madlib newbie! loving the previews of this on itunes. bout to cop. just one question though. have these beats been used on other tracks previous or are they all new to this album?
First time heard this, I sparked a joint just as the beat dropped and replied 'yeah' to the 'enjoying this shit right here' sample at the same time as the 'yeah' sample in the track... it was perfect and I could not have been happier at that moment :)
I'M A POWERHOUSE even when the POWERS OUT J.dilla changed the game SO WHAT WAS THAT GAME ABOUT BEFORE HIM? i'm a WARRIOR so i recognize a WARRIOR, I'm a give him a WARRIOR'S BURIAL through the STEREO n watch A VERY COLD FEELING BLOW AS I WATCH AZRAEL CARRY HIM TO HEAVEN...letting go is difficult so i wrote eleven verses ALL LOVE NO CURSES...getting lifted NO PURPLE...there will never be another J. This ended up being one of my favorite albums ever. Its so hard to actually get "sick of". about 42 tracks for $9.99 isnt bad. yes, he is so good that i actually buy his cd's (only artist i've done that for in years).
Each Beat Konducta album is amazing, but this one really blew me away and has so much energy and yet so relaxing at the same time.
one of my dreams is to make it as a rapper not big and flashy but to be on stonesthrow makin music and droppin shit for fun and workin with madlib. thatd be the shit

@jcsnoopy Jedi's have become more endangered as younger generations evolve. Makes me proud to know that our kind will always survive, regardless of how so very few exist in your age group although I honestly feel my age group is the worst, if not, the most delusional. 10/25/82. I was banging ghostface, raekwon, outkast, nas, scarface, reggie, and ras kass at the age of 14, just to name a few. what 14 year olds listen to now is so pathetic its unreal. Hip hop can never die with cats like Madlib,9th wonder,DJ Babu,DJ Premier,Pete Rock,MF DOOM,& last but definitly not the least the on liveing sounds of J DILLA. AIN'T NO FUCKIN WAY!!!
Too many people are saying that Hip-Hop is dead....if Hip-Hop is dead, that's basically saying that we are dead...true, the mainstream is pumping garbage. THAT DOESN'T MEAN BY ANY MEANS THAT THE CULTURE IS DEAD BECAUSE THE MUSIC ISN'T BEING REPRESENTED IN THE RIGHT LIGHT....
"Whatever's going on in Hip-Hop is going on with us..."- Mos Def, 1999
Lol preciate that, doe...but yea, Nas provoked the mass conscious to look at where the culture was moving...but it just means that it's important more than ever for us to take hold of the culture that we created as well as the world that we'll soon inherit...the 80s babies are turning 30, so there's no time like the present to take hold.
