  • oh my GOD !! So wonderful song ....

  • qui lui écrivait ses textes?

  • She was old fashioned in a cute way, with her eye glasses that made her look shy,but when Nana sang she sang holding nothing back.Take care ADonovan43

  • Beatiful song. I'd like to listen always.

  • <3

  • Pięknie, anielski głos :)

  • Please excuse me, NABBANA ~ a correction is in order. Yes, we have all loved Nana for decades and most of us have her recordings. Anything she sings is beautiful and unique. But this is NOT a "French song". It was written and sung by our own Bob Dylan in the early 1960s, and made even more famous by (his girlfriend) the great Joan Baez. Your title should perhaps read, "Nana sings a wonderful Bob Dylan song, in French". Thanks for posting this ~ it is beautiful despite your error.

  • Pos na min t' agapas afto to koritsi, pou tragouda me oli tou tin psychi ?

  • ♥nana is the best.

  • Happy birthday,my little singing angel....

  • MadameMouskouri should live forever.

  • Sehr schön

  • the best version of adieu anyone has sung and live too!., nana and the antheians for ever!!

  • Linda voz, linda cantora

  • Nomizo pos tha spasei i karthia mou...

  • Never say adieu to Nana.Mesa stis fleves mou einai..

  • Joan Baez e Nana Mouskouri... Dio ha QUESTE voci!

  • I can't believe I just found her music like 2 days ago! but it's better late than never.... I love her voice and by her performances it looks like she is a humble and down to earth lady. She has a such a beautiful smile and presence! An amazing voice, simply an angels voice... I will continue my search for other songs of hers...

  • A beautiful rendition by NANA. Her music is ageless

  • My all-time favorite Dylan cover...no-one can sing like Nana!!

  • @NABBANA this is the french version of the Bob Dylan song "Farewell Angelina". It's not a french song. Please correct your info. Thanks.

  • @TheSkinnyMoo

Is it in French isn't it ? Yes--> Fench song... Please correct your logic. Thanks. (Do the people say that "May way" from Sinatra is a French song? I dont think so...)

  • @paulochon94 Please correct your spelling to start with, wise guy, "May way" and "Fench songs" don't fit into my logic indeed. Not to my knowledge so far. Farewell Angelina is a song translated in french and sung beautifully by Nana, who is Greek, like me.

  • @TheSkinnyMoo

Spelling criticism is the lowest level of criticism. Maybe if I wrote well my sentence you would understand but I do think it is not worth it. Your condescension was the reason of my comment, but thanks, you made my day even more beautiful : I am glad not to know you ! BTW Who cares whether who is Greek, French, American,... Not me.

  • @TheSkinnyMoo Thanks, I was about the make the same comment. This is a Bob Dylan song. Nana does an impressive cover.

  • @nycdude999 well the uploader doesn't seem to care, so I guess Bob is French.

  • En el idioma que cante es maravillosa.

  • Beautiful - a Bob Dylan song en Francais.

  • nice one

  • playback + traduction mot à mot = aucun sens lyrique

pas de créativité, pas d'émotion. nul.

  • sehr schönes lied super super

  • Divina Nana...parabéns pelo video!!!

  • Joan Baez or Nana Mouskori? French or english version?

I'd like to know Bob Dylan's answer. My answer is Joan Baez and english version.

  • @alpesedelweiss that's probably because you're not fluent in French ;) Otherwise you wouldn't be able to choose.

  • @TomateFarcie I'm spanish but I understand french. I like Nana Mouskori very much and often you can see in my channel her songs. I think perhaps you are right and I wouldn't be able to choose.

  • @alpesedelweiss Thank you for the replies. I don't blame you. I grew up thinking Nana Mouskouri was just another pop singer with a better voice. I never truly heard her until years and years later. The stuff she usually sang in French was not very interesting, and she can do so much better. I do love Joan Baez as well, probably more. :) but they're completely different kinds of artists.

  • Gorgeous and full of feeling.

  • The good old days!!! and i wasn't even close to being born yet

  • I remember her mentioned in an episode of Ed, Edd, and Eddy. Well at least her name was in the background on a poster.

  • Words and music by Bob Dylan, written in the middle 1960s.

  • @shrivecheney

Music from the scottish traditional song "Farewell to Tarwathie"

  • The guy who was with the camera, I think he was trying to get trhu her

  • the vibrato is better than joan baez althouth both perform in their own style, which is good.

  • at the very end is that some kind of puppet clapping?

  • Adieu, adieu, adieu.

  • this makes me proud to be greek!

  • great times and goood music

  • 12 points from Gremany

  • wat year was this?

  • @kayllo15 68 the latest and bravo! probably the best performance since baez in 66 at newport (listen to video) where she tweaked her 65 album version by striking a better balance with the lyrics but still without straying too far from the genre she loved. the rhythm on dylan's rare 64 original, which many say was written for baez to perform, was structured less traditionally.. more of an avant-garde blues offering.. joanie pepped it up in response to 'folk rock' and in turn nana coverered in 67.

  • Awesome!! thanks for posting .Fabulous lady and singer !

Bob Dylan song by the way .

  • i love nana

  • Ce son me donne des frissons tellement il me rappelle de mon enfance.

  • Wow. She is the greatest female singer of all time. Viva Bienne.

  • Nana est beaucoup mieux que Celine Dion! :P

  • The brezzes of time will never blow away this beautiful classic..Take care ADonovan43

  • I love nana, i wish she was 55 years younger, id date her.

  • Ma è morta?

  • Is she like the Lisa Loeb of her generation?

  • 1. i adore nana and this song

    but

    2. what the heck is the broomstick with the face doing in the crowd ast the beginning?

    LOL

  • Her version is better than Joan Baez's version. Nana has a better/less sharp voice, less vibrato. It is more pleasing...

  • @Doleafol

It is not the voice itself but the transitions (from note to note, continuous rather than jumping) that are soft. And it is the vibrato that is most pleasing.

  • love you nana youre the best!!!!!...god bless you...

  • merveilleuse nana !

  • c'est vraiement bonne chanteuse!!1

  • i love that lady, she sings so wonderfully. Nana!!!

  • I love nana!!!!!

    MMMMERCiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii++++++++++++++++

  • It may have been Written By the great song writer Bob Dylan bob .

But she sings it with such beauty that no tongue can tell .

  • I have this sheet music

  • This is such a beautiful song. Singing in all the languages she does - it is no wonder she is the worlds biggest selling Female artist. Seems like the whole world loves her voice.

  • i fell in love with this sexy lady when i was 13 and still love her

    fantastic lady wow

  • This is one of my favorite songs of her.

Nana is AMAZING. Her voice is just beautiful, she can sing, she really does comparing to so many " fake singers " in our time now.

  • I absolutely adore this song! Nana is such an amazing and emotive singer. I like listening to her singing in different languages as an English speaker I find these languages very attractive and full of passion - great performance by a great and timeless artist!

  • Simple, she can sing!

  • how have i never heard of this woman???

biggest selling female artist ever. 2nd biggest solo artist ever after Michael Jackson???

wtf? can someone who ain't biased let me know how she is so popular?

  • TheyBastardisedJesus, that's because not only is she a great singer, but she's sung in more than a dozen languages in her long carear...she speaks 6 languages fluently...

  • Well I went to Wikipedia to look for the answer of your question and well I found a PARTIAL discography with more then 50 albums.I guess hard work does pay off.

  • I guess it's just because she was way before Celine Dion ... and much better than Celine Dion !

I heard her voice since I was a baby because my mom used to listen her records almost all the time...

Quelle voix cristalline. Unique.

  • i love you Nana.

  • what a voice, prime Nana also her band, the Athenians

  • Great!!!!!!!!

J'aime fortement Nana Mouskouri.

  • que lindos anteojos tiene....

  • this is one of my favourite songs EVER

  • Mine too - I love Joan Baez and it's wonderful to hear Nana sing this song in French - both Joan and Nana have wonderful voices.

    Saskia

  • Compare Nana's version with that of Joan Baez and note the really tight vibratto of both singers.

  • himai97, thi's classic music not some hip pop clap

  • You can know what she's saying by checking out Bob Dylan's "Farewell Angelina"... This song is a second degree remake of his song. It went through Joan Baez first.

  • Adorable artiste,voix fantastique!

  • this is beutiful... i wish i knew what shes saying though (i only speak english)

  • You can know what she's saying by checking out Bob Dylan's "Farewell Angelina"... This song is a second degree remake of his song. It went through Joan Baez first.

  • Thanx. will do.

  • Thanks man, I always thought she first did the song, and apart from the title which i could translate, I had despaired of ever getting the whole translation! Now I like Bob Dylan even more, if that is possible!

  • loveley song great singer

  • Bellissima. She matches the english version by Joan Baez

  • What u mean she matches the english version, Nana Mouskouri doesn't match anything, she far surpasses it with her angelic voice :)

  • I agree, I like her version better..but Bob Dylan wrote the Lyrics... If there is a true artist it is Mr.Dylan!!

  • One of her most beautiful songs. I have a list of foreign language songs numbering 1-150 & this is #3. Favorite English song is The Power of Love.

  • yes, the intro to this video is Guantanamera.

  • Amazing!

  • how old was she there?

  • Born in October 1934...what a lovely lady regardless of age...

  • sweet and lovely!

  • The English version is Farewell, Angelina; it was recorded by Joan Baez, a close friend of Bob Dylan, in 1965. Bob Dylan also recorded a version at about the same time but did not release it.

  • No, Bob Dylan wrote Every Grain of Sand for her.
