There's is actually no reason to vote. All your candidates are selected for you as is the winner of the elections. Democracy is a lie and the only way to make a change is to kill your government.
@RGRIMOWEN Preaching to the choir. I'm actually a Monarchist and don't believe in Democracy. Funny even I gave into a little bit of hope that maybe Ron could win. I often say "Democracy is a competition in which the best liar wins", so you yourself have come up with a relatively similar line. Great minds think alike. ; )
But what are our other options if we don't vote ??? We are stuck with this system as it stands for now at least . I think there is suck an overwhelming grass roots effort for Ron Paul that he could secure the nomination. We can use the power of the internet to spread his message since mainstream ( bought &paid for ) media only belittles the man - Why ? Out of fear - if elected he would shake things up like no other and is therefore a threat . Ron Paul gives me hope .
@timenyart Ron wants to get rid of the fed all together because he knows what it means to have the power to print money which destroys currencies and the effect on society of the resulting inflation. Inflation and taxation is used to enslave the masses...Keep educating us Ron. Ron Paul 2012!!
@vincentca2004 Ron Paul woulnt be a good president, some of his positions are too radical, and naive, for instance legalizing prostitution and marijuana, that would simply creat more gov., he doesnt have enough friends to build an effective administration
@timenyart What?!! When did he say that? Dr. Paul never said he support those individual issues from a moral point of view. He supports the complete freedom of the individuals, and if a state is against prostitution or marijuana, then they can still vote to ban it. Dr. Ron Paul wants the government to stop dictating how people should live. And, he believes that it is never the executive branch's authority to dictate and regulate such things in the first place!!
@sga86 I didnt say he supported it morally, I said he supported legalization, what Ron Paul and most libertarians dont understand is that in order for marijuana or prostitution to be legalized, it would create 10 times more government and regulation, the gov. has the responsibility to protect its citizens NOT from themselves, but from other citizens, unregulated legal marijuana or prostitution represents such a threat, NOW do you you really want to make those legal
Dems will never go for legalization without a crapload of regulation, Ron Paul would actually harm his own cause for limited government if he supported a successful bid for legalization
@timenyart 1st, go to Ronpaul2012dotCOM & read about the things he support. He's not bidding for legalization of drugs at all! He is against the FEDERAL gov't's regulations and he does not want the executive branch to be in control of these regulations which was the legislative branch's job in the first place! The current system's balance of power is all messed up, RP wants to let the states decide on what they want!
@timenyart Btw, there're just as much problems with legal drugs as illegal drugs such as pain killers...etc. In the end, people need to take responsibility and not give up personal liberty and let gov't decide on what we can and cannot do! In the same way, if you decide to do drugs and get sick, you shouldn't expect gov't to help you like they do in socialist countries!
@sga86 your assuming drugs and prostitution only effect the individuals using them, they dont, prostitution spreads stds, and because it is a business the producer ( prostitute) is legally obligated to follow gov. protocols to protect the consumer ( thats if it is legal, which has both fiscal and moral issues) and drugs not only being damaging to ones health also endangers the people around drug users
@timenyart Alcohol is legalized and it was a much much worse problem when it was illegal. It should be a state issue like alcohol is. Once again he is not advocating legalization. Only that the states should have a say. Some drugs like marijuana are simply stupid to make illegal.
@bschou I'm fine with it being a state issue, but libertarians dont realize that by advocating legalization (which would increase the role of government in our lives because they would go into the regulizing business) is completely against their beliefs and ideals
@timenyart Legal drugs does just as much damage. Besides prescriptions, just look at how much tobacco kills! To have full liberty and freedom of choice, you simply can't pick and choose. If Federal Gov't regulation on drugs is no longer, it doesn't mean the state can't ban it. So it's allowing the people to have a louder voice in their own state on what they want regulated. Same thing above goes for prostitution! He want's to regulate the gov't, the other stuff states can decide for themselves.
@timenyart So, its OBVIOUSLY unlikely every state will legalize drugs but at least the federal gov't won't be able to throw a cancer patient into prison for using STATE LEGALIZED prescription marijuana to lessen the pain! If you hate marijuana so much, move to another state that didn't legalize it and vice versa. And of course minors would be prohibited from these unhealthy behaviors & if you abuse them, you will be responsible for yourself!
@sga86 If Marijuana was legal for say over 21 like alcohol then it would be a lot harder for minors to get marijuana. As it is now any minor can get marijuana from any thug on the street. If we legalize and say it becomes a common item you can buy at walmart gas stations, liquor store, and so on they'll have to check I.D.'s just as they do now for alcohol. I could get marijuana before I left school everyday if I wanted. Getting alcohol though was like winning the jack pot.
A hollywood homosexual actor on the left, a sleazy used car salesman on the right, and a Presidential candidate in the center.....Don't you love American politics?
Ron Paul should have his own show "Educating America" first show should be explaining to Gulianni the difference between being a mayor and a member of the federal government
@TwistedOrgasmicRage Other way around. Ron Paul for Prez Jesse Ventura vice prez. Both Ron Paul, and Jesse Ventura expose alot of scum bags, and problems in the govt, but the difference is Ron Paul offers solutions, and Jesse Ventura just exposes problems. Plus Ron has wayyyyy more expeirence.
@rhalas nah, probably the biased media. They like to pick on the guy thats actually talking about america but kiss ass to the other reps for doing there ''LOOK GOOD for the camera and reply to questions i dont know with a lame line of comedy to distract the audience from my stupidity'' cliche.
LOL Ron paul is the man. We elected president.Just that the vote dont count any more.Alex jones had a pre election vote they did on his show to prove more american want on Ron paul:)
soldier9599 makes a comment, some people didn't like it. So youtube has a function whereby his comment can get buried and hidden? Isn't the idea of free speech and the idea of knowledge meant to embrace, and indeed focus on, the 'unpopular' opinion? Shouldn't it be the comments that everyone thinks are not "good" be the ones we really look at? There is always something to be learned.
No, it doesn't. Personally, I am against the war; but people should know the facts and get their priorities straight. SS+Welfare+Healcare (currently) makes up 55% of government spending. The war makes up 5%.
where are you getting these statistics from? I agree we have a welfare situation much like every other socialist country... put it this way... their are currently about 6.8 billion (rough guess) in the world... $1 Trillion = $147 to every single person in the world... not just American people... we COULD end hunger in this world...
My source? The United States Census Bureau. Trying to give money to foreign countries is completely unrelated to anything I said, but alright. If people want to give money to hungry people in Africa, that is their prerogative, not the government's.
We cannot safely divide the wealth equitably among all peoples so long as people reproduce at different rates. On average poor countries have a 2.5% annual population increase; rich countries about 0.8%. Only rich countries have food reserves, poor countries have none. Without help the growth rate of poor countries would be periodically checked by crop failures and famines. But if allowed to draw on others in time of need, their population grows unchecked, and so will their "need" for aid
ridiculous. where would this money come from? so who will produce goods for 1 trillion and who will buy that? if you print 1 trillio, then your 147 bucks can maybe buy you a piece of gum. moronic statement. hunger could end once poor uneducated quit having children and governments leave the people alone. otherwise it is not my fault someone in africa had 8 kids. sorry. better luck next time. bubba maybe you should just donate all your money if you so for this, otherwise please leave me alone.
ron paul is a libertarian conservative in the Barry Goldwater mould Obama on economic issues is a far left liberal Paul would never accept the nomination as VP for him he is too principled
Libertarian, Liberals, Barry Goldwater 'mould' and too principled. These are words of the activation of division when it should be put aside to accomplish the very same goals of security and prosperity in this country, hence why the word 'United' should be more than just the meaning of the states or a metaphor, but United as one as a true patriot and goodwill of this country. That's the side of a REAL american.
Says who...? That sounds like street BS... And from the perspective of the machiavellian political thinking of Barack's team, even if Ron did become VP (which Ron wouldn't accept), they wouldn't choose him for one of the main reasons why they didn't choose Hil: there would be too much opposition. And Big head Obama would never share his communist glory with anyone as powerful as Ron Paul. His ego could get hurt. And then he might cry. :( And we don't like crying in America...
I read everyones' comments with interest & I have to say this- if I did not find this
mess of a war so tragically sad, I would, in fact, find it comedically hysterical. What a
ridiculous waste of life, not to mention, time, effort and money, mostly for the sake of proving America and americans' judgemental idea of democracy is the only "right way." Cuba, China & Russia don't
think so and they do fine without us...Who will we pick on we're finished building the United States of Iraq?....
i cant stand these smug coksukers and their idiot laughter. ask romney about fiscal and monetary policy and he wont know the first thing. hey mitt and fred, explain to me about inflation and the concept behind it. I want a smart presindent for a change...
the FUCKD up thing is,.. i think that in an hosest election, if everyone were to vote thru their social security number online, no fukn SUPER DELAGETES and all that BS jibberish that noone understands cuz it doesnt make sense! then ron paul would win, but the power is obviously not too the people,
i love how Paul makes so much sense, then the other candidates just know that the people don't understand what he is saying so they try to laugh it off. Thompson is an idiot.
I don't understand how Ron Paul is not considered the GOP hero and that as much as we complain about Pres. Bush we are asking for more of the same with anyone other than Dr. Paul.
How do you like that Mitt prick jaw asshole standinging over there with that grin about something he has NO idea about. Tie a college sweater arong the dicks neck . Gawwd he is another skull and bones asswipe.
Ron Paul just needs to stand up and say to the audience at these debates, "Is anyone listening, does anyone care" in an angry tone or put some of those audience members on the spot and ask who they are voting for and why.
Why do the rest of them laugh? How can they possibly shrug off what Ron Paul said? Whoever ends up getting elected, I hope they have Dr. Paul's phone number. Someone's going to need to tell the arrogant, retarded president what to do.
It is clear that you have NO CONCEPT of the threat we face. If you and the other Paulites prevail, we are simply marking time until the terrorists find a new place to regroup, organize, plan, practice and execute another attack on the U.S. Best defense is a good offense.
Ron Paul is the only candidate that is not CFR, Bilderberger and the only one anti-government and establishment. Down with The Fed! Save your freedoms! Kill The Patriot Act and Homeland Security Act! But don't listen to me, I am just a dumb Canuck!
You say "The US created the terrorists!" Welcome to the Blame America first coalition. You couldn't be more wrong, but then if you guys win, you get to screw it up and then we'll have to clean up the mess you left (assuming there is anything left to clean up).
I also believe that Bush and his elitist cronies brought down the WTC, in conjunction with his old pal Bin Laden. Look at the evidence... What a way to make money and take control, by removing liberties. These are not extremist views. They are views expressed by free-thinking folks that don't believe everything they are fed by the box in the living-room.
So you believe you can bomb and oppress people for decades and they will just keep smiling? Never a hint of anomosity? PROVIDE a country with WMD's then Bomb them for having them? Calling the ruler a murderer because he didn't use them on the people you wanted him to? Seriously, Do you have a brain? PLEASE RESPOND!
Yes, I'll say it right here, barneyr. The US helped to create the terrorists. What are you going to do about it? Call me unAmerican? Well, I'd rather be right than patriotic, and that makes me patriotic. It's called a paradox, barney, but I'll bet you're brain's to malnourished to get it.
You would "rather be right than patriotic"? There is a word for people who are prepared to stand against their country - treason. It's way beyond un-American.
No, barney, I'm not going to be blindly patriotic. That's the most un-American thing you can do, worship the red, white, and blue and ignore the mistakes of our country. So when I say I'd rather be right than patriotic, what I really mean is that I'd rather be a real patriot rather than a fake one who hides behind the flag but has no real moral convictions. "It's way beyond un-American" my ass. You're a fascist. The founding fathers warned me about people like you.
Spoken like a true treasonist. Those who commit treason are always individuals who think their country is wrong, that they are right, and that their country has made a big mistake. Tell me, what do you think treason is?
No, treason is doing something like giving secrets to the enemy. Criticizing your government is exercising your right to free speech. Remember our Constitutional Rights, barney?!! Our government is supposed to be afraid of us, the people, not the government afraid of us. I'll bet you are a Republican who has bought into the neocon philosophy hook, line and sinker. True Republicans look out for the people, not the government. You are just as bad as the Democrats.
Actually, the U.S. did not create the terrorists. This is a religious war, and it has been going on LOOOOONNGGG before the U.S. was even in existence. What are the terrorists primary goal? For Islam to take over the world, and any nation that stands against that is their enemy.
That's why they don't only attack the U.S., but Russia, Thailand, Moscow, England, France, their own people in the middle east that don't follow them....Seriously, do some research, and if you like documentaries, I recommend "obsession."
No...Yes we are involved in this war, but we are not the primary cause of 700,000 deaths (I'm not even sure if 700K is an accurate number). The terrorists are the cause. Hello... suicide bombers... They use their own people as decoys and weapons, and kill them if they don't follow. They are nothing but cowards, and you want to tell me that WE, the U.S., killed 700,000 people. Stop distorting the facts.
I'll say it again, look up Obsession the movie if you want the facts. This jihad crap has been going on long before the U.S. ever set foot in the Middle East. Shall I explain to you the history Hitler had, and his influence in the middle east, and how much of Lebanon's military takes after Nazism (just an example).
There's one thing you and I can agree on, and that's removing some of our military operations, and lets start to focus on our own country first before we baby sit someone else.
That being said, we have not killed near a million people in Iraq. Don't forget about the war between Iran and Iraq in the 80's, and as I keep saying over and over again, the fact that the terrorists kill their own people (they would even have public be-headings in stadiums).
Have we killed innocent lives? Yes we have! But that's war! The problem is we went in half-assed, and that's what has prolonged this war and caused more casualties. That's why the recent surge is working, and there's more and more positive coming out of the war. Violence has dropped dramatically, the city of Ramada in Iraq, once the murder capital of the world, is now safe enough to walk the streets.
By the way, occupying Saudi Arabia and supporting the Saudi Family (which we do because they control the oil), may have not helped our relations with the terrorists, but it is not the root cause of why they attacked us. History proves otherwise. At least attempt to find Obsession the Movie. I had a friend that thought exactly like you, and after he watched the documentary, a light switched turned on, and he could do nothing but say, oh crap, I had no idea.
Where the heck are you getting your information? The news? haha...Like that's ever an accurate source. Look, when you have senators and presidential candidates like McCain able to walk the streets of Iraq freely with ZERO body armor, you know you're doing a damn good job. I have more credible evidence, but enough said.
Universities, airports, public schools, hospitals are being built and many in the name of the U.S. to honor what we've done for the Iraqi people.
It is unfortunate we entered this war, and it is unfortunate to see the lives that have been lost, but this war will end, and it will end as a victory for the U.S., and the Iraqi people
I didn't say let's go and save everyone who needs help, though you may have taken it that way. We did not go into Iraq to "save the people," but to make sure Saddam did not have WMD, and to protect our interest with their oil. Taking down Saddam wasn't for the people, but for ourselves, but it also served the interests of the people at the same time.
I didn't say let's go and save everyone who needs help, though you may have taken it that way. Taking down Saddam wasn't for the people, but for ourselves, but it also served the interests of the people at the same time.
Also! Being the country that we are, since we dismantled their government, we are staying to make sure it is rebuilt, and the country isn't thrown into chaos. We did the same exact thing to Japan during WWII. We took over their country, developed a democracy, and when they were able to resume control, we gave it back. What other country in history has done that? Usually whatever you conquer, you keep, but we give it back? Think about it...
Do you want to waste our blood and money on rebuilding the next oppressive mid east governemnt and re arm them, just like the Shah and the medieval Saudi governemnt? So we are trying to bring democracy to Iraq, that a pretty loose term. Is the Iraq govt. going to be a limited constitutional govt. that respects personal liberty and the seperation of church and state, I doubt it.
FBI Agent Piro is the man who interrogated Saddam, and Saddam admitted to lying to the world that they had WMD's to prevent Iran from invading. And every country in the world, with the surprising exception of France, believed Iraq had WMD. We acted on the intelligence we had at the time. It was after the fact, that we found out we were wrong.
Fare enough. But you are adopting the view that the actions of our enemies, Islamic fundamentalist radicals, is someone the result of our actions. That is nieve and dangerous. Islamics are imperialists, bent on spreading their Islamic rule of law and theocratice government to the whole earth. Sitting back now would be like sitting back and letting Hitler take over the Europeon, Asian and African contintents.
The bottom line is that should Ron Paul become President we would be the most secure nation of ALL TIME. With all of our military resourses at home we would MOP THE FLOOR with anyone who chalanged us.
Especially with the 2nd amendment...if another NATION attacked us the American people would kill them along with the military! We are so blessed in this country, let's preserve it!
Yes, they interrupted alot, and made half-hearted attempts to prove him wrong. But it was quite obvious that they where barely keeping their heads above water, while Ron was swimming laps around them.
actually our military would be stronger because the 300+ thousand soldiers would be back home further increasing the strength of not only our national defense but spending their income on U.S. products and services domestically.
Apparently having your military at home, instead of on the battle field, killing the bad guys, is the way libertarians think you win wars. I'm glad libertarians haven't been in charge for the last 200 years, we'd be speaking Japanese on the west coast, and German on the East coast.
First, there hasn't been a Congressional Declaration of War. Second, if Ron Paul were to receive one from the Congress he would do whatever it took to win and come home. Not stay indefinitly.
The basis for war with Iraq is rooted in the first gulf war. We agreed to a cessation of hostilities providing that Iraq guarantee, in writing, certain things. The peace treaty included fly over zones, weapons inspections, disarmament, etc. From that point forward, Iraq broke those agreements, and violated close to 20 U.N. sanctions directly linked to the treaty they signed. Going back into Iraq was a simple matter of cleaning up from the first war - which congress authorized.
Further, congress gave President Bush the authority to use whatever force necessary to deal with Iraq. That is PRECISELY why liberals are ticked off at Hillary Clinton and others who VOTED for that authority. Hillary may dance away from it now, but she knew exactly what they were doing. Are you going to tell me you didn't see the Code Pink / Hillary Clinton video?
The Constitution states quite clearly what the federal gov. can and can not do. Anything outside those strictures will eventually get US into trouble. Look at the mess we are in domestically and in foriegn affairs. It's taken many decades to bring US to this point but it was enevitable...the founders clearly warned exactly what would happen if we heeded not their advice and guiding counsel. You are an example of those who willfully disregard their sage advice.

Cyrus255 7 months ago
@Cyrus255 Why vote at all? Good question.
There's is actually no reason to vote. All your candidates are selected for you as is the winner of the elections. Democracy is a lie and the only way to make a change is to kill your government.
RGRIMOWEN 7 months ago
@RGRIMOWEN Preaching to the choir. I'm actually a Monarchist and don't believe in Democracy. Funny even I gave into a little bit of hope that maybe Ron could win. I often say "Democracy is a competition in which the best liar wins", so you yourself have come up with a relatively similar line. Great minds think alike. ; )
Cyrus255 7 months ago
@RGRIMOWEN

Ron Paul 2012!!
vincentca2004 7 months ago
@vincentca2004 Ron Paul woulnt be a good president, some of his positions are too radical, and naive, for instance legalizing prostitution and marijuana, that would simply creat more gov., he doesnt have enough friends to build an effective administration
timenyart 7 months ago
@timenyart What?!! When did he say that? Dr. Paul never said he support those individual issues from a moral point of view. He supports the complete freedom of the individuals, and if a state is against prostitution or marijuana, then they can still vote to ban it. Dr. Ron Paul wants the government to stop dictating how people should live. And, he believes that it is never the executive branch's authority to dictate and regulate such things in the first place!!
sga86 7 months ago
@sga86 I didnt say he supported it morally, I said he supported legalization, what Ron Paul and most libertarians dont understand is that in order for marijuana or prostitution to be legalized, it would create 10 times more government and regulation, the gov. has the responsibility to protect its citizens NOT from themselves, but from other citizens, unregulated legal marijuana or prostitution represents such a threat, NOW do you you really want to make those legal
timenyart 7 months ago
Dems will never go for legalization without a crapload of regulation, Ron Paul would actually harm his own cause for limited government if he supported a successful bid for legalization
timenyart 7 months ago
@timenyart 1st, go to Ronpaul2012dotCOM & read about the things he support. He's not bidding for legalization of drugs at all! He is against the FEDERAL gov't's regulations and he does not want the executive branch to be in control of these regulations which was the legislative branch's job in the first place! The current system's balance of power is all messed up, RP wants to let the states decide on what they want!
sga86 7 months ago
@timenyart Btw, there're just as much problems with legal drugs as illegal drugs such as pain killers...etc. In the end, people need to take responsibility and not give up personal liberty and let gov't decide on what we can and cannot do! In the same way, if you decide to do drugs and get sick, you shouldn't expect gov't to help you like they do in socialist countries!
sga86 7 months ago
@sga86 your assuming drugs and prostitution only effect the individuals using them, they dont, prostitution spreads stds, and because it is a business the producer ( prostitute) is legally obligated to follow gov. protocols to protect the consumer ( thats if it is legal, which has both fiscal and moral issues) and drugs not only being damaging to ones health also endangers the people around drug users
timenyart 7 months ago
@timenyart Alcohol is legalized and it was a much much worse problem when it was illegal. It should be a state issue like alcohol is. Once again he is not advocating legalization. Only that the states should have a say. Some drugs like marijuana are simply stupid to make illegal.
bschou 6 months ago
@bschou I'm fine with it being a state issue, but libertarians dont realize that by advocating legalization (which would increase the role of government in our lives because they would go into the regulizing business) is completely against their beliefs and ideals
timenyart 6 months ago
@timenyart Legal drugs does just as much damage. Besides prescriptions, just look at how much tobacco kills! To have full liberty and freedom of choice, you simply can't pick and choose. If Federal Gov't regulation on drugs is no longer, it doesn't mean the state can't ban it. So it's allowing the people to have a louder voice in their own state on what they want regulated. Same thing above goes for prostitution! He want's to regulate the gov't, the other stuff states can decide for themselves.
sga86 6 months ago

sga86 6 months ago
@timenyart He's not out to legalize. He wants to make it a state and not a federal issue.
bschou 6 months ago
@timenyart So, its OBVIOUSLY unlikely every state will legalize drugs but at least the federal gov't won't be able to throw a cancer patient into prison for using STATE LEGALIZED prescription marijuana to lessen the pain! If you hate marijuana so much, move to another state that didn't legalize it and vice versa. And of course minors would be prohibited from these unhealthy behaviors & if you abuse them, you will be responsible for yourself!
sga86 6 months ago
@sga86 If Marijuana was legal for say over 21 like alcohol then it would be a lot harder for minors to get marijuana. As it is now any minor can get marijuana from any thug on the street. If we legalize and say it becomes a common item you can buy at walmart gas stations, liquor store, and so on they'll have to check I.D.'s just as they do now for alcohol. I could get marijuana before I left school everyday if I wanted. Getting alcohol though was like winning the jack pot.

itzahazylife 3 years ago
No, it doesn't. Personally, I am against the war; but people should know the facts and get their priorities straight. SS+Welfare+Healcare (currently) makes up 55% of government spending. The war makes up 5%.
soldier9599 3 years ago
where are you getting these statistics from? I agree we have a welfare situation much like every other socialist country... put it this way... their are currently about 6.8 billion (rough guess) in the world... $1 Trillion = $147 to every single person in the world... not just American people... we COULD end hunger in this world...
bubbadankness 3 years ago
My source? The United States Census Bureau. Trying to give money to foreign countries is completely unrelated to anything I said, but alright. If people want to give money to hungry people in Africa, that is their prerogative, not the government's.
soldier9599 3 years ago
We cannot safely divide the wealth equitably among all peoples so long as people reproduce at different rates. On average poor countries have a 2.5% annual population increase; rich countries about 0.8%. Only rich countries have food reserves, poor countries have none. Without help the growth rate of poor countries would be periodically checked by crop failures and famines. But if allowed to draw on others in time of need, their population grows unchecked, and so will their "need" for aid
kaziqbal 3 years ago
ridiculous. where would this money come from? so who will produce goods for 1 trillion and who will buy that? if you print 1 trillio, then your 147 bucks can maybe buy you a piece of gum. moronic statement. hunger could end once poor uneducated quit having children and governments leave the people alone. otherwise it is not my fault someone in africa had 8 kids. sorry. better luck next time. bubba maybe you should just donate all your money if you so for this, otherwise please leave me alone.

ron paul is a libertarian conservative in the Barry Goldwater mould Obama on economic issues is a far left liberal Paul would never accept the nomination as VP for him he is too principled
mossretard 3 years ago 4
Libertarian, Liberals, Barry Goldwater 'mould' and too principled. These are words of the activation of division when it should be put aside to accomplish the very same goals of security and prosperity in this country, hence why the word 'United' should be more than just the meaning of the states or a metaphor, but United as one as a true patriot and goodwill of this country. That's the side of a REAL american.
vincentvendetta1 3 years ago
Says who...? That sounds like street BS... And from the perspective of the machiavellian political thinking of Barack's team, even if Ron did become VP (which Ron wouldn't accept), they wouldn't choose him for one of the main reasons why they didn't choose Hil: there would be too much opposition. And Big head Obama would never share his communist glory with anyone as powerful as Ron Paul. His ego could get hurt. And then he might cry. :( And we don't like crying in America...

I also believe that Bush and his elitist cronies brought down the WTC, in conjunction with his old pal Bin Laden. Look at the evidence... Cozzmos 4 years ago
Yes, I'll say it right here, barneyr. The US helped to create the terrorists. What are you going to do about it? Call me unAmerican? Well, I'd rather be right than patriotic, and that makes me patriotic. It's called a paradox, barney, but I'll bet you're brain's to malnourished to get it.
columbusclipper 4 years ago
You would "rather be right than patriotic"? There is a word for people who are prepared to stand against their country - treason. It's way beyond un-American.
barneyrl 4 years ago
No, barney, I'm not going to be blindly patriotic. That's the most un-American thing you can do, worship the red, white, and blue and ignore the mistakes of our country. So when I say I'd rather be right than patriotic, what I really mean is that I'd rather be a real patriot rather than a fake one who hides behind the flag but has no real moral convictions. "It's way beyond un-American" my ass. You're a fascist. The founding fathers warned me about people like you.
columbusclipper 4 years ago 3
Spoken like a true treasonist. Those who commit treason are always individuals who think their country is wrong, that they are right, and that their country has made a big mistake. Tell me, what do you think treason is?
barneyrl 4 years ago
No, treason is doing something like giving secrets to the enemy. Criticizing your government is exercising your right to free speech. Remember our Constitutional Rights, barney?!! Our government is supposed to be afraid of us, the people, not the government afraid of us. I'll bet you are a Republican who has bought into the neocon philosophy hook, line and sinker. True Republicans look out for the people, not the government. You are just as bad as the Democrats.
columbusclipper 4 years ago 2
treason is not upholding our constituion and allowing tryanny to take hold.
we are under siege... our goverment has absoulte controll over our money.
they spy on us
they search us with our warrents
they kill scientific research to promot their own agenda.... (see 'who killed the electric car')
its treason to let our beloved republic fall in the hands of facisim
lewman1234 4 years ago
Actually, the U.S. did not create the terrorists. This is a religious war, and it has been going on LOOOOONNGGG before the U.S. was even in existence. What are the terrorists primary goal? For Islam to take over the world, and any nation that stands against that is their enemy.
claydog04 4 years ago
That's why they don't only attack the U.S., but Russia, Thailand, Moscow, England, France, their own people in the middle east that don't follow them....Seriously, do some research, and if you like documentaries, I recommend "obsession."
claydog04 4 years ago
It is an upfront to their religion for us to be occuplying Saudi Arabia.
that is why they attack us.
they attack us because we over throw their goverments
and fund dictators.
we have killed over 700,000 iraqis in the last 10 years.
that is why there are terrorist
lewman1234 4 years ago
No...Yes we are involved in this war, but we are not the primary cause of 700,000 deaths (I'm not even sure if 700K is an accurate number). The terrorists are the cause. Hello... suicide bombers... They use their own people as decoys and weapons, and kill them if they don't follow. They are nothing but cowards, and you want to tell me that WE, the U.S., killed 700,000 people. Stop distorting the facts.
claydog04 4 years ago
I'll say it again, look up Obsession the movie if you want the facts. This jihad crap has been going on long before the U.S. ever set foot in the Middle East. Shall I explain to you the history Hitler had, and his influence in the middle east, and how much of Lebanon's military takes after Nazism (just an example).
claydog04 4 years ago
The Question?
Whos more dangerous the mouse or the cat that chases it?
lewman1234 4 years ago
500,000 dead due to US sanctions.... 150,000 reported deaths from the invasion.
a few 100 exteremist who hijack several planes... that amazingly got away with crashing into the twin towers... caused 3000 deaths.
FACT
we've killed near a million people, in iraq alone.
FACT
Our occupation of Saudi Arabia and the contiued US support for the Saudi family was cited as the main reasoning behind the 9/11 attacks.
FACT
We are engage in miltary operations in 150 countries.
lewman1234 4 years ago
There's one thing you and I can agree on, and that's removing some of our military operations, and lets start to focus on our own country first before we baby sit someone else.
That being said, we have not killed near a million people in Iraq. Don't forget about the war between Iran and Iraq in the 80's, and as I keep saying over and over again, the fact that the terrorists kill their own people (they would even have public be-headings in stadiums).
claydog04 4 years ago
Have we killed innocent lives? Yes we have! But that's war! The problem is we went in half-assed, and that's what has prolonged this war and caused more casualties. That's why the recent surge is working, and there's more and more positive coming out of the war. Violence has dropped dramatically, the city of Ramada in Iraq, once the murder capital of the world, is now safe enough to walk the streets.
claydog04 4 years ago
By the way, occupying Saudi Arabia and supporting the Saudi Family (which we do because they control the oil), may have not helped our relations with the terrorists, but it is not the root cause of why they attacked us. History proves otherwise. At least attempt to find Obsession the Movie. I had a friend that thought exactly like you, and after he watched the documentary, a light switched turned on, and he could do nothing but say, oh crap, I had no idea.

we have absoulty killed near a million people.
i have the figures. 500,000 from sanctions imposed by the US while Bill Clinton was president.
150,000 + deaths resulting from the invasion which doesn't count for the millions injured.
And these vast generalizations of all muslims who fight the US occupations... not all our terrorist.
lewman1234 4 years ago
Universities, airports, public schools, hospitals are being built and many in the name of the U.S. to honor what we've done for the Iraqi people.
It is unfortunate we entered this war, and it is unfortunate to see the lives that have been lost, but this war will end, and it will end as a victory for the U.S., and the Iraqi people
claydog04 4 years ago

the idea we were going to help save everyone who needs help... is rediclous and offensive.
lewman1234 4 years ago
I didn't say let's go and save everyone who needs help, though you may have taken it that way. Think about it...

not true what you think the whole outing of the CIA angent was about.
UN inspecters said there were no WMDS
and thats why they wouldn't back us in the invasion.
More intellegence comes out everyday saying that the administration knew there were no WMDS.
935 lies from admistration about Iraq is why we went to war

Fare enough. But you are adopting the view that the actions of our enemies, Islamic fundamentalist radicals, is someone the result of our actions. That is nieve and dangerous. Islamics are imperialists, bent on spreading their Islamic rule of law and theocratice government to the whole earth. Sitting back now would be like sitting back and letting Hitler take over the Europeon, Asian and African contintents.

this is the most ignorant thing i have ever read. and it's naive* but seriously dude, think for yourself and read a book or two
spoocyguy 4 years ago
Is that the best you can do, call it ignorant. What is ignorant about it? Those weren't Irish Catholics flying planes into the World Trade Center.
barneyrl 4 years ago
So will you be calling for the impeachment of both Republican and Democratic lawmakers or is this just navel gazing?

The bottom line is that should Ron Paul become President we would be the most secure nation of ALL TIME. With all of our military resourses at home we would MOP THE FLOOR with anyone who chalanged us.
thetuesday 4 years ago 3
Especially with the 2nd amendment...if another NATION attacked us the American people would kill them along with the military! We are so blessed in this country, let's preserve it!

I watched the whole debate and poor Ron Paul got pwned so amny times by all canidates, all 5 of them basically teams up and nailed Paul down.
SWGisGay 4 years ago
Yes, they interrupted alot, and made half-hearted attempts to prove him wrong. But it was quite obvious that they where barely keeping their heads above water, while Ron was swimming laps around them.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
Ron Paul is a loony bin. Fred Thompson will make change, and keep America STRONG.
Paul would prob cut the Military in half, knowing his anti war views.
merzoc6501 4 years ago
actually our military would be stronger because the 300+ thousand soldiers would be back home further increasing the strength of not only our national defense but spending their income on U.S. products and services domestically.

Apparently having your military at home, instead of on the battle field, killing the bad guys, is the way libertarians think you win wars. I'm glad libertarians haven't been in charge for the last 200 years, we'd be speaking Japanese on the west coast, and German on the East coast.
barneyrl 4 years ago
Japan attacked us in WWII! Ron would have kicked their butts!
IRAQ DID NOT ATTACK US!!!
hammurderer2 4 years ago 2
First, there hasn't been a Congressional Declaration of War. Second, if Ron Paul were to receive one from the Congress he would do whatever it took to win and come home. Not stay indefinitly.

The basis for war with Iraq is rooted in the first gulf war. We agreed to a cessation of hostilities providing that Iraq guarantee, in writing, certain things. The peace treaty included fly over zones, weapons inspections, disarmament, etc. From that point forward, Iraq broke those agreements, and violated close to 20 U.N. sanctions directly linked to the treaty they signed. Going back into Iraq was a simple matter of cleaning up from the first war - which congress authorized.
barneyrl 4 years ago
Further, congress gave President Bush the authority to use whatever force necessary to deal with Iraq. That is PRECISELY why liberals are ticked off at Hillary Clinton and others who VOTED for that authority. Hillary may dance away from it now, but she knew exactly what they were doing. Are you going to tell me you didn't see the Code Pink / Hillary Clinton video?
barneyrl 4 years ago
Still no Declaration of War by The Congress of the United States was there.
troyalldis 4 years ago
What is it that Hillary voted for, and why was Code Pink angry with her?
barneyrl 4 years ago
The Constitution states quite clearly what the federal gov. can and can not do. Anything outside those strictures will eventually get US into trouble. Look at the mess we are in domestically and in foriegn affairs. It's taken many decades to bring US to this point but it was enevitable...the founders clearly warned exactly what would happen if we heeded not their advice and guiding counsel. You are an example of those who willfully disregard their sage advice.
