your heart, of course, it all doesn't make sense. How can anyone have faith in something they can't see? Well my friend God is invisible. You can't explain it. But for 1,000s of years great men, knowledgeable, well-versed men, even many of our founding fathers of this nation have come to believe in the name of Jesus. Basically, you have to use the right organ to know who God is. Your human spirit is the organ you need to use to discern God.

  • Comment removed

  • @creativereinvestor yeah well maybe ur wrong cuz do you not fail at things.. the answere is yess so u cant count on u..friends family talk bad about ya and let you down as well so you cant count on them. to rely on human strength is well to me not the smartest thing..God Is Real Jesus Christ is Real when he hung on that cross he paid the cost 4 all..dont fear man that can harm ur body.. but fear Your Father who can kill your soul.. Jesus is real and he loves you and me and the whole world

  • i so glad you guys made it. i literally felt like screaming watching this. scared the crap out of me. thanks for this. we all need an awakening .

  • The terror. I am glad they are ok.

This video made me teary eyed. You can feel the fear these people experienced.

  • The lady saying "Where is it at?" The other woman saying, "Can we go in the cooler?" and the little boy crying, "Oh my God! Oh my God!" were all turning points on the tornado's approach. But the lady that wins the day is the one who calls on "Jesus, Jesus!" and "Heavenly Father!" that saved the day. Awesome, awesome!!! That is exactly what I would be doing if a tornado came crashing on my house. Whether I make it or not. That is how I want to go, invoking the name of Jesus.

  • To those who watched this, then commented things like "That b*tch needs to shut up!" or "They need to calm the hell down." Have you EVER experienced a tornado? Where your house was torn apart? When you were holding you friend's/family member's hand one second, then they get sucked out into the storm? When people you've known for a lifetime, dead? A majority of you, probably haven't. Please be considerate, and don't use the internet...
